"Schuldig, because he is a sadistic little prick, found this kid's record from the `80s about these four moralizing little elf-bastards called Lolliwinks, one of whose name happened to be Farfi Fiddlefast, because as everyone knows God hates me. So when I was being restraint-punished by Crawford for some mild infraction like slaughtering too many people in messy and disgusting ways, Schuldig would put this record on and play it over and over and over until Crawford couldn't stand the singing anymore." I think that was my favorite part of the fic yet. I should say something constructive, but i'm too anxious to get to the next chapter....

Arrrgh it's so hard to stop reading ;____; So very very interested in this version of Farf. Cannot wait to finish catching up. I'm working really late tomorrow, I hope hope hope I have the time and energy to finish up and do the betaing after work (if not, I promise to do so Thursday.) Much love - Ratso (you know that nickname is already taken here? I tried to leave a review not logged in, and they wouldn't let me sign it Ratso T___T)

I'm also intrigued by the Aya-working-for-Farfarello plot-line. Your Farfarello is very, very interesting. I wonder how he'll get along with Ran after they spent some time together (and I'd also like to know if Ran will be ever allowed to work inthe kitchen - the way you showed him with his cooking and the desire to prove himself was just so touching).

Still drooling over the food. I've always wanted to eat Turducken. And fried turkey. Anyway, was laughing out loud at Yohji: "What the hell is this brown sludge? It's fantastic!" Worried for Yohji, but confident that it will all work out.

Reviewed By: Blythe [MediaMiner Member] On: February 28, 2006 21:39 CST Comment/Review: The story is progressing nicely and this chapter moved things along to set up the next phase in the plot extremely well. It's hard for me to understand the actions and reactions of the characters. I don't have an accurate perception of how relationships work or what it means to truly love someone, so I get confused. I find myself ready to rise up in righteous indignation on Yohji's behalf...then he just moves on. Your story reflects, what I perceive as, the dynamics of a realistic relationship; dramatic without melodrama. The characters are well fleshed-out behave believably. It's truly quite impressive. From a fangirl perspective, if often makes me alternately sad, angry, and tense. From a writer perspective, it makes me grateful to be able to read it. Keep it up!

It's just that not everyone reviews each time they read a chapter of a fic. Anyway, this chapter was delightfully silly. I loved it. And I grow continuously torn... I'd love to see a threesome (since that's my ot3 in WK), but you really are starting to convince me with this that it would actually be hot to see Farf with Aya. I... I don't really know what to say about that. I mean... Yeah. That should be a good sign right there that you're doing something right, if you can convince me that they would make a hot couple. o_o

Comment/Review: I laughed out loud several times, and I enjoyed everything outside of my prejudices. You really do have a knack for description, and I LOVE your Farf/Schu interactions. Didn't seem long at all, so that should tell you how I enjoyed it. (will be snickering days at Aya walking into a door) Sorry I didn't get to this sooner, but I did want to give it my full attention.

As always, both the last chapter and this one were terrific. I was slow to connect the title to the job Farfarello would offer, but love the mix of metaphor and literal meaning. Finding out what Farfarello really wanted from Aya was like a strong blow to the solar plexus. Knowing how committed Aya was after Shion and Weiss Team Two (not to mention his emotion on the issue in Side B) to dieing before simply becoming a murderer (and threatening to kill any of his teammates who cross the line), having the very depressed Aya accept the deal was painful. All the more so given that he would be doing so on behalf of a criminal mob -- meaning victims soon enough would be innocents or relatively so (not all could be simply rivals or those to be punished for going too far). The humor and warmth of the next chapter (with just the right touches of angst and seriousness) was perfect. I hope to an eventually troika of Aya, Yohji and Schuldig -- particularly with Farfarello taking on the role of sensei to an Aya desparately looking to latch on to a new role and mission -- but things are nicely set up for an Aya and Farf pairing as well. I can hardly wait to see how Aya does on "the line" -- and with the first job of the other sort passed on to him by Farf -- not to mention Yohji's and Schuldig's reaction should they find out. Thank you for this wonderful story.

Title: ...mmmm.... The whole idea of Aya becoming a chef is plainly great and incredibly origional. And with Farf being a head chef with the long hair is something else that i've never read before. You portray Farfarello great! I've read some fics where they make him a total idiot but you capture his personality in one of the best frames I've come by to see yet! The schuldig/yohji parts are all incredibly wonderful and your sex scenes (to me) have gotten better every chapter! I can't wait to see what is going to happen next in 'The Sous-Chef'. PS- ARe Aya and Farfarello going to get together? Or is it going to me a meneage a trois with Schu and Yotan?
