The Crow is evil incarnate. Kagome is broken. I hope Hiei and Kagome get to finally start climbing out of their pit now.

I wonder when you'll get back to the modern era, and continue that part of the plot? I'm also curious to see just how Hiei and Kagome will be re-united- and how she'll react to his past/future. I think she'd understand. And really, would she trust anyone but him? She's far too damaged emotionally for her to feel comfortable around her family, in my opinion, and she might wonder- Kouga found her. Didn't the others even try? It's not fair to them, but it almost has to cross her mind at some point. She's still retaining her purity/innocence, I think, but in no small part because I believe she is repressing parts of her personality- trying to leave as much of herself closed off to the damage as is possible.

Perhaps he may take a stand where others fail, if his attention is draw to the group- perhaps if they raid his lands- and while I doubt he cares much for Kagome's situation, his honor would compell him to eradicate those who struck out against him. Then there's the whole paradox issue-! Is Hiei existing in the future due to the prophecy, or is he there regardless? Does he remember things only hazily because of the time spent, and repression, or because time is being re-written? I'd also like to state that I'd really like to know how the 'blood red moon' comes to play- though it seems to be indicative of when they escaped, or when he slaughtered the brigands. Or something of that nature. Then I got on a tangent wondering if the bindings were restricting his youki, or his fire-abilities? Clearly he still maintains his demon qualities, so it can't be total suppression of his powers... and the crow doesn't know that Hiei is the forbidden child. Perhaps a moment of extreme stress might bring out his other side? Would ice magic be possible where fire magic is not? Clearly the bindings have been tailored to fit specific individuals, so I think it's a valid question... Then there's the shikon. If it has power enough to bury it's self in her side, perhaps it can draw on her repressed powers to recharge it's self? And would the crow really recognize Kagome's name...? That seems doubtful to me.

Or Hiei, finding she's so broken, may become enraged enough to do something about it. It seems to me that the dragon is going to need to take a stand sometime soon. Surely even the crow (I never remember how to spell their names!) will get exhausted at some point, and the others of the gang do need to go out at some point, if nothing else to obtain supplies and their monetary funds. If the crow were to exhaust himself in his sadism, and the others were gone but then I have to wonder why the dragon never attempted to obtain the key. I came to the conclusion he wants solid evidence that Hiei won't go after him before freeing either of them. He's not stupid, after all, and it wouldn't take a genius to realize Hiei's intentions towards them all. A random sidenote- if she's getting healed, would not the scars- or at least some of them- get healed? I don't see the crow wanting his prize completely scarred over- and surely he'll realize that the miko will be too damaged for childbearing- though he knows not of the spell- and have her healed for that very purpose, right? After all if she's driven completely insane, who would take care of the offspring? I somehow doubt he's overburdened with parental tendencies, and he might take that into account, ne? It seems to me he'd enjoy hurting Kagome all the more for revenge on Hiei, as he realizes Hiei's emotions are fixed upon her. A reason for Hiei's survival, perhaps?
| Title: where to start? Reviewed By: [Shabopo] On: August 25, 2005 23:14 EDT Comment/Review: First off, let me tell you how grateful I am for the edits you sent me. It means a lot to me, and I know it takes time away from your life to do so. Heh, I think I'll start with the whole prophecy gig. I have to wonder- if the prophecy has been shattered, so to speak, would it not simply re-write itself differently? Clearly the fates intend something for the two, and I don't see how the crow could alter so much via stupidity and malice. I don't know, but it did sort of irk me, in that it gave far more power to him than I thought he held. Earlier it was mentioned the the restraints binding both of their powers could be overcome. I would think the trauma of Kouga's death might be a catalyst in that reaction. I also wondered, when they get out- how will Ayame act? If those two were to meet, and for her to learn that her mate is dead trying to rescue a different, once-courted woman, who chose someone else's life over his-! That would not go over well, I don't think. Though perhaps if they encountered each other in the future things could be different. Heavens knows nothing restrains Kouga's impetuousness. Not even learning that the creator of the shards was trying to control them- something that would kill him- he still went on wearing the two, after all. Perhaps Ayame would accept that- or perhaps she won't be involved any more with the story. *shrug* I have to wonder, if such things did not cause the two to break their restraints... what would?

That was-so very detailed. It was- a lot of things that really shock me. Truth be told I had trouble getting through this chapter, it was so horrific. The things that he did to her... I was shacking as I read those scenes. I hope that this doesnt go on much longer-there is so much pain it is almost overwhelming. It is very grafic, but I wouldnt want to read it any other way. To tone it down would take something away from the fic, the rawness of it. To say the least, I love this story and can hardely wait for the next update! Tesmoname(Concrete)

Will she know to hide her feelings of seeing him or will she call out his name and seal his fate... Hm, and whats with "the show" thing? Will he make kouga watch him do stuff or will he make kouga do it in front of him. Cause Hiei will be there to watch so we know it ain't private. Any who, Keep up the good work... ^_~
