How cute was that? Ryou thinking it was 8:30 PM... and then apologizing for staying the night. And what is it with Bakura and showers, hm? ; ) I have to laugh every time there is a reference to his original dream... and Ryou being so bold. You know you are going to have to write that fantasy come true... and Ryou will have to throw some delicious twist to it that will exceed Bakura's wildest expectations... It was inevitable that Ryou would see Bakura's scars. I'm sure that Bakura has to be tired of being reminded of something that will always hurt him as well as having to explain them away - or at least acknowledge them with a blow off - every time he is intimate with someone. I think how he handled it with Ryou was fine and understandable. He wasn't nasty, just blunt and firmly stating that it was not a subject he cared to discuss. Cupping Ryou's cheek and offering to perhaps broach the topic in the future softened the tenseness of the situation - as did Ryou's reaction, kissing Bakura's shoulder. The fact that Ryou did understand, citing instances in his own life that he might prefer to keep quiet, shows maturity and a willingness to respect some personal boundaries... Unlike Malik who is worse than the paparazzi. I'm surprised he wasn't hovering outside Bakura's apartment with a camera waiting for Ryou to come out... or peeking in the windows - that seems to be more his style! ; ) Duke the Stalker... does he really have that much free time on his hands? And why the sudden interest in getting Ryou back? Did Noa dump him? Having such a beautiful, shy young man with so much to give such as Ryou described as "frigid" really burns me! Oh, there so has to be a major confrontation and Bakura so has to kick Duke's ass! Please? ; ) I want front row seats!

An interesting little chapter. the morning-after with Bakura was quite sweet and I had wondered whether or not Bakura still had the scars from his wings. I wonder how long until Bakura comes clean about who and what he really is. Though issues can be left alone for now, in time it will cause friction and pain. The chat with Malik was fun as ever, goodness, he really doesn't know when to stop does he? Though he didn't ask for gory details in the end. And then there was the Duke part, oh I wonder what he is planning to do, is it Bakura or Ryou he plans to antagonize first? Or both at the same time. Oh goodie I can't wait

*jumps in military hld* Yes Yami, right on it, you can put down the scythe now. Now this was a very sweet, hot and meaningful chapter in my opinion. I much liked the way Ryou is strong and yet at the same time has quite some issues. Ah, but that's just how we like the poor boy, isn't it? You really portrayed the way Duke treated Ryou well. It was a very interesting and welcome concept. There are too many scarred-by-rape Ryou's flying around in the world of fanfiction and while sexuality is in there you gave it a completely different twist. I much like the idea of Ryou giving Duke pleasure to avoid being taken. And of course our sweet angel takes good care of Ryou. I loved the way where Bakura twigged and got up to pull up his pants. I also liked that he stopped himself from taking Ryou as he thought Ryou wasn't ready. It spoke of how meaningful their relationship is coming to be. Not to mention him referring to Ryou as 'love'. We are getting somewhere though I'm still curious to who is going to win those bets. Really good chapter, lust and emotion mixed together splendidly! Now to memorize the tricky words. Oh, that was a great part to, it had me laughing. Bakura the toad *sniggers*

