Oh that was a good chapter! I hope that tribute helped Evan say goodbye! That's really sad at the end though with Valerie...I wonder if she'll dig in deeper about that anytime soon!

And, dang I miss Dieter. **flicks a Bic and waves a flame while chanting "Hey, fucker"** Oh my...is V gonna get plastered? And, yes, I'm so glad to see Maddie's still on the scene. Her personality is just right at a time like this in Evan's life--just enough compassion, just enough deviant-ness, just enough hari products (I kid...)--Maddie's, well, Maddie and it's always groovy to see her checking out V and Evan. And, big DUH moment here but...Evan's not a major Cain fan, huh?

I think this will be good for all of them. A way for the three to bond deeper, a way to express their grief and celebrate the life of the one they knew and loved, and a way for V to get to know Evan just a little bit better than before. My prediction - with Evan and V's first kiss, first real kiss, she'll realize just what Evan is to her, and just what MArvin can never measure up to.

An illegal annual ritual? Hmmmmmmmm...I can't even imagine, and considering my 'predictions' on the last few chappies, I wouldn't even dare venture a guess. I have been putting off my Dad's final wishes for 2 years because I can't say bye, and the ritual he wants is a truely final bye. Sucks, but I know it has to be done & it will ease the depression. It's just the first step that's the worse, or will be. Looking forward to the next chappie!

Aw... Evan seems to be getting better little by little. And I know Valerie's a definite factor as to why. I hope Miss is ok. I know I say that every review but I do hope so. It's not easy to lose someone. When I read these chapters I have to listen to "How to save a life" by The Fray...it seems to fit the mood. I can't wait to see what this little ritual of theirs is! I bet with those two it's SUPER fun! Keep up the good work~ ~~ MSMND
