I LOVED it. I was pleasantly surprised to see a new update, and the confrontation between Yohji and Aya was splendid.
I loved how Yohji regretted calling Aya a monster as soon as the words left his lips. That happens so often in real life. Aya's emotions were so poignantly written, I really did cry reading that entire scene.
Nagi's using his powers to throw Schu around a bit was great. Crawford really does want to throttle his son, doesn't he?
Can't wait to see Yohji confront Schu and Cass.
It was nice to see Koyu show a bit more of his playful side as well.
As always, a well written story with powerfully descriptive emotions and an intriguing plot. The more the story advances, the more I want to see what happens next!

Eeek, I'm so behind on reviewing. Thank you for putting "Machinations" out so quickly and also for having pity on your adoring fans by posting the first half of "Answers." Hmmm... where should I begin my praise?
I love the long chapters. It makes the wait worthwhile. I also love the way the characters are fleshed out and presented. And I absolutely love that everything is proof-read. *falls down and worships one of the few writers whose writing doesn't make her want to scratch out her eyes*
Along plot lines: Since I'm assuming that something will go wrong with the palace wards on the big day, I have to assume that Botan didn't check up on the work done by his students. Yet, with the royal family's protection being important, I wonder why he didn't check their work. Or is the palace so big that it's easy to miss one little section? Or, is it impossible to tell if bound blood was used in construction of the wards? Hmmm... just wondering. |

I LOVE this fiction...
Poor Ran... tell me that Takatori Reiji and his sons will die of a very unpleasant death...
compliments for the bounds idea... especially for the whole kage thing: a creature that is almost death incarnate and is also so craving for love so much... so beautiful...

*mouth drops, speechless with worry* oh... Damn Shuldig!! i really don't like him right now--ASSHOLE! *pouts* poor Ran... he's never going to get to be happy... i feel so bad for him. he just can't escape any pain.
this chapter was very emotional--i don't know why, i hope you give Ran some happiness soon.

Oh, I just LOVE the rapidly blossoming relationship between Aya and Yohji, and the twisting threads of fate that bind all of them together!
Nagi's protective nature is adorable in its ferocity. The way that Cass and Crawford BOTH look at Schu is funny as hell.
Throw in the other obstacles like Kikyou's reappearance and all the chains holding Aya as the Takatori's captive and I am going to be chomping at the bit for the next update! Thanks for letting us know it would be a while, and I'll look forward to whatever the other fic is, I'm sure. |

Wow. I love the cliffhanger ending (probably in the minority, but those endings are really great. I'm a sucker for suspense, I guess).
Once again, the description of Aya's true nature is wonderfully written.
Ah, Schu. Jealousy does not become you. His revulsion at invading Ran's mind was again well portrayed, and very interesting that Ran knew exactly how Schu felt about him.
I also liked the conversation between Ken and Yohji.
But the last line...wow. That was classic. Kind of interesting when you think how Yohji was concerned what Aya would think if he were a bound...and how it wouldn't matter what Aya was to him...and now look at him!
Aya's character is just fascinating. The more I find out about the kage (as a being as well as Aya personally) - the more enthralling I find them!
Excellent story, original plot, incredibly gripping character interactions...what more could I want? |

wahoo another wonderful chapter. and of course, you make this one a cliff hanger *sigh* so mean you are... i guess we can assume yohji now knows or at least has a clue what aya is. tho i'm surprised he said something like "what are you?" when earlier it sounded like he was willing to accept anything and everything that could be thrown at him about aya. even if you make the next chapter shorter i'd like to see the next scene with aya and yohji soon...
the scene you did with ken was strange, i hope you'll go a little more into that past. you almost make it sound like yohji and ken were lovers(however brief) at some point judging by how ken was treating him... and though i know this story is mainly about yohji and aya, i hope you'll give some 'screen time' to nagi and omi soon, they're my favorite pairing, under aya and yohji. so i'm just being an indulgent little fangirl at the moment ^^;;
this was great, even if this chapter seems to end like you cut it off in the middle even moreso than the end of part 1 of Machinations. Great job, and i look forward to more updates.

Honey, that ending was evil. All cliffhanger-y n' stuff. grr Yohji and Aya will work it out, but still, EVIL!!! I liked Cassandra stamping her foot at Crawford, but where is your other OC, Teddy? He was mentioned once in the cinnamin bun incident, but we really only "heard" from Koyu in this chappie when he was singing towards the end. Anyways, you know I can't wait to read more. =^_^= |
