Yay! I was just thinking about how I wanted this fic to be updated, and then I checked my email and there it was! ^-^ I'm very much looking forward to Inuyasha's story in the future chapters. I'd love to see your new fic idea (as long as you don't give up on this one entirely in order to write it, because I'd die), so go for it!

I'm glad I found this fic! I'm really enjoying reading it, and it's one of the most creative and original fics I've seen. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

I don't know why, but when Miroku was telling his story about his sick mother I kept picturing that episode of the Simpsons where Homer was trying to get back a nasty letter he sent Mr. Burns ("Hello, my name is Mr. Burns. I believe you have a letter for me." "Okay, Mr. Burns, uh, what's your first name?" "...I don't know."). I can't believe Kagome fell for it, I hope she never gets an Autistic patient (Autistic people can be very good liars). I wonder if anybody will be able to convince her that the word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary. But I'm glad someone finally noticed that some of the staff aren't competant. I felt like I was taking crazy pills for a while. So, when Miroku "almost" broke his leg, was he leaning against the door to eavesdrop on Inuyasha's session with Dr. Dumpington (maybe to find out a certain qua... er, intern's feelings for him. He seems smart enough to figure that a doctor would tell their patient something like that)? Because if so, that's a pretty big ethics violation right there, it could get him fired. And if not, he should know better than to lean on a door that's about to be opened. Either way, he probably shouldn't be responsible for the well being of a pet rock, much less a mental patient. Wow, Inuyasha sure sleeps a lot in this story. Does he have mono or is he just really bored (I imagine it's boredom)? So... four days of cold food for Inuyasha. It might be worth the effort to smuggle in a microwave. One question though, during Kagome's conversation with Miroku, she mentions that if she keeps taking care of him that Inuyasha will get into even more trouble with Kaede. Why would he get in trouble? It's not like he has any control over what goes on in his life, or who takes care of him while he's there. Is Kagome being overly paranoid, trying to get Miroku to stop palming Inuyasha off on her, or is Kaede the type who always sides with staff over patients? I've met doctors like that, who believe if there's a violation that the patient must be at fault, irregardless of what logic says. I could see any of these choices being in character, even on the show Kaede seems like the type who'd think that... She's very smug, but hides it well. Even in this fanfic she's a little like that, I'm thinking of the "respect me, I'm old", and "made up saying about fools and the foolish" parts here. I mean really, "never get fooled by the foolish" doesn't even show up in Google.

YES! Inuyasha finally sticks it to the man... or a man... someone mannish. It's no punch to the throat, but a poke to the eye is good. Miroku was quite the hypochondriac in this chapter wasn't he? Someone should try to convince him that he's seriously ill, or rabid. And dumping water in Inuyasha's ears, is he trying to give him an ear infection? Seriously, he needs to be fired, or whatever they do to get rid of volunteers. Hee hee. Kagome came to take him to see Miss Sango. Makes it sound like he's going to see a prostitute, or a psychic. And what kind of a shitty game was that? I mean, games are supposed to be fun right? They usually have a payoff. This wasn't a game at all! "My brother loves to learn about youkai exterminating. . . actually, my whole family does." Why would she tell her part demon patient something like this? Is she high, does she have horrible bedside manner, or is she just really bad at her job? It's Dr. Saddy Dumpington "My family likes to learn how to kill you and your kind. Isn't that great?" Is Miroku trying to pass his duty onto Kagome? Maybe trade patients? Is he scared of Inuyasha now? Because if you think about it, it's his fault for not letting sleeping doggish people lie. So Inuyasha and his entire family are famous (actually I think that was mentioned already, I just decided to notice it now). So, did he just get tired of living up to them? Give up on doing whatever it was he used to do? Is that why they think he's depressed/crazy? If I keep guessing I'm bound to get it right eventually. But, (and I hate to keep harping on this) you'd think if they're famous (and I'm assuming rich) that they'd find a better place to stick him. I mean if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck. That's right, jokes about Hannibal Lector and ducks... wave of the future. If you're in a mental ward anyway. Doctors seem to hate that kind of thing. Take quacking personally...

Poor, poor Inuyasha. He'll never have a peaceful meal again with Kagome "stop that, it's not nice" Higurashi around. She really needs to come up with a better argument than "it's not nice," because eventually Inuyasha's going to be like, "you know what else isn't nice? NOT LETTING THE MENTAL PATIENT EAT!" I have a theory about why he's there. The clues are all in this chapter... The absent parents, the lobotomized hospital staff, and his desire not to fall asleep- obviously Freddy Krueger's after him.;-) That or the clingy ex-girlfriend, (let's call her Kikyo) after he wouldn't talk to her anymore, did something drastic and he feels guilty because of it. (Maybe she killed herself and blamed Inuyasha in the suicide note... Or maybe she got jealous and attacked one of his friends with battery acid... Perhaps she delved into self mutilation and carved Inu + Kikyo = Love into her forehead.) I'm probably not even close with those guesses, but it's fun to speculate. It wouldn't surprise me if the dreams were just red herrings and Inuyasha's there for a completly mundane reason. Are they going to have any Hannibal Lector/Clarice Starling-esqe conversations anytime soon? Even if it's just a reference to the fava beans-Chianti line? I'm pretty sure that if I was in the mental ward, being bothered by a prying orderly who wouldn't give me my damn food, I'd try to slip in some Hannibal Lector jokes. Especially if I was cooped up in my room. I like to make my own fun.

Eh. . . this story seems to be going somewhere. I've got to say, this story sure does leave you scratching your head at times - in a good way - it's sorta fun to try and figure things out, and at the same time, it's frustrating. Post more soon.

yay!!! new chapter:). well glad to see him and kagome broke the ice. And I noticed that you said kouga and inu ended up there at the same time so does that mean that their there for the same reason?? I can imagine that Inu's being there has something to do with kikyo right?? Duh! that b!tch and drive anyone crazy lol. Also I like the twist you added that instead of Naraku being an enemy he is a companion. Is this going to be through out the story are should we expect that He will go to his natural evil self?? Well I do agree with you that being in a place like that your gonna have to find ways to entertain your self and that's why I'm loving when inu goes to art class lol. well good luck writing.
