Makes me wonder how much of her mental disarray is due to the meds, how much is due to her mate "leaving" her, and how much is due to the constant torture--testing--and growing despair/helplessness thereof. And poor Sam and Kurt. The inner turmoil is sniffle-worthy and I have THAT look on my face. Yanno the kind; when you're so drawn into a situation or event that your face freezes. Inside, I was like, "Well, Jimminy Christmas! I FELT that chapter!" Great one, Sue. Just as bittersweet as I'd expected at this point in the plot. Though, if I did pose one question, it'd be: Is Samantha partially purified--not to the point of hanyou to human tranformation but a serious depletion of hanyou traits and the ever-quieting youkai voice? We shall see, right? Thanks so much for another chapter so soon, Sue! To quote Ralph Kramden, "Baby, you're the greatest!" (thought I was gonna say "To the moon, Alice!", didn'tcha? LOL!)

Thank you Sue for the chapter! I hope you and your family are doing alright. Sam doesnt know the difference between white and black. She's so confused because of the amount of medicine given to her. And she's all alone without her youkai to help her or anyone else for that matter. I hope that a good rest will cure this muddiness inside her head. I also cant wait to see what happens when she calls her family. Will they go get her or will they allow her to come home by herself. And once she gets home will she tell everyone the things she had to go through or will she keep silent? Will Sam ever see or here from Kurt or will he contact her? AHHHHHHHHHHHH! So many questions to few answers! Awesome chapter Sue and cant wait for the next one to come out!

One word: sniffle. I just cried and cried and cried and waterlogged my poor Kleenex fort and Bounty fortress, recently and it's all YOUR fault! You...you...you...great, angsty, heart-jerking authoress, you! You made me--a, for the most part, HARDOCORE tomboy--cry till my throat hurt. I had to keep chanting over and over again: This is fiction, this is fiction, this is fiction... Didn't work. That goodbye in Chaps 48 and 49...OMG, I'm in need of a friggin' HUG after reading that. He let his little demon go. And he KISSED her! **clenches fist** That was a HAPPY CRY moment, Sue! Thanks for all the great chapters at such a regular span of time despite the very real trials going on in your own life. Made these chapters all the more special and treasured and appreciated. All my best for you! Great, great, GREAT chappies! Anxiously, yet patiently, awaiting more. Do you, first, though.

looks like belle or kichiro will have to keep sam alive while others go find kurt to bring him back. sam will be reluctant to leave maine for japan as she is waiting for kurt. similarities with gin / cain and bas / sydnie stories. sam is actually only 3/8 youkai ( 1/8 from kichiro, 1/4 from belle, right?). could sam's youkai been inadvertantly sealed like what kikyou did with inuyasha.

Lordy mother of hosts, that was painful!! So painful that I had to read it twice. Don't get me wrong it was beautiful, but I could feel every inch of pain that they were feeling as if it was my own burden to bear. I don't know how you're going to get them back together, but you do it, because I seriously doubt that Sam is going to last that long without him. Afterall, she did accept his as her mate didn't she? Please give us one more chapter tonight so that I'll be assured of having a good weekend. Otherwise I just know that I won't get any sleep and my friends will curse me because I'll be refusing to go anywhere without my laptop. Wonderful job as always!!

That was... quite possibly one of the most heart-wrenching moments I've ever read of yours. Their pain was so real, and I'm anxious for them to see each other again already. Great work, as always, and I look forward to the next chapter. :)

His 'holy' blood is diluting her demon blood, something that could hopefully work out in the end... but in the meanwhile, wouldn't she smell like Kurt? And now isn't she practially mated to him also...? I really do hope that Kurt realizes that it was a mistake to let Sam go. Keep up the good work, dark

Wow. I really was crying. The parting between the two was so sad and yet so beautiful. I mean you know that Sam is going to be reunited with her family, something that she's wanted all along but on the other hand, the most important thing, she's not going to see Kurt again. The only reason she's leaving is because of the promise, well actually the lie, that Kurt told her. Promising her that he'll come looking for her. I hope that there's going to be a happy ending with these two. They deserve it. Awesome chapter Sue and cant wait for the next one to come out! Hope you and your family are doing ok.
