I've been intrigued by this thread about comparing Terri Botta's work and your own, as I am a fan of both. I don't really see so much similarity in the writing style, though there is some I suppose. The thing I admire most about both Terri Botta's and your writing is the excellent characterization abilities. The casts of characters, though different, are complex, often uncomfortable inside their own skins to some degree, and are able to do surprising things without seeming OOC. Please continue with Toga, though he seems a little too good to be true sometimes. I keep wishing for a little more flawed personality than just accidentally hitting a dog and running away from home. *grin* Don't get me wrong--he needs to end up with Sierra (or somebody wonderful), but I think Toga has the capability to make mistakes just as well as InuYasha or Sesshoumaru. (Even though Toga hasn't had as much practice at it)

WOW~!! i really really really injoy this fanfic lol..... Toga seems really hot!! Espically because he is sesshomaru son lol... and its funny because i oculd most definitly see sesshomaru getting mad at toga for liking a human. And i love kagome and inuyasha's twins lol....they are great! Ya, is sierra (spelling) going to have special powers like toga *wink* lol? even if she doesnt shes still cool! I know you already get this alot but you have a wonderful story and I would love to read more. Toga seems like the perfect cross between Sexxy and InuHot-ya (lol). I was just wondering if Sierra was going to show her "roots", since they seem to be kind "questionable". Either way this story just goes to show the caliber at which you write! Arigato for being you.

What a way to have a romantic moment ruined - Youkai goon squad. "this Toga..." good grief - he talks just like dad! I think Sierra will not understand yet - an illusion caused by a late night and to much champagne. Certainly it will get back to dad that a girl was there with him. I just adore Toga, his shy ways, and it sounds like Sierra is rather on the shy side too -I have my suspicions about her, I think I know what you're planning - but you never fail to surprise me. So - Sierra going to go to the wedding???

I. Love. Toga. That being said--is Toga going to bring Sierra to his sister's wedding? Or is he going to "spare her", and not let his father meet her just yet? It doesn't seem like Sesshoumaru could make Sierra go away like he did Lily. Rrrrr... Sesshoumaru is being such a hypocrite! I also really like your OTHER original character, Sierra. I hope Toga can tell her soon--she seems like the kind of person who would be really upset to have something like that kept from them for a long time. Looking forward to the next chapter~Renata

I do love our dear Toga, and of course his lovely creator, the talented ms Sueric. Now I can't see Toga finding a way to get Sierra to Japan without outrage... but I can't see him leaving her here without doubts arising on her part. And you do love to instill doubt. Anyway, I'm so glad that he finally got to show his true face! Those markings are so adorable. Now, I haven't read The Lucky Ones, but comparing work is not a very good idea because nobody likes to hear it be implied that they stole their style of writing from somebody, even if that was not what the person was intending to say. How much has Rin aged? I can't really remember from Purity. Is she going to show up along with Shippou? I suppose she's going to the wedding. Who is she marrying by the way?

I'm lovin' it! I knew I would. Toga; absolutely...charming. I don't care if that's cliche because he is. Growing up sheltered, strong of will and loved, how could he not be? I think that Sierra is just too sweet and perfect for him. Can't wait for the next chapter!

...but it's kind of rude to CONTINUALLY compare Sueric's work to Terri Botta's The Lucky Ones. I'm not taking sides here, I've read almost everyting that Sueric has written as well as The Lucky Ones and what is up so far of it's sequel The Coyote Child. Both women are excellent authors and deserve all the accolades they've recieved. But by comparing you could really offend, rather than compliment. What if they've read each others work and aren't particularly fond of it? Then the comparison is an insult and the continuous comparisons are like rubbing salt in an open wound. I don't know if the same thing happens in Terri Botta's reviews, I've not read them. I read TLO on another site without reviews. But I think you would all compliment the authors more if you praised their work for being theirs and not compare it to another piece. That said-- Couldn't Sesshoumaru smell Sierra or weren't they in Toga's apartment? And Sueric, does this mean Sierra is going to get a trip to Japan soon? I somehow doubt Toga will be able to leave her behind, especially since Mommy knows...and the twins...well, everyone has to meet her, right?
