I know... I named this review "Heart Ache", but it was simply because that's exactly how I felt. After a few weeks in the hospital and a nasty emergency surgery, I come back to catch up with the story and my heart just felt so heavy!! +++***+++ Sam's suffering and Kurt's memories, his guilt, his desire to correct everything that is wrong...The purgatory that he has exiled himself to, and the way his soul cries for atonement while at the same time his memories of Sam give him the constant drive to continue in the path of suffering and pain just made me feel like whining like a wounded puppy! +++***+++ If Sam's nightmare was to become real, even if just in part, it would be heartbreaking!! Kurt has dealt with so much guilt and pain throughout his life, and added to that the pain of having met Sam and finally realizing that everything he ever believed was wrong, knowing that Sam suffered so much because he didn't know better and then to suffer again it would just seem so cruel!! +++***+++ I must admit, in the beginning, I HATED Kurt, I really did. But as we got to know him better and as he began to show his true self, I began to understand him and feel that he had his motives (albeit wrong at the time) for making the mistakes he made. +++***+++ Now faced with the little girl, I feel that this is yet another opportunity for him to expiate some of the sins committed in the past. (How much more does he have to endure before he finally redeems himself?) +++***+++ Then there's Sam, I know she is hurting more than meets the eye. After all, she is the one that suffered all those horrors at the hands of the monsters in the lab. Why is she keeping herself so together?, is there a volcano of emotional pain waiting to explode under the surface?, or is she really that strong and even stronger than all her family members to avoid the feelings of revenge that seem to plague the family? +++***+++ Will she have to endure even more pain when the truth is finally out about who Kurt is and face the rage of everyone around her? +++***+++ Last, but not least, is the feeling that I will have to suffer a day without an update!!! ***Whines Pitifully*** WHY??, Oh Why??? Where are the good old days when my favorite writer would have mercy on our souls and gift us with more episodes?? (Notice the dramatic flair)+++***+++ Why must we gnaw our nails waiting like Sam did in that cage until a new update is here? I suffer, and I do not wish to blame it on my all time favorite writer, but I will say that if we were to have a Super-duper-extra-plus-long chapter, or just a few average ones tossed as mercy to us the readers, my heart (and my recovery) would just be much easier to deal with!! (Notice the pathetic attempt to guilt the writer into giving us a bit more chapters or update more frequently). +++***+++ All I can say is that you are blessed with a gift, and your writing is amazing, your imagination is beyond compliments, and I enjoy every word you have written up to this day!! You have managed to make me feel joy, happiness, sadness, pain, anguish, rage and every possible emotion known to humans just by reading your stories!!! Sad and anger are my feelings on the last chapter. But hey.....Kurt's got a baby now. Please let him adopt the baby and give her a pretty name. Maybe by the next chapter I can quit sobbing. Maybe. Maybe.

Vindetta is becoming quite accurate in this story, against all of those corrupt researchers. Kurt can't leave the child behind. I hope that he takes it to Sam and the family, and hopefully he stays then. Keep up the good work, dark

the girl could be the reason kurt finally goes to see sam, and they may raise the girl together.

is the little girl human becuase her mother was raped on one of her human nights? thats so sad. funny ting hough i laughed at the candy part. it reminded me of a pervert trying to get a little kid to follow them. lollll but kurts not a pervert. once hes done with thisbatch of researchers what will happen to the little girl. is she always human or just human for the day? i wonder....anyways cant wait for the next. ad thanks for clearing up the phone thing

I was leaving a comment on the fourm, and low and behold, and new chapter peek was up. I high-tailed it over her to catch the new one. When you said it was shocking, you weren't kidding! I can't believe that a human being would do something like that. Although, if demons were real, I have no doubt that something like that would happen. Humans are horrible creatures. We like to think we're so civilized, but just get on youtube and you can find some of the stupidest, most savage things you'll ever see. I got a little off topic there...sorry. I hate that Belle seen the footage. I was expecting it, but I still hate it. Although, I figured it would be someone else. Well, I'm off to the fourm again. I wanna see the next peek! Ja ne!

I wonder what he'll decide to do once the center in California is gone. There's not much he can do, except go after Sam. I just really hope Sam's dream isn't some projection of the anger inside of Kurt. We've all speculated on what kind of damage Kurt is inflicting upon himself. I just hope he calls again, and gets to speak to Sam this time.

Poor Sami's freaking... at least Kurt's confirmed that she's safe. Now that he knows, maybe he will go find her once he's done in California. I just hope Sami's dream wasn't any kind of prediction...

Oh, happy day! He called! Now he knows his little dem--Samantha--is home and okay! But **ahem** Samantha's not jumping for joy on missing this oh-so-important call and with good reason. GAWD, this is getting complicated and with everyone trying to protect her, it's probably gonna be seen as more of a gift than a curse as time goes on. Whoo, Sam's ferocious abut Kurt! That dream kind of had me going for a bit till I remembered Kurt had everyone on lockdown...scared me for a sec, Sue. **wipes brow** This was so much of a YAY moment in so many ways, this chapter! GOSH, I can wiat for the next one! **chants "Sue loves happy endings" repeatedly**
