This chapter shows him to be human. I mean he made a possible mistake and he didn't try to get out of it. Also a good point was brought up about the fiancees.

you know, thats probably why im enjoying this fic so much. because it is real. Because it isnt the sterotypical view of ranma, the sexless perfect child. Though i don't know if he would have gone all the way with jean, he definately would have done something. Although i have NO clue how you would manage to work this into another person matchup now (most characters, on the list, minusing emma and rogue, would give up right then, and rogue would become even more depressed, probably), i have faith itll work out well. keep up the good writing.

I'm not striving for inhuman characters. People have real problems, most of which is often ignored in fanfiction. I've realized I've been working quite a bit on social intereaction with this fic, and less on the 'Go kill the bad guy' type scenario these things usually fall into. Ranma, Jean, Nabs, everyone is human. They make human choices, and will likly reap human rewards/consequences. I've never believed Ranma Saotome was a saint, by any means of the word. He's human just like anyone else. Anyone who says crap like "He doesn't understand sex, has no practical knowledge of the act, ect. ect." are simply inferring, like the majority of fanfic readers, what they believe to be true from the Manga/Anime. I'm pretty damn sure I've never seen Takahashi write Ranma as if he was either sexually active, or as a asexual (Which most people like to write, we've noticed). So you can really either go for both sides of the argument. I'm more of a realist then anything else, so instead of following the status quo with Ranma, I've gone and turned him into something more human, with.. *gasp* real human desires and problems. I've recieved a crap load of emails about this chapter, most with one final sentence in it "Don't erase it, he's human in this fic." Seeing that, I've decided to keep it and simply build up from there. Thanks to everyone who emailed me, ect. ect.

Wow, this fic has been great so far, Jean scenario included. Those who say Ranma's actions are OOC make him out to be inhuman. The way this fic has been progressing, with all the angst, sexual tension, and human interaction, everything feels more real than Takahashi's version ever could. Granted, a little chaotic, but since when has Ranma's life been anything but? Good job, Matdeception.

This last chapter is way OOC for Ranma, and to be honest it really doesn't fit into the story you've been writing in my opinion. Ranma is definately someone who doesn't deal well with close contact with the opposite sex, and Jean and him together doesn't really fit, but its your story so write what you feel is right.

Score one vote for the ridiculous option. (J/R/K/E anything w/ an XX chromosome pair... secondary mutation anyone? pheromones? *_*) This, this was odd, compelling but odd. I've seen you painting yourself into a corner before (the picture scam) so I won't be too worried about pulling this off believeably yet. Can't wait to see Scott's reaction though... but then again, he's not Jeans in this setting, nor is she his, but still I sense a great disturbance in the facade of fearless leader. ^_^ Looking forward to more, and btw; won't Ris.. Ahem Mystique totally freak out one of these days? I mean yeah, absentee parent but sheesh man. Yeah he's manly, but I doubt she was looking to bear the mega-playboy. (specially' since he's hanging around Rogue and vice versa). Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see how your going to pull this one out of the hat. ~JS

Jean or Nabiki. Rogue is just too weird cuz they are family.

NO! Don't erase this. It's pretty well done, and it's really logical. With Jean's momentary psychic connection with Ranma, it was BOUND to happen. Jean, in X-Men Evolution anyway, has a mask, which you already brought up. She's like Akane in some aspects, trying to be someone she'd rather not be, but was forced to be. You can imagine the sexual frustration on the girl, especially since she's a 'goodie two-shoes girl'. Frankly, a release might do a whole world of good for Jean. And, this also produces a chaotic love square for you to exploit. Emma might succumb next, since she's another person who got into Ranma's reaaaaally chaotic mind. You can also include Nabiki too. As you've said, it doesn't mean that whoever Ranma bones in the fic WILL become his partner for life. Whether people like it or not, society nowadays believe in Casual Sex. Also, as I said, Jean would probably freak BIGTIME since she's kinda out of it when Ranma and Jean did IT. No, you don't have to erase this chapter. It's very well done. I love it. It explains how human every one of them is, no matter how powerful they might become. Not that Ranma's a pretty powerful mutant in the first place. A momentary loss of control for someone as self-assured as Jean would help the girl loosen up some, and would probably cause her to become a lot more relaxed in the next few years of her life, with that mental anguish she undergoes everyday. And now we get to see Scott rant, an' Logan boggle.

So he banged Jean. Big deal people. I feel that the story should be left the way it is. For good or for bad the story should be the path the author chooses. I have been reading this story since it came out and I've rather enjoyed it. So what if its OOC at times. It makes the story to me much more interesting. Those that usually think that the charaters need to act in-charater all the time are the ones that usually have no imagination what so ever. This is my opinion so don't take it to serious like some people would. Anyway, I hope to see more chapters in future soon. As for match-ups, let's go with Rogue. I haven't seen to many fics with them as a pair. Jean/Ranma isn't a bad match up either so if Rogue doesn't work out. Go with this match-up.

I don't really like this last chapter, it seems a bit OOC for both of them. you said in notes that any guy with a social life would know stuff... but Ranma doesn't have a social life like that. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it seems like a bit too sudden of a change, with very little set-up. yeah... and I want to vote for the Rogue, Jean, Emma, and Nabiki option (was it all four? whichever one had a bunch of them way at the bottom of the chapter.

While I like the idea of Ranma and Jean getting together, somehow I feel it should be done in a different way. Of course I'm still hoping for a Ranma/Rogue match, but Jean should fit in there somewhere. As for Emma...I don't like her. Not sure why, but I'm personally against her getting anywhere. The last few sentences with Nabiki complaining to Wanda that she needs to put out faster are both funny and have the potential to lead to lots of interesting situations. I wish there was a way to scrap most of the Ranma and Jean thing, and keep that last bit. Ah well. On the other hand, I like the fact that you pump out the chapters fast, and keep the pace going. Backing up also seems wrong. As a last note, I spotted the 'ripped condom' part of it. Do I sense a pregnant Jean? I'm still voting for Ranma/Rogue and Nabiki/Wanda, but you're certainly making some very interesting twists and loops in the plot.

i belive ranma was ignorant of sex the whole time he was in nerima ranma is not perfect he sticks his foot in his mouth alot but also know that with malnutrition and the kind of exercise ranma gets its not unheard of for puberity to set in reallly late from some of the things i heard it would be possable ranma did not hit puberity till 18 or 20 which means ranma would not nessary be a "man" instead of a little "boy"

Send me an email. I have that same problem, with mediaminer not updating. It's not hard to fix, only problem is you got to do it often to make sure it works.
