Thanks for updating! I enjoyed Ken's mental dialogue, and have the utmost sympathy for him. He's about as straight arrow as they come, and it is freaking him out to discover his interest in Omi. I just can't see Omi as being unaware of what he's doing to Ken. He's acting like he likes him, but not pressing the issue, but Ken hasn't quite come to his moment of truth that his feelings are returned. Excellent writing!

I really enjoyed chapter 18. I particularly liked that Aya gave Yohji the key to his psyche, and was then shocked that he used it. I also liked that Yohji's first response, after figuring out that Aya had a problem that he couldn't or wouldn't speak about, was to try to figure out how he could help. Both these responses seemed very in character to me. At the risk of offending Ken/Omi fans everywhere, I hope that they won't get the entire next chapter to themselves. Aya and Yohji seem as though something resembling communication might actually occur; I'd like to see the momentum continue there. Thanks for sharing this story with us. Looking forward to your next update.

Great chapter! I believe there was a hint in White Shaman that Ken was given access to Aya's file -- and Ken was on shift when Manx came by and said Birman was making arrangements for Aya-chan. Yohji had neither file access nor was present when Manx made those comments. I loved the humor with hints of angst and yet more emotional depth -- like the gentle comment that orange was not Aya's favorite color, and why. I particularly love Aya's observation, and how you expressed it, for why they should not return immediately. I look forward to more (particularly given the bookstore comment), but admit, while I love Ken and Omi, I'm an even bigger Aya and Yohji fan.
