Naruku is dead--he took Kiyko along with him and now after the battle is over Kogmae is dying. Inuyasha can do nothing but sit back and let the love of his life be ripped from his grasp once again. She comes to him in dreams, and tells him, she will come to him. Years later Inuyasha is running through the forest when he smells blood...demon wolf bood...like Koga...but its female.
