the ex went to detox for a week and rehab for a month-- he was drinking within a couple days after he got out. i still get the shivers whenever i watch my friends drink. ♣ i like how you're doing this - quite realistically portrayed. ♥

Great story. I just started reading it a couple of days ago, and I love it so far. This AU is so....plausible. And your characterization is really good, particularly for Inuyasha. I look forward to reading more soon.

aww that was a cute interaction. Although now I'm wondering if one of those mistakes Kagome was thinking about might be a trigger for better behavior on Inuyasha's part...hmm I guess I'll just have to read the next chapter! Keep up the awesome work! ^_^

in the real world that sort of cure doesn't work that well. but this is a magical story-- so let the magic begin! ♣ enjoying this immensely. it is good that you made him clean up his mess in his apartment-- alanon (support group for friends and families of alcoholics) suggests 'tough love' making them suffer the consequences of their actions. ♥

I thoroughly enjoyed this particular chapter. It was much light-hearted than the previous one and that was a refreshing change in pace. As much as I like a good angsty story, sometimes, it's nice to just step back and get a little breathing room from all the drama and smile. One thing I have to comment (and the only reason I do is because I see it all the time, in almost every Inu Fiction) was the lack of comparison between Kikyou and Kagome. It was rather nice to not see it… don't get me wrong, I had expected it, something along the lines of InuYasha snarling at Kagome, and thinking she was Kikyou, bringing up old pain to the surface, and being so angry for 'her' betrayal. I know it is rather cliché but, it's what I was expecting and it was nice to not see it in this chapter. I am wondering though, if that would ever come to play or if you have other plans for this. In any case… I loved it. I also really enjoyed the Kagome/InuYasha interaction, it is totally something I was expecting, but it was wonderfully written. Also, I was really glad to read the 'Forgiven but Not Forgotten' sequence. It really found it touching from both sides. Yayness all around.

Lovely 4th chapter. It isn't often that a writer puts out something so detailed when it comes to a character being sick. I thought you description of InuYasha's state was really close to what someone in the same state would have been. A lot of writers tend to skip the nastier details in order to keep the image of the 'hero' intact, but in reading the passage, if didn't feel quite right. It almost seem fake... What you have done here is, again show that even though InuYasha is a demon, it doesn't mean that he's invincible. Good work :)
