I do have a question though, as we saw in the inuyasha manga/anime/movies, demons grow to be very old, there was even a one thousand year old demon there and inuyasha was already 200 (looked like 16) by the time kagome came through the well, so what makes it so that demons died off or not exist any more (or if they do, why does the Naicho not know of their current, modern-day existence)? Will you leave it as an unanswered fact in your story (ie demons died off) or will you come at us with a twist? | Reviewed By: SplendentGoddess [MediaMiner Member] On: October 17, 2011 20:25 PDT Rating(s):Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: All right, a new chapter! A lovely, Inuyasha and Kagome centered chapter at that. I agree, at that point in the game, only a few more days out, especially considering how miserable they were both becoming, then the little break was definitely needed. I also loved the cute awkwardness about sharing the private hot spring, and Inuyasha openly going along with pretending they're married. Definitely not the spluttering, fumbling adolescent he used to be. Well, at times, LOL, but I agree with Kagome's assessment, he's definitely matured a lot. The 'old' Inuyasha definitely would have ruined the mood in some way or another. Beautifully done! They're almost to the home stretch with getting back to the well, and there in the background we can see their feelings developing along the way. Can't wait for the next update! Well, I guess I have to, but you know what I mean! ;-) | Reviewed By: xFinalActsGirlx On: October 16, 2011 17:00 PDT Comment/Review: Loved loved loved! The tampon joke was super funny! I really like how you handled this, having the authorities find out. Now the question just becomes whether or not the government will agree with Arakaki's assessment that Inuyasha is no threat to them and their world. I can see two outrageously different extremes developing as a result of his national exposure. One, they refuse to listen to reason, refusing to 'take any chances', and Kagome's family gets dragged into the middle of it for questioning, gets sentenced for 'harboring' and a whole slew of other crap that would basically mean Kagome is exiled to the past for the rest of her life, assuming the two of them can make it through the well okay. Two...and what I think would be hilariously awesome, would be for nation wide recognition of Inuyasha as some kind of a superman-esque hero, where everyone loves and praises him, LOL. A more realistic approach would probably be the desire to keep everything under wraps and hush-hush, so maybe so long as they learn that Inuyasha plans on staying in the past then they'll just let him go? Of course, there's still Yashida and his gang to take into consideration. Where's a future-time 500-year-older Sesshoumaru when you need one? LOL. No matter, excellent update, the 'story time' was a cute scene, and I'm loving how the romantic aspect of their relationship is slowly blossoming in each of their hearts throughout this mini adventure. Super looking forward to the next update! | Reviewed By: anime_maniac_1001 [MediaMiner Member] On: October 01, 2011 20:19 PDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 10 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: This is an great fanfic. It's beautifully written, truly unique, and it's kept me up past the time I should have been; all equally one of the best I've ever read. I can truly say that I have read A LOT of Inuyasha stories and this is really original. Please continue to write and I shall wait with bated breath for your next update. Each of them is more than capable of demon hunting and saving people. Plus, how do they get those rumors of Naraku if they stay in town between episodes? Touch too easy, traveling with Kagome and Inuyasha! They've gone soft. Kikyou should throw a monkey wrench in when-- if-- they manage to get back to the past. As for the professor's plans? We'll see... | Reviewed By: SplendentGoddess [MediaMiner Member] On: September 19, 2011 12:00 PDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 10 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Yay! Seriously, every time I really start to jones for an update to this story, you never cease to deliver! Just for the last two days or so I really started thinking about this one and wishing for an update, and boom, satisfaction guaranteed. I like that you opened once again with Miroku and Sango; as much as I want to stay focused on Inuyasha and Kagome, not all that much is happening with them right now and we mustn't allow ourselves to forget about everyone else involved. I like that you incorporated Kikyou, for the sheer realistic factor that I'm sure she would be able to sense it that Kagome had been away for a while, and so therefore her arrival to check things out made sense. Hopefully by the time Kagome and Inuyasha actually do return he'll be able to put her in her place when she tries to remind him 'of whom he is bound to'. I was starting to worry though after halfway through that the chapter was going to be all Feudal era - not that there's anything wrong with that but I need my Inu/Kag fix! - and so phew...we got to see a glimpse into their lives and a quick little catchup to let us know how they've been fairing. I imagine that so long as they stay