Bakura and Ryou... such a lovely couple and boy, did they shine in this chapter. I'll say it again, it really is all about the relationship. I believe that everything that leads up to the moment when that relationship turns a new leaf and becomes more intimate, all that "good stuff" - the initial attraction, the talking and getting to know one another phase, the curious glances combining lust with adoration, the tender touches, the chaste kisses - rounds it all out gives it a more romantic feel when carnal desires are finally acted upon. The easy conversation between the two characters was superb. It flows well, it's light and teasing, sometimes sassy, sometimes serious, often intermingled with a dash of pepperiness to spice it up. Both are so much into the other, taking the time to dress to impress, preening, flaunting their wares. (And both contemplate the word "love"...) And then we get a touch of naughtiness. Ryou sends some mixed signals and even seems to have himself convinced he is ready for that ultimate step of intimacy with Bakura. He is lucky that he has someone as intuitive and patient as Bakura otherwise things could have gone so terribly wrong - in fact, I'm surprised that Duke didn't rape him. Even so, Duke did scar Ryou in a way, jading him to an extent into believing sex is a one-way pleasure street. Such a pity that Ryou should fall into that trained mode where it is almost obligatory to take charge and give pleasure and not receive it. I find that very sad that it would carry over into his new relationship with Bakura, but he didn't know any better, did he? It's also a defense mechanism and a bit of a control issue to come on strong, do enough of the deed to satisfy his partner, leaving his body his own possession. Ah, but on the flipside of that observation, through the whole seduction of Bakura, there were elements of Ryou's own wants and desires, pride that he had aroused his partner so, that his actions were eliciting so much pleasure, that being with Bakura felt natural. Ryou is so delicious when he's naughty and sexy! Interesting that Ryou sort of balked at Bakura's touches and then is disappointed when he thinks Bakura is finished with him - the mixed message thing. And Bakura, always playing the perfect gentleman alleviates Ryou's fears. It was beautiful how Bakura had spoken so lustfully to Ryou and then followed through with what no one else had bothered to do - pleasuring Ryou in kind. Very hot! And, once again, Bakura hits the brakes in Ryou's best interests. This chapter was really a joy to read in more ways than one! I think you captured a wonderful side of Ryou - where he is insecure but aggressive in ways comfortable to him, knows what he wants and yet is unsure of himself, easy to blush but can dish out the innuendo and "insults" just as well. Bakura as a considerate lover is a refreshing change as well. Great read!

I liked that there was more of a personal reason why Yami absolutely despises Seto's very existence. It's much easier to sympathize with that kind of emotion, great pain and loss, than to simply accept open hostilities between the two just because. I also found it highly amusing that Malik and Joey have a bet going as to when Ryou and Bakura are going to get it on! Perhaps even funnier is Yami and Marik having the same bet... poor Akefia... I'm sure that's the kind of conversation he wants to be privy to!

Angelslayer, eh? Sounds like a good name... then again, I might be slightly prejudiced, being "Angel Reaper" and all. Anyway, glad you're back! I actually did draw something from the fic (nothing romantic, sorry), and I'll post it on my DeviantArt account soon. Anyways... Seto was actually enjoyable! I really liked his observations when he was examining everybody's auras, and sarcasm really works for him (my sense of humor is as dry as his). However (this might sound strange) I kinda miss him being a prick. I hope there'll be at least one fight scene between him and Joey... and possibly another steamy scene between Bakura and Ryou, of course. Well, cya!

Aaargh, oh it just had to be Kisara, mh? Generally known as the sweetest character in Yugioh. Well, it sure explains Yami spitting fire whenever Seto is close or discussed. I liked the names they were all given. It was good to see Yami and Bakura get along. The part with Malik and Marik was very cute I thought. Their relationship is growing in such a nice way though it's bound to get rocky and painful at some point. It amused me Yami and Marik have a bet running on when Ryou and Bakura get it on and I can just imagine Akeifa's face about it. Nice chapter!

Do you smell that? That's the smell of freedom... as in Bakura's freedom and it seems to be just around the corner... I think God had a hand in that as well. ; ) I really like Seto's (extremely) dry wit. He's actually very funny. And, the quiet "act" as he sat back and observed the others - aura watching - I liked that as well. The auras mirrored the soul and isn't it interesting that the person that one is drawn to possesses the most beautiful, the most complex aura of all? To the one doing the viewing, at least. ; ) I especially found Seto's comments regarding Bakura's aura uplifting. There may be hope for Bakura's soul but there is also hope for Seto's since he has found some humility which he had been seriously lacking. Ryou played a sub-minor part in this chapter but wow. His confidence level has been kicked up a few notches. You go, Ryou!

I liked this chapter. It showcased the way Seto and Bakura are beginning to see each other. I like how both are, indeed, settling. Seto's attitude is great. I must say I adored the part where he was aura-watching. The way you described all of their aura's and colours was just fantastic! I could just see it in front of me and the colours just...fit. Anxiously awaiting the next chapter as usual *skips off to AMOC*

Joey really has been spending too much time around Malik... he had poor Ryou blushing almost the entire conversation! But, it was all in good fun even at Ryou's expense. And, funny to read! What are friend's for but to abuse? ; ) And the whole Seto/Bakura interaction, I think the best that has come out of it is that Seto has finally given into a grudging sort of respect for Bakura. And, Joey... he doesn't know the shock of a lifetime he is in for, does he when he willingly shacks up with Seto? But, that leaves Bakura and Ryou wide open to carry on with their relationship without too much distraction... Thank God!
