I appreciate the author's note, although you really only confirmed what I already knew and said. The scene with Kag on the toilet was what I was talking about, when I said they knew Inuyasha couldn't have been with Kikyou because of the specific date when Kikyou said they had sex. I remembered that Kikyou had told the story that she and Inu slept together while Inu had been away on a thing, but what I didn't remember off the top of my head was whether or not there had been any confusion about that in Inuyasha's own mind. I would think a man would know whether or not he slept with his ex, but that was why I said that if he had occasion to get drunk then I could see him getting faked out, if he thought maybe he'd gotten drunk and didn't remember, but then they know it's not true anyway because Kagome has proof that he was with her and the others the night in question. Looking back on it I just couldn't remember off the top of my head if that proof was only for the sake of court, for his alibi, or if Inu had actually been confused at first. I do remember he didn't remember the toilet scene at first and then that scene where they all laughed at Kagome as the photo came out, LOL. No matter, I absolutely LOVE your story and so I was most certainly not criticizing you in any way, I was merely pointing out Morimoto's mistake, because I'm so into your story that your characters are real to me. I just think it's foolish of Morimoto to think that Inuyasha would actually think he was the father, that's all I meant, like a big flaw in his plan, because just like you showed us they all realized it was a lie and not true. I just meant that Morimoto is really stupid to not have realized himself that Inuyasha would realize it wasn't true. And even if Inuyasha thought it really could be true, one whiff of the baby after it was born should prove to every inu's nose that Inuyasha is not the father. But like I said I LOVE your story, and I loved this chapter with the flashback info and clearing it up that Inu does in fact know that Morimoto killed his father but he just can't go after him because of the court ruling. Which also explains why Morimoto is doing this elaborate plan to crush Inuyasha since he's not allowed to physically attack him, either, or else immediately go to death row for it. I liked that addition and clear-up, and also the love you showed us in this chapter between Inu and Kag. I didn't mean to make you think I wasn't following along with your plot. Here I am just browsing through mediaminer and lo and behold I find your story posted! I got so excited! I love this story. You gave life between Inuyasha and Kagome besides the usual she falls in love with him. You twisted it. You made he work for it. You gave their relationships ups and downs, obstacles that they had to work through to over come. You gave the story a complex feel and I love each and every update! Good update! I liked the way everything played out with Morimoto, although I'm a tiny bit confused by Morimoto thinking Inuyasha would actually think he was the father. Wouldn't Inuyasha obviously know he wasn't and that Kikyou had to be lying, but that the whole thing was just to ruin his image in the media because the rest of the world would think that Inuyasha was the father? Unless it was actually possible that Inuyasha occasionally gets drunk enough to theoretically forget about an encounter with his ex, though we already know they'd eliminated that as a possibility on their end because of the specific night in question that Kikyou claimed it went down and Inuyasha's whereabouts at that time. But eh, it doesn't strike me that either Kikyou or Morimoto, or even the two of them combined, are very high up in the intelligence department...which was brilliantly illustrated by Morimoto's repeat insistence that kiwis are vegetables, LOL. All in all great chapter! They've definitely got what they need to take his ass to court now, at least where the slander against Inuyasha is concerned. Murder charges are another matter, though I'm sure Naraku can think of something, and I'm looking forward to your explanation next chapter for what actually happened to Inuyasha's father. Good job. Yay! So far so good. I'm glad that Kagome didn't go in after all, since Morimoto would have recognized her. I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the staged explosion of Sango, I mean Kitty, seeing one of the two bitches that stole her ex-boyfriend. And of course Kikyou has no idea who Sango is so she can't dispute anything Sango says. Just hopefully Sango can keep her shock at bay from seeing Miroku so she doesn't accidentally blow their cover by blurting out his name or something. Then they would have to think on the fly of another way how they know each other. Well I know you know what you're doing, so I'll just sit back and watch. Oooh! Loving the latest update! That is very sweet of Inuyasha, to give Shippou first dibs of the company since it would have been his had Sesshoumaru not turned it down. Kagome's right, not many rich snobby famous guys would have done that. Loved everything else too, of course, especially Inuyasha's thoughts that when the time comes, he'll ask her to accept his mark of intent in a special way. I'm glad to see that he has learned how to be mature when the moment calls for it. And right now with all this Kikyou and Morimoto business just getting ready to go down this is definitely no time for jokes and pranks. I'm worried now what will happen if Morimoto does spot Kagome and recognizes her. I can understand her wanting to be able to be in there to keep an eye on Sango, but still, Inuyasha totally has a point and I agree that she shouldn't go. Maybe they could have let somebody else in on what was going on so that there