Solve the mysteries Kagome! hehehe. I'm glad they finally met, although Inuyasha is kind of out of it. I can't wait to read the next chapter though. Keep up the awesome work! ^_^

Lovely 4th chapter. It isn't often that a writer puts out something so detailed when it comes to a character being sick. I thought you description of InuYasha's state was really close to what someone in the same state would have been. A lot of writers tend to skip the nastier details in order to keep the image of the 'hero' intact, but in reading the passage, if didn't feel quite right. It almost seem fake... What you have done here is, again show that even though InuYasha is a demon, it doesn't mean that he's invincible. Good work :)

I am really enjoying your story. It's hard to find a real good story these days... especially one with so much angst. InuYasha's pain is so palpable and hard to digest. It almost makes you wish you could do something about it.

awww Poor Inuyasha. I'm still wondering how Kagome is going to come into the picture (I'm assuming) It's seems Inuyasha desperately needs a pick-me up. :)

Awww sh**, I got so worked up I forgot to even mention my questions! Okay, here goes. Why does it matter that the story is set in the 90's in New York? Usually if you are gonna put a date on it like that then you want to tie it in to some real life news event, like say 9/11 or maybe the millennium bug scare. And where are these Pirate stories you mentioned? And *lecherous smirk* is there any possibility that you might raise the rating? LOL, just kidding... sorta. Anyways, don't be discouraged by lack of reviews, many stories go a very long time without gaining a lot of notice and then get an explosion of reaction. Other stories, and these are usually the really bad ones (I know you know the type, you can't tell one character from another because they all have the same personality, and the author wouldn't know how to format to save their own lives) seem to get a million comments after one post. But have you ever noticed who comments on those stories? They are all no names. Usually not even someone who has a login account, and certainly not people who actually have written anything themselves. You already have the attention of doggieearlover, who in case you don't know is one of the most awarded authors out there. So don't worry about number of reviews. And you don't need to apologize about not having Miroku or Sango in a chapter, let the story flow naturally. Forcing it to have a certain quotient of face time for each character will only make you frustrated in the long run and can cause writers block, so if they aren't in it for a few chapters that's okay, they will come back in when it is their time to do so.

I'm enthralled. Before I even reached the end of the first chapter, I knew this story had to go on my favorites notify list. And then when I reached the end of chapter two, I had that annoying well now what feeling. So being the curious feline that I am, I looked to see what else you had posted. Nada. Even though you commented that this was your first non pirate story. So off to FF I went knowing that oh so many authors post there, and did a search. Low and behold, yes, there was one story posted there by you, but only one, and it was the one I had just read. I nearly turned away at that point thinking, ah well she probably posted under a different name. And then once again because I am a curious cat, I looked at Guilty Hero there on FF. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that there were fifteen chapters there. FIFTEEN! Feeling oh so deprived I immediately jumped in and started reading from where I had left off. Hours later and still feeling unsatisfied because now I absolutely MUST KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT, and wanting to bitch slap Miroku and Sango because how dare they call themselves his friends when they have made him a prisoner in his own home, and worse care about his sobriety not in how it effects him as a person but how it makes their job harder... and ooooh Iro so need to keep his mouth shut, how dare he stick those kind of ideas in Inu's head!! And yes I know I'm rambling, but hey you got me all fired up about this story so it's your own fault for being a fabulous story teller. Which I suppose brings me to my point, why are all those chapters on FF and yet you deprive us MM readers from this gloriousness? Okay, that was laying it on thick but seriously please post more on MM, I'm dieing to read it.

So far I'm enjoying this very much. Interesting back story with InuYasha as the reluctant hero in a world where he really did have to kill Kikyou with his own hands. I don't blame him for reacting the way he did when he realized they'd sent him to kill a human after he'd sworn to never again. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when they meet him and apologize - will it do any good at all or is he too angry (and/or drunk)? He had a lot of anger and demons of his own. It'll be interesting to see how everything plays out.
