Meiken is the inu youkai of Kagome.
Inu Yasha and Sessoumaru are the inu youkai of Kikyo.
Kikyo wishes to have more inu youkai, to sell at the slave markets. Especially the pups of Meiken, the fastest and most clever inu youkai she knows of.
Meiken has no intention of becoming a mother, but Kagome must leave to save Sango's village and Kikyo is now in charge of Meiken.