away from hikers and whoever else might be up in the mountains that their day to day travels should remain fairly similar to their last three days together, although I am sure you will give us more in-depth moments when it comes to their developing emotions. And that little bit down at the end there...I wasn't expecting it but I must say I'm glad. I always knew Sasaki wasn’t quite as heartless as the others, and the ensuing chaos of Sasaki turning everyone in might just very well be the distraction that Kagome and Inuyasha will need to successfully escape through the well, because otherwise how are they supposed to even go anywhere near the Higurashi shrine with Yoshida's men monitoring it 24/7? As always, I'm now immediately on pins and needles for the next chapter, LOL, but at least this satisfied my immediate need for a fix. Awesome work! | Reviewed By: SplendentGoddess [MediaMiner Member] On: August 27, 2011 14:02 PDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 10 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Yay! *happy dance* You tease you, having us freaking out that Kagome is going to the mall and right into the arms of the bad guys when all along you'd planned on having them go to a different store instead. Brilliant! I absolutely loved everything about this chapter, it was so well thought out! From the prepaid phone, to how she called Souta at school and had her mom call her back from a payphone, to dying Inuyasha's hair even...excellent! And I love how you worked in him cutting his hair, it's something we never really think about, but his bangs and side locks, yeah those would have to be trimmed from time to time. It's something so simple and not even worth mentioning that of course we all just figure he occasionally cuts his hair himself and so so what, right? BFD. BUT it gave you that perfect little moment of squishiness as Kagome offers to do it for him. Awesome! And hopefully her family will get out of dodge, and so far so good with them not getting caught! Even on CSI they have trouble with the prepaid cell phones, LOL, so even if they figure out the call that came into Souta and get the school's records to get the number that his 'aunt' had called from, they would hit a dead end when they realized it was a prepaid phone. I don't even think those things have GPS, but assuming the ones in Japan do then that's why she threw it away! Ha! Take that! I'm sure they are bound to still have more troubles ahead, not for a while unless they run into a hiker or something, but it will definitely be a showdown when they finally get to the shrine. Hopefully Kagome's worst fears don't come true where the bad guys get their hands on her family. Whatever you are planning though, I trust you. There might be crazy "Oh no!" drama moments, but so long as nobody gets killed - besides the bad guys, don't mind how many of them go down. ;-) Keep up the fabulous work! | Reviewed By: Miss_Marilyn69 [MediaMiner Member] On: August 27, 2011 02:44 PDT Rating(s):Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Kagome your one tough cookie! Looking forward to more. | Reviewed By: =) On: July 25, 2011 11:21 PDT Comment/Review: do they have malls in japan? especially in the suburbs? one would imagine that inuyasha would have gotten a whiff of a lot of the guys who were guarding them and are possibly after them that he'll hopefully recognize if any of them are casing that particular shopping area. although if kagome were to be alone and somehow disguise her eyes and change her hair style a bit and go when other girls her age were about she may be able to blend in. exciting! | Title: Naraku please stay in hidding!! Hmm...just what their captors expected. ~.- Wonder how this will go?? Its gonna get pretty cold up in those mountains, Kagome. How are you going to keep warm..? Haha update when you can please! Another great chapter. | Reviewed By: SplendentGoddess [MediaMiner Member] On: July 22, 2011 18:35 PDT Rating(s):Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Uh-oh...no! Don't go to the mall! Well, on a positive note surely Kagome isn't stupid enough to let the 'Crimson Cat' go into the mall with her, and hopefully she won't be the only school uniform in the place. I was wondering...since you didn't have him go through the new moon transformation while caged, just how far away is the next new moon? Though I can understand why they couldn't just stay hidden in the forest for however many days until they could sneak into town at night with him human. One, still wearing the same outfit, and surely she blabbed about the new moon during her drug-induced interrogation so the bad guys know, and two, with no supplies of any kind and the possibility of a fire getting them noticed they couldn't really stay in the forest to wait it out. Hopefully they can avoid recapture. Hopefully she can also someday somehow find a way to contact her family just to let them know she's actually still alive. Maybe write it all down in a letter and mail it without a return address? Of course since they ultimately need to get to the shrine, and the bad guys are expecting that, that ought to make for quite the showdown. I hope Kagome's family doesn't get caught in the middle as hostages for leverage! Oh kami! This is a really good story...keep it up! | Title: Congrats!!!
