Gray Areas takes place 50 years after Bella leaves Edward for Jacob. Edward watches over her for 50 years but eventually realizes how pathetic it is and finally leaves to go back to his family. He goes to the hospital that Carlise now works at when the hospital catches fire and burns to the ground.
Emma Porter has lived in an orphanage for seven years, after her parents were burned in a hospital fire and Emma mysteriously wound up outside the hospital unharmed. For seven years she dreams every night about the same beautiful face but can't seem to figure out who he is or where she has seen him.
Will she ever find out that Edward is the mysterious stranger who saved her life that night? Will she ever find out why she dreams about him every night of her life? Will he ever be able to open up to someone else after Bella? So many unanswered questions. But no answers are black and white. There's always gray areas.
