Damn...just, damn. I...wow. **blows out a breath** That famous Evan temper mixed with hurt, guilt and incredulty is...intense! And poor V, just lost for words--whoo, my stomach about slammed to my feet when she almost said Diet's name! And I loved how Bas was being so patient with Evan...just warms the heart. But, seriously, This chapter was a bittersweet one and I love the emotional growth between Evan and V. Especially this part: "Thought you said you were my friend, too," he murmured. Valerie managed a weak little smile. "I am," she agreed, leaning forward, clasping his knee and giving a gentle squeeze. PLUS, Sue, I'm SO glad that, from what I've read, Miss looks to survive the mate seperation byway of never being marked--at least, I HOPE so! Please, oh please, oh pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase, Sue! I ADORE Daniel and would be HEARTBROKEN to see him lose BOTH parents!

I just can't describe the sens of feeling this chapter evkes. IT's so profound and yet so very sad too. Amazing.

blah! V's gotta give Marvin the boot. I agree that its a good thing Diet didn't mark Miss, though she would probably still get sick and really weak, but I think she would fight for Daniel. Cain stayed around after his mate died (and he marked Isabelle didn't he?) for Belle, because he didn't want her to be alone. and he later found Gin 8D

Heh... number 667, I was one off! I'm glad that Dieter never got around to marking Miss, I was worried about that. Evan and Valerie, they've practically professed their love to each other, yet not. I wonder how it'll be when she finally has to break up with Marvin. Maybe that might put a spark in his britches and a flame in his eye to be more passionate in things that aren't work related. I love this story!!I feel so sorry for evan!!I hope the story gets better.I had a question well i read all mostly all of your stories this is the last one i have left I was wondering do you know anyone who writes just as good as you in your opinion.I LOVE ALL OF YOUR STORIES!!!!!! Daniel...oh, that part just got to me right here in the heart. The whole chapter I kept thinking "Poor Evan..." But I can't help but think that maybe, just maybe, Diet's death was a way of making Evan grow up and see that he's not immortal by any means. Though Diet being gone is incredibly painful and awful, in the end, something good has got to come out of it. Still, even though this chapter had me nearly bawling in the worst way, I adored the end. AHHHHH! So...much...LOVE!

great chapter! Poor Evan... I really wonder how Miss will be... I really loved this bit too Evan nodded as though he could understand that. "For Maddy?" he challenged. Valerie let out a deep breath and a husky chuckle. "For Maddy . . . I'd give up everything I own . . . I'd give up . . . my kidneys or my . . . my liver . . . or my shoes . . ." He smiled wanly at the hint of teasing in her tone. "And for me?" he asked quietly. Valerie was caught off-guard by his question, even though she probably shouldn't have been. She opened her mouth to answer, but paused, a distinct shiver rushing up and down her spine as the memory of those hours when she didn't know whether he was alive or dead ran through her mind. "I'd . . . I'd give up my sanity for you, Evan," she replied in a whisper.
