This was a wonderful journey. I read this years back when still
incomplete and the tale haunted me in the gentle manner the scent
of summer does - recalling long forgotten memories. You allowed me
(through this tale) to recall a time lost, but perhaps to be
regained. I thank you. The tale was ponderous and full of troubled
yet worthwhile growth. It is fun, alarming, sad yet entertaining.

Wow, 13 years? Well I've been here every step of the way. I can't
remember if came across The Lucky Ones after it was already
finished or if you were still working on it, but I distinctly
remember when you first started posting this sequel. I was so
excited! And it didn't disappoint. It's been a fabulous adventure,
and I'm so glad that despite everything real life must have been
throwing at you, you saw it through to the end. :-)

after this dream, Yukio will be able to move on from such a hateful
mate. Miaka was not worthy of him.

I'm not going to lie this chapter was better written then the last
chapters of this fix, in that it sucked me in and made me hold on
until the end. Miaka's perspective was a good choice and I really
enjoyed learning about Yukio's mate. Now, do I hate Miaka's? Yes.
Do I understand what she did and why she did it? Yes. She said it
herself she mated with Yukio way too young when her head was filled
with the greatness and beauty of marrying a demon. She was young
and she made a mistake that very much could not be corrected
easily. I will never like her because of how she treated Yukio and
met his love with such hate. Should Yukio have taken her out of
Japan? I honestly couldn't tell you. Going behind her back was
wrong, dying with her (he would have never left her) would also be
wrong. I'm just happy/hoping that Yukio will attempt to move on.
The little stinker deserves happiness and someone would will love
him for who he is.

Yet again your story has brought me to tears, however this time
there's no way to get over it as you have not continued on. I hope
that you will return soon! Please don't leave for so long again I
really wanna see Yukio happy!

Your author's note just about said it all. "OMG! A new chapter."
LOL. I was soooooooooooooooo glad to see you update this! Took me
longer than I'd have liked to put aside the time to actually read
it, but it's been in my bookmarks. Damn, girl. You got me tearing
up over here. That was really, really well done, and really
touching, and not expected, but truly fabulous. I'm really
glad that happened because it sounds like something that
needed to happen, and maybe it really was that tea that did
it, not that it was all a hallucination because I 100% believe it
was real, but maybe the tea opened his spirit to allow it to
happen. I'm trying to watch what I say so as not to give any
spoilers to anyone who might read this before the chapter in
question, LOL. Anyway, good job, and I'm looking forward to the
next update. Hopefully it won't take you five years, ne? ;-)

Thank you for taking the reins of this story again! Please, please,
don't leave us stranded again, pleaseeee. ("Sorrowful Puppy Eyes.
Tm) Kudos for an excellent job separating Miaka's thoughts from
Yukio's assessment of her actions during the flashbacks. Never did
I miss the line of continuance. That being said I can see why Yukio
has been so reserved in pursuing another relationship. Miaka did
put him through hell. I'm sorry but this did nothing to ingratiate
her, in fact, I hate this fiction character even more. She had what
most of us spend a whole lifetime looking for: a faithful,
committed, devoted and loving partner, and she choose death. I'm
eagerly waiting for the next chapters when you're ready to upload
them. I'm very curious to see who's arriving in that helicopter (it
would be awesome if it was a certain yokai, but he can fly) and I'm
very very anxious to see what happens between Emma and Yukio.
