I love how Kagome rushes back to him and how he was so lonely without her, and then so happy she came back. The way you described their emotions was really stellar. Keep up the awesome work! ^_^

That was a powerful chapter! I feel bad for Kagome. It must have been so hard for her to drag Inuyasha in front of that mirror and make him face his guilt and pain knowing how much that was going to hurt him but also knowing he couldn't move forward without it. I know she's hopeful that it will be the turning point for him but I can imagine how much it hurt her to do that and how worried she is that he'll understand why she did. Then there's Inu at Kikyo's grave...what an iconic image that evoked! I can see the image of him crouching in front of the headstone...clutching onto it like an anchor, head bowed...powerful. Great writing! Lastly, YEA! He's finally forgiven himself and can start to live (and love) again. Sooo looking forward to the next chapter!

Reviewed By: Snowfall [MediaMiner Member] On: May 20, 2009 02:03 EDT Comment/Review: This could be a very educational story for some, especially for those who unconsciously force themselves to suffer because of unwarranted guilt and because of others using guilt to get their way. This was a lesson that I had to learn. I had to learn that I was worthy of taking up space and breathing the air. You are doing a great job with this. I do find it uncomfortable when I read about the discussions going on between Kagome, Sango, and Miroku about Inuyasha. I can tell you, coming from Inuyasha's place as a patient and not as a medical professional, that he would most likely feel violated by Kagome getting his most personal information from other people. I know from personal experience. Unless Inuyasha is accustomed to the intrusion, to having his most personal secrets given to someone he barely knows, he should have reacted horribly in the beginning. I'm just mentioning it because you appear to see much from the medical professional end and I thought you might like to see that the patient might see it as a betrayal of trust. On the other side, though I was wondering why you were making Sango and Miroku appear to be harsh, you made it clear that you were showing us how it is that people can manipulate someone without realizing the harm they are doing. I loved how Kagome approached that and that it worked out well. She was right. If they couldn't stop helping Inuyasha dig himself deeper into depression, they needed to stay away from him. I love how you present the small things that we don't consider important as an outward sign of what is important. The state of ones living conditions and appearance can be a sign of their mental and emotional health. Showing the smaller details was an excellent idea. Oh, and though I've never had an addiction, aside from cigarettes, I think you've done an awesome job displaying addiction to alcohol without judging and condemning. You've done a great job with this and I appreciate your courage in writing about it. Maybe it will help someone. I've got your story on my favorites. I can't promise to review every chapter, but I appreciate your hard work and will be looking forward to every post. Snow

Inuyasha's misplaced guilt was smothering him...so I'm glad that he was able to get some sort of absolution from Kikyo. Maybe now he will finally be able to start truly healing.

It shows how strong Kagome is when she feels Inuyasha has been hurt. Definately not someone to mess with! :) Even tho she was upset with Miroku and Sango she saw how stressed they were and worked to help them as well as repair their relationship with Inuyasha a bit. I'm glad they decided to show Inuyasha that he's still important to them...not just a weapon (that was a nice touch, too). They never seem to realize that, while Inuyasha doesn't want to be the savior of the city again, he'd never let anything happen to his freinds and would fight to protect them. I wonder if Kagome realizes how close she seems to be getting to Inuyasha? I know she cares for and about him. I think that started out as caretaker/patient but their relationship has grown beyond that...I just wonder if she realizes it yet. :) I think Inuyasha realizes it more but, as usual, he shies away from it thinking he's not deserving of it while at the same time knowing how much he needs her. He's getting better tho...his ability to let loose and play and have fun at the park was a big step. Yea!

Rather than letting them off the hook, she made them think about their current and past behavior...genius!! The moments in the park were adorable as well. Miroku and Sango traveling the world...I love it!! I also loved how he tried to play it off like he wouldn't cherish every single second with her ANYWHERE ha ha. As for Inuyasha and Kagome, you make their chemistry effortless!! Thanks so much for a great new chapter. It left me sooo happy!!
