Crap, the bad guys were smarter than I thought they were, though of course it makes sense that 21st century bad guys that do this sort of thing for a living would know what they were doing. It seems they've covered all the bases, except for realizing just how powerful Inuyasha truly is. I'm sure he'd go full-youkai before letting anybody dissect him. And what's with bad guys always having no sense of honor, anyway? I mean, I guess that sounds like a stupid question, but after hearing Kagome's whole story you'd think they'd realize how important she and Inuyasha are to the whole fabric of time and stopping Naraku and all that, but nooooooo, let's make money and study the hanyou. Greedy bastards probably want to get their own hands on the jewel, too, LOL. Kami, can you write a good drama! This chapter was so hard for me to read. I love your work and I know you have an incredible journey in store fro Inuyasha and Kagome; but until then it seems it must get worse before it gets better. :( The way you describe the behavior of each character and scenery is amazing, so vivid! That is why I found it difficult to read this chapter, it was just so real! you could really feel the drama in each scene. Hmm IY was holding the sword away from him when he got knocked out cold by the third dart. Bum Bum BUM. Remind me to smack Kagome upside the head the next time I see her. She's actually going to go back to school tomorrow? Doh! Although, since the bad guys know where she lives I guess it doesn't really matter. And we did a little back and forth because we saw her evening at home and Inuyasha going back with her, presumably to a well-house full of squealing teenage girls, but then cut back to the evil duo at the school presumably only very shortly after Kagome's departure. Was there perhaps already a 'visitor' at the shrine during her fiasco with the well? Not that he would've seen that, but he could have seen Inuyasha's presence and is now biding his time. If not he'll still be making his appearance soon enough, anyway. I get the feeling he doesn't mess around. Oh the humanity! Or...half-humanity! Whatever! Alien or mutant? *snort* Then again, in this modern day and age, I guess the more scientific minds of most people would go in that direction first before 'mythological creature'. Still, super looking forward to seeing what happens next, whatever that may be! I know if Kagome ends up in a bind, all captured with a bag over her head or whatever, Inuyasha will end up rescuing her ass one way or another before something really bad happens. Good stories gotta have their drama, after all, and Kagome is a tough girl, so I'm sure she can survive whatever you put her through. Also I read a lot of fanfics and I am pretty good at determining the sex of the author due to certain writing preferences, but your writing style is quite unique it has a different feel to it. Time travel creates so many problems, yet it's such a tempting story concept. Always wondered how artifacts from Kagome's time (including the occasional candy wrapper) might get preserved and found in her time. Of course, time travel means that although the card was found 2 months ago, it was only a few days since Kagome dropped it, in her timeline. Good and crazy. I hope you heat up the relationship between them because- really, did Souta have to interrupt the only potential kiss scene in the entire manga series?! Yay! Okay, so that totally explains the cave and how her ID got left in there. I'm still waiting for the moment Kagome discovers she can't find her ID. Guess since the discovery in the cave was two months ago now then she missed hearing about that one, not that she probably would have since she's not connected to the archeological world. Figures that guy saw the thing on the news and remembered the school name. Doh! I think you've got Kagome and Inuyasha's characters down pat in this one. Her reaction especially was right on, because she definitely would've blown up for that first second before calming down and realizing it wasn't really his fault and that he is a hero. I think Inuyasha's views on suicide are also realistic for his personality, so no worries there. You just had to call him the 'Crimson Cat' didn't you? LOL! I don't mind ditching that episode with the dried vegetables, fine with me that that never happened, but Kagome's right, her friends still all met Inuyasha and saw what he looked like. There's no way those three aren't going to put two and two together. Especially since the news also said there had been reports of seeing him near their school. Boy oh boy...and now that that man knows who Kagome is and where she lives...things are about to get very Interesting. Of course, she can't just go and prevent him from finding her after he introduces himself by going back for her ID either, paradoxes aside, because Miroku put wards up on the cave so nobody can enter! Oh. My. God. A new King Baka story!!!! *Squee!* Holy shit, where do I begin? Okay, well for starters love this cute little teaser. For the purposes of your story, I think an ID card probably works the best, considering it's probably the only thing Kagome would have on her that's laminated. That being said, remind me to smack Kagome upside the head the next time I see her! What the #*$^@ was she thinking even having her ID card with her in the past in the first place?! I know we haven't spoken about this story at all (you sneaky bastard!) so I have absolutely no idea where you plan on going with this, but I can still just soooo see it in my head. There they all are, piling all that shit in the cave because...uh? Preparing for a future battle with Naraku? Kagome wants to go get it later to sell and become rich? (Too late for that one!) Well...whatever the reason behind it, there they all are, piling all that shit in the cave, Inuyasha moves the bolder, Kagome goes back home and...*feels around* Where's my ID? LOL. Surely if she'd known she'd dropped it in the cave Inuyasha could have moved the bolder again for her to get it, but I know I'm getting waaaaaaaaayyyyy ahead of myself. I can't wait for time to go full circle, though, because even though there won't be an announcement of anyone finding that ID (or at least not yet) once Kagome and them all put that stuff in the cave, won't she realize, Hey, wait a minute...didn't I hear on the news...? LOL, but of course, I'm getting ahead of myself again, but I can't help it! This is what your stories do to me! See what you started?!?!
