I was extremely pleased when I spotted the alert in my email that you've updated this story. Congrats on the win! You definitely deserve it. (: I enjoyed this chapter, Inuyasha and Kagome are just too adorable. I love those two together. Although, the foreshadowing... (cough) it seems something terrible is going to happen soon. I've been bursting to write this, so I'll just do it... Edo was a very small city in Sengoku Jidai. It didn't even become very significant until 1600, when the Edo era began. The centers of commerce were Osaka and Kyoto (when it wasn't being burned to the ground). There were strict laws on which classes could wear what. No merchant would have ever sold Inuyasha a jade or ivory comb. Both were ridiculously expensive--things that Inuyasha could have never afforded even with his demon slaying wages. Geta are wooded clogs and are extremely difficult to traipse the countryside in. Miroku, Sango, and Kikyo all wear zori sandals. The large and intricate obi that women wore (like geisha) did not come about till the 19th century (incase you are wondering, the first geishas, male entertainers, came about in the 17th century). Obi in the Sengoku Jidai were very thin. Once again, no village woman would every have something so fine unless it was stolen off of the corpse of a dead noble woman.

You have a good idea going here. However, the biggest problem that you have is one of my biggest pet peeves. Your atrocious fangirl-ese. Nearly all of the romanji/japanese words you use are incorrectly used. I understand that you probably do not know any japanese, which makes me wonder why you even incorporate it in the first place, but you are repeatedly making major faux pas. My advise is to go back and correct them. And DO NOT trust the japanese/english translator--literal translation does not equate to actual meaning.