could be a set of eyes in there making sure Sango was okay, but it definitely shouldn't be Kagome. At least we know since Sango has a wire that if Inuyasha hears anything go south Kagome's definitely right in that he'll charge into the building hero-style before Morimoto has a chance to do anything. At least...I hope so. I guess that depends on how much drama you're planning on putting into this bad boy, LOL. But whatever you dish out for the next chapter I know I'll love it. Yay! *Does happy dance* Way to be subtle, Rin, LOL, but ya know, sometimes straight forward and to the point is the best way to do it, and it got Inu the answer he wanted so all's well that ends well. The question now becomes whether he'll be subtle or approach the subject in some more direct way that either deliberately or inadvertently lets Kagome know that he already knows her answer. She might be irked and feel tricked for a minute if she realizes he was eavesdropping, though you can't really blame the guy all that much since it just came from a place of love, because he wants to mark her but doesn't want to risk scaring her off if she wasn't ready for that yet. However he ends up handling the situation, I see a mark of intent in their futures, so yay for that! Also, I got a kick out of the first part of the chapter, and Yura being pregnant, Kagome's femme-CEO coming out, and then her genius idea to send everyone home but Miroku. LOL! You're such a fabulous author. I can't really do comedy all that well. A few good one-liners here and there sure, that's not too hard, but one giant scene of pure hilarity right after the other? Gah! My stupid DSL went down halfway through reading the last chapter, and I waited for over an hour last night for it to come back on while I fiddled around with other stuff 'cause I wanted to review! So I did read your latest chapter last night even though I'm just reviewing this morning. Anyway...figures Kagome got the job now that she doesn't want to be separated from Inuyasha any more, LOL, though it sounds like it's still a kick-ass job and would be beneficial for her and her career. Decisions decisions... I'm sure whatever happens in that regard that it'll all work out, though, so I'm not worried. What's up with Izayoi seeing Inutaisho's ghost, though? Did she really see his ghost? If so that's cool, though also worrisome, under the pretense that he could be trying to warn her about something. At first I had thought that maybe she hadn't really seen him though, and that it had been a trick or would later be revealed to be a trick of somebody's and that someone is screwing with her, but now I don't think so, I bet you meant for that to be real. Which like I said is cool, I'm just worried that Inutaisho knows something we don't... The whole thing with Sango and Morimoto is coming up soon, so I'm super looking forward to seeing how all of that goes down. And also all this talk of a mark of intent, yay! I had thought that Inu biting her renchaku mark before was possibly him placing a mark of intent without telling her...though then again you haven't clarified that it wasn't, LOL, but even if he was just biting the mark without doing any magic to it because biting it feels super awesome for Kagome and so that's all he did, that's cool, I'm still stoked that talk of marks of intent have come up and hopefully it'll get back to Inu in one way or another that Kagome let it slip that she wouldn't mind wearing that mark. Never a dull day at Takahashi Group of Companies, LOL. I missed the scoreboard too! Everything is kind of back to normal in a way, and yet it's so not with all of the new changes to Inu and Kag's relationship and the drama with that whole Kikyou/Morimoto thing still unresolved. Wow...four new chapters at once! I guess you kept yourself busy while MM was temporarily glitching. Going to review one chapter at a time, so so far, gotta say that birthday party scene was cute, especially the way Inu was noticing how Kagome looked like a mommy while holding Kanna. I loved that the prank at the end was a bucket of rose petals and not water; I had been cringing along with Kagome at the end there that it was going to be a nasty prank, so that was nice to see. And awwww...an official request to be official. Can't wait to see what happens next! But I don't have to wait! Wow...I was not expecting another update so soon! Yay! I also saw your a/n you added to the previous chapter, and I'll admit, I did have kind of a 'wait, when did he get naked?' moment reading that lemon, but the entire scene was so wonderful that I just didn't care and presumed that it obviously had to have happened at one point or another, LOL. But back to your latest chapter. That phone conversation was hilarious, and I was not expecting that mini-twist, or I guess it's not really a twist, of Kagome and Sango spotting Kikyou at the mall, but that was a fabulous addition. I loved Sango's comment about them 'so' being CSI, LOL. And I'm also glad that they kept out of sight because we can't risk Sango's cover being blown if Morimoto would recognize her later as Kagome's friend...unless, of course, he did see her and we just don't know it yet. Guess we'll find out. Either way that worked out because then Kagome bought that necklace for Inuyasha, and I loved his reaction to the gift. I guess that answers the question of what you give the guy that has everything, with the answer being nothing, if no one has ever given him anything before. How messed up is that? But it made her gift all the more special, and yay! Was that a mark of intent there at the end? *Does happy dance* I think it was I think it was, and even though Kagome had asked him to always run that sort of thing by her first from now on I don't think she'll be too upset.
