Kagome seemed a lot more comfortable when Inuyasha was delirious. Now that the claiming is for real and for life, she's hesitating.
This was markedly different from chapter one. For all Kagome's sorrow then, she showed fairly little hesitation. This one was all nerovousness and unease: Kagome was scared, and it makes sense. Inuyasha was visibly trying to put her at ease... And he didn't do a bad job for two ordinary teenagers for their first time.
Too bad this isn't their first time and the stakes are far from ordinary.
So Inuyasha's psyche is a muddy forest, and the only stable point is the one he was pinned to for fifty years. Coooooool. |

The scene in the cavern is so sweet and sad...
He'd ask her to take the beads off if he needed her to trust him; it makes so much sense! It's PERFECT and it didn't even occur to me...
I can see how Kag would be nervous and scared, and not just 'cause she's got an unleashed Inuyasha who's grinning like a cheshire cat. So she's going to get to judge his every thought, his every mean little headclick against Sess or Naraku or Kouga, his every resentment against his parents, humans, the world, and even her for running off through the well... Even his memories of Kikyou.
I wonder if she'll judge him at all. |

You're so cool. I just loved it. I can't wait for the end. Though now I know why I like Miroku so much. He doesn't need to be senseless for me to get what I want.
