Wow, the was very vivid, but really enjoyed it. I love Sesshomaru and Kagome's playful banter, it puts a stupid grin on my face every time. Thanks for the story

All I can say is "Whoa!" That was powerful. Incredible imagery, almost too much to bear. Thank somebody this isn't visually enhanced ala "Braveheart"--I'd be joining Kagome on the edge of the battlefield. It almost sounds like you speak from experience. Fantastic chapter!

Wow--another kick-ass chapter, Resmiranda. And what powerful contrasts--the gentle, flirtatious cameraderie between Kagome and Sesshoumaru at the beginning of the chapter, and the gut-turning aftermath of the battlefield. Whew! Just one small, nitpicky word usage correction in an otherwise flawless chapter (and it's an error I see a lot, even in published books)...you "rein" something in (as in pulling on a horse's reins to control it), not "reign" it in. Dang homophones!

Wow-- that was some of the most powerful rhetoric that I have ever read. So vivid and clear-- it was gross and appaling, but beautiful and left one breathless at the same time. This story just keeps getting better and better. I am kind of at a loss for words right now because I am still so amazed what what I just read that I don't know what else to say. Great job. This chapter was simply fabulous. Keep up the great job! Your writing is beautiful and it commands awe and respect for such a talent. Can't wait for the next chapter! --Aitu

You simply amaze me! I mean you could have gone the simple route and ended the story after their first journy, but you didn't, you brought whole new levels to the story and characters and I love it! I love that their feelings are complex, as they should be, and not rushed. This story is definitely one of my favorites. You write so well, please continue.

It's amazing how the chapters you really have to struggle with sometimes turn out to be some of the best things you've written, eh? Great job, as always--I love how you continue to mix witty dialogue, both internal and exernal, with some really serious jeopardies. And I admire you for threatening Sesshoumaru in a believable way--through politics and intrigue. Just one small niggle--as much as adore Sesshoumaru's internal dialogue, he does tend to slip into anachronistic turns of phrases. For example, near the beginning of this chapter, he makes reference to "learning disability," which is very much a late twentieth-century concept, and not something an Edo-period youkai nobleman would be familiar with. None of which detract from the wonderfulness of this chapter, Resmiranda. It's just my nit-picky editor's soul coming the fore...

Another excellent chapter. I caught the story from Technoelfie's bit of art from this chapter, and I have to say that I don't think I've ever laughed so hard late at night while reading. Great writing! The banter you've concocted between Kagome and Sesshoumaru is priceless.
