Ah, yes, I have mentioned before how I love the Heero POV chapters.
The introspection in this installment is even better, now that he knows their marriage is a farce. The way he wondered WHY things weren't different, and how he has analyzed his feelings NOW versus how they might have been BEFORE was heartwarming, and a little sad. Something about Heero feeling adrift like this, and trying to reconcile his current situation with who he "was" just gets to me! :)
I like the way you've been showing flashes of memory, and how he has connected his dreams to reality a bit. I'm not an expert on amnesia, but I know it's common for people to remember bits and pieces here and there. Perhaps his dream was the catalyst for his remembering what he has so far.
Hmmm, wonder what else Duo wants to say to him in the shower next. |

OOPS! I made a typo on the last review - that was a review of chapter NINE, not eight. Ah, well.
Heero's sudden reaction to his newfound flash of memory was quite fitting.
I guess Duo really had no choice but to 'fess up. It was sweet the way Heero hesitantly asked Duo if he merely "cared" for him. I wonder what is going through his mind now.
The upcoming party should be VERY interesting. |

Oh, I LOVE the Heero POV chapters. He is so lost in them, it's interesting to see how HE views things.
You did a nice job of having Heero take matters into his own hands, and poor Duo, struggling with the temptation. His choice of words, though, wow. Of course, with Heero/Odin's fears, I think almost anything Duo said would have been taken as rejection.
The ending of the chapter was perfect, with Heero's sudden memory of certain maneuvers. A nice cliffhanger ending. |

That last chapter was quite good and I want to see more. This story has got me hook line and sinker and I want to know what is going to happen now that Duo has told Heero/Odin what is really going on. When Heero gets his memory back what is he going to do about his relationship with Duo?
Poor thing doesn't really know what he is doing. I feel sorry for him and I hope that he gets his memory back really soon. And when is Wuffers going to come and save him? They need to get out of there before they are even more suspicious. Please write again really really really soon I can't wait to see the next chapter.

Duo's struggle with his feelings for the "real" Heero, and this "new" Heero, permeates all the chapters with his POV.
I thought the parallel he drew between his current situation and Catherine's (with Trowa) was nicely worked in. |

Yeah, Duo has to be right. By now, they must be on to who he and Heero really are.
I love the Heero POV chapters, as his confusion is simply adorable and innocent. The flash of memory - of how Duo was dressed in the past - was actually rather poignant. |

This is highly enjoyable! The amnesia twist is one of the oldest romance twists around... but you're giving it a fresh new take by having Duo struggle so against his own inclinations. Heero's drastic 'change' is a nice way to illustrate that he is human underneath after all. OOC is a given with amnesia, perhaps. But I really, really enjoy a smart!Duo like this one instead of just smartass!Duo. Great work. I'm very much enjoying this fic and will eagerly watch for more parts. Please continue! |

Poor Heero! Doesn't remember a thing and think that him and Duo are married!! *sigh* Mass confusion! Usually that amuses me...I'm being sympathetic O__o;;;;

Hmmm...an interesting predicament. I really like Duo's moral struggles with how to respond - or NOT respond - to Heero's affections.
What will be interesting is when Heero does regain his memory, and what he'll think of the journal he wrote while suffering from amnesia.
The party should be interesting as well. |
