It's been a year since the last update. You remind me of me with this delay. Really now, you shouldn't let yourself get as bad about these things as I am. I do hope all is well with you, and that nothing serious lies behind the cause of such a gap. When the inspiration next strikes you to write, I'll be delightedly giddy to read what is to happen next (even if it's nothing something exactly happy).

You know, I didn't want to read this at first because I didn't think I could go there - you know, to the pirate place. But then I figured you probably knew what you were doing, so I read it anyway. And yes, I was wrong, wrong, wrong (I figured that out immediately, by the way; didn't take the entire fic). It's a very funny, sexy, engaging story, enjoyable in every way. Yoji is hilarious (and sexy) as a captured noble who's hot for pirate; and Ran is mysterious and compelling (and sexy) in his role. The clues to the backstory are also nicely laid (as it were). Looking forward to the next chapter!

Finally, a kiss!!! Exciting and long-awaited, and certainly welcome, but the jewel of this chapter is the nugget of information about why Ran is out sailing the high seas in a flambouyant pirate hat. Aya-chan, of course! Why didn't I see that coming? I was not a happy camper to have to wait so long for an update, but you certainly didn't disappoint! As always, your writing is clear, humour-laced, and fast moving. I don't know if the Captain wants to separate Ran and Yohji, now he's heard of their kiss, but I hope not. I'm looking forward to seeing what 'pops up' when the fated pair return to the privacy of their cabin. O Mama, I hope the powder room isn't close by. Regardless of when they get it on--they are going to get it on, right?--you are still one of my favourite writers and your stories are always so enjoyable to read! Sorry about the RL stuff, I hope things are better now. Bless you and your speed typing fingers.

The descriptions alone are intoxicating. Dashes of humor, angst, and revelations are mixed perfectly. You are, of course, forgiven -- rereading this and your other stories has helped tide me over in the interum. The ending, however, please come back soon and let us know why Captain Stairs wants to see the both of them -- and then there is that interrupted expectation . . . .

You know, just the other day I was thinking about this fic, and wishing there were more. You have no idea how giddy I was to see you've updated. You really have combined two of my favorite things with this--YxA and pirates. And there's a delightfully psychotic Farfarello, so I suppose you've combined three of my favorite things. Anyway~ So they've kissed, at last! But I agree with Yohji--damn that Stairs. Mutany! MUTANY!! Ran can take 'im!
