i don't quite know what it is, but there's some quality to your writing that isn't really found anywhere else. when i read other fanfiction i've actually thought "this would be better if it was written in tempest's style". great chapter. the events were very much a pleasant surprise, haha. can't wait til chapter nine!

Oh Lord! This was gut-wrenching in the most beautiful way! She created a distraction so that Vegeta wouldn't die, knowing full well what would've happened if she hadn't succeeded. I like their dynamic, Vegeta in denial and Bulma being stubborn.

First off, I must say I am VERY glad that you're writing again :). This story is absolutely rivetting and I look forward to what you have in store for us next. PS, I love Bulma's profound quote at the end where she says: "We try to banish the darkness with laughter or jokes. Or fill the silence with the sound of our voices, but only the truly courageous acknowledge the shadows at the edge of the light." -- That's one I'll be remembering. :)

A very, very dark and powerful chapter. I was on the edge of my seat with this one. I loved the last line of your first paragraph: "Saiyans were war personified" - a quite concise and definitely fitting statement. I also liked Bulma helping wash Vegeta's hands at the end. It was all she could do for him, so she did it. Well done; I am very much looking forward to your next chapter.

Very nice, glad to see the brutal side of Vegeta coming out again. Nice fight scene too. I'm interested to see what happens when Frieza and cronies learn what happened to Thorn.

ooooo, this chapter was awesome. i especially liked the bit about the fury in Vegeta's eyes when Bulma offers herself to Thorn, haha. keep up the good work! can't wait for ch. 8 :D

Wow. Just wow. I love the predatory violence in this chapter. Two males fighting for the rights to a woman. Intense! I must say I love how you made Bulma still hold onto her innocence against the bloodshed but at the same time show her understanding for it. I love how rational you make her (unlike in a lot of other fanfics out there). I might sound like a dork but I'm so glad you updated today. My husband and I are going up to Virginia until next Monday and I was so scared I would miss your update. It would have KILLED me with suspense! Now I have a NEW chapter to look forward to when I return :D One more side note, take a peek at this drawing if you have the time: when I read this I was like "this is how I invision Vegeta too! How horribly dramatic but, as usual, well written. I love your descriptions of the characters and how do you continue to make Bulma a strong character (great comment to Zarbon). I can't wait to see where you take them next.

Frankly, its refreshing to read a more subdued Bulma then the cursing screaming sluty fishwife I'm used to. This way she's more feminine and Vegeta is more inclined to protect her. Its been awhile since you wrote a story and I'm very glad you're back.

I have to say I really enjoy the premise of this fic now I've read more chatpers. I love the idea of Vegeta and Bulma beign stuck in a cell without barriers and having to get to know one another because they're both victims of circumstance. Having to be laid bare and maintaining emotional barriers is close to impossible. And I like the level of sexual tension. It'a a very believable premise and I'm happy to see how it's unfolding.
