Comment/Review: i just picked up this story today and enjoyed it very much. you portrayed the characters brilliantly. i especially liked how u made kagome stubborn in her decisions but also, not too stubborn. all of her reactions and fears had a just cause, instead of just making her freak out for something stupid. And about your paragraph at the end, i know what your saying, believe me, i see it all the time. i am a Christain and i can safely say that, yes, the majority of them are like that (hypocrits) but that is because those are the ones that have their faces stuffed so far in the Bible that they can't even hear the world around them, let alone see it. but it doesn't matter what people believe in, just stay possitive and everthing should work out! :)

Title: About the whole religion thing... Reviewed By: Angelica_Pierce [MediaMiner Member] On: December 22, 2005 11:10 EST Comment/Review: I completely respect your difficulties with the church, however I have to say that an author's note at the end of a fic (that otherwise has nothing to do with religion) probably isn't the best forum to express them. I am a Christian and I can sincerely say that I was not offended by your use of the minister. There are hypocritical and hateful people in every walk of life, and I could easily see a minister who is self-righteous and arrogant taking a dim view of this particular union. I was, however, put off by the note; particularly the last bit about having 'evidence that could make any Christian doubt their faith'. I certainly don't doubt that you've had a craptastic experience or think that your thoughts are unjustified. What I'm trying to say is that I freely support your rights to express your views but am simply suggesting that you do it somewhere that isn't an Inuyasha fanfic not pertaining to religion. I hope that makes sense; I'm not trying to attack you or saying you don't have every reason to feel the way you do. I'm sorry that you've come across assholes in the Christian faith. Yes, they are there and I'm not terribly fond of them myself. ^_~ But I would point out that Christianity hardly has the market cornered… So while I'm not 'horribly offended', I must say I was surprised to find them where they were.

I luv it when they do that lol. And he still has his ears!! Another yay. Ooh, best thing: you don't mention Kikyo as much as the other stories, which is a relief for me, since that's what most of the other authors keep on prattling about, so yuck for them and yay for you. I'd write more but it's about 7 in the morning and I haven't officially slept in more than a day. Good luck with the bastard, hope he changes...at least a little, and I hope you will continue this story, it's just too cute otherwise lol. Good-bye and good-night!! (or in my case morning)

Title: Review, Religion, and Bastards Reviewed By: sutlesarcasm [MediaMiner Member] On: September 22, 2005 16:02 EDT Comment/Review: Religion and Bastards, amazing how often those two words come up in conversation together. First, the review. Good job, great story. I read both "I Dare You" and "Cracking My Heart". Sometimes you start off at the same place then run your own race. There are that many story lines out there unless you get totally out of character and into left field. Next, the bastard. It's too bad you can't sit him. Might do him some good to get his face planted in the ground eating dirt for awhile. Have him meet you in the park and trip him. Maybe it will teach him to think about shit before he does it. You have to remember that for as smart as men can be, there's nothing dumber on the planet. They haven't a clue, so try and work around the handicap. Last, Religion. There have been more wars fought in the name of god than for any other reason. That's religion, not faith. Faith teaches tolerence, religion teaches intolerence. If you meet someone who lives and breathes their religion, you must watch them carefully like you would someone who's VERY developmentally disabled. There's something wrong with their brain. They have lost the ability to question, and the ability to grow. Actually, Kikyo and Kagome are good examples. Kagome is Faith, and Kikyo is Religion, I don't think I could have said it any better. Don't stop writing, and I won't stop reading. Deal?
