Yay! So glad you updated! *happy dance* And I was glad to see that Kohaku wasn't a brainwashed puppet, although I guess now he might be, *shrugs*, but I'm sure it'll all work out in the end. Hope they know what they're doing, giving Naraku power like that. LOL, the jewel shard was in the filing cabinet?! That's just awesome. Definitely looking forward to Inuyasha's appearance. I always look forward to your story! What can I say it is so very good! The REALLY good ones like this story is rarly ever finished. But when you DO finish it I will re-read the whole thing because I really love stories like this one. By the way happy new year! and I hope to see more chapters from you but of course take your time. Yay! I'm so glad you didn't abandon this story! Whatever's going on with Inuyasha, he'd better get his ass there, and in some kind of immediate trouble, LOL, 'cause protecting/defending him seems to be the only way to make Kagome give it her all. That was awesome, the way Sesshoumaru lost his control over his emotions for a minute there, and goaded her into blasting apart the courtyard like that. I'm wondering what's going on with Naraku sending in Kohaku, though, because if Kanna was spying and Naraku as a result knows the Order's plans to take over HQ, then one would assume he also heard the part about how he must get the jewel shard. LOL, I can just imagine Kohaku showing up, hoping to sneak his hands onto the shards, getting caught, and then they're like oh no here, you can have them, LOL. But my previous question still remains, is Kohaku faking or did he turn? Guess he can't be totally heartless against his sister now and possess the ability to fight and kill even her to do his job, 'cause then Naraku's threat wouldn't make any sense, so unlike in the canon where Kohaku was brainwashed and actually controlled, in this universe Naraku knows Kohaku is just a human and that humans can have twisted loyalties, mostly revolving around self-preservation. He believes Kohaku was sent there to spy on him but probably called that out and offered him a chance to live once the city went to hell if he joined his side, just like how he'd turned Kikyou to the dark side before, making him a double-agent. Let the Order think they successfully got Kohaku in as a spy, when in reality he's been sweet talked into joining forces with the enemy...or has he? Damn you're good! Guess we'll just have to wait and see, about that, and about where you've had Inuyasha hiding all this time. Super looking forward to the next chapter! | Title: UPDATE

Time to get down to business, I guess, though I can't blame Kagome for still being so shaken up. And then enter Sesshoumaru, and bam. I think that meeting went rather well, LOL, all things considered. But I want to see what happened with Inuyasha. Did he really go drown himself in the sauce again, or did he somehow miraculously manage to stay sober, and he's been wallowing in more lucid misery for the last few days? Is he going to end up showing up at the end during the big battle like a night in shining armor to save the day, or is the war going to more or less drag him into it against his will when the whole city goes to hell in a hand basket with demons running rampant in the streets? Is Kagome going to be injured, and Inuyasha will somehow see it and then that'll cause him to snap and destroy Narkau once and for all? And what of Kohaku? Has Naraku brainwashed him, or is Kohaku pretending to be brainwashed? So many questions! Guess I'll just have to keep reading to find out the answers, huh? ;-) So hurry up and update again! Oh man oh man oh man...! Inuyasha's reaction(s) are perfectly understandable, under the circumstances, but I do hope that he comes around somehow. I hope that right now he doesn't go off to drink himself into oblivion. Also, I think Naraku's vanity and desire for manipulative revenge over physical destruction will ultimately be his undoing. He could have stayed hidden until he was truly ready, at full power, and then surprised and obliterated all of his enemies in a single bound, but instead he wanted to flaunt himself, 'warn' them so that he could relish in their fear, convinced that they are still powerless against him. Instead, he has inadvertently given Kagome the confidence - and determination - to succeed in the war against him. Now she wants revenge, against what Naraku has just done to Inuyasha, and in turn for what Naraku had done to Inuyasha and the others in the past. And she also knows that her powers injured him more than he tried to let on. Sure, she's temporarily an emotional wreck right this minute, and I can hardly blame her, but I know Kagome, and she won't crumble into herself the same way Inuyasha did, and the way Sango and Miroku nearly did before she pulled them together. There's nothing she can do about Inuyasha right now, and that helplessness will translate into determination to destroy Naraku once and for all, for Inuyasha, for the city, for everyone. AAAHHHH!!! i was holding my breath the entire end of the chapter!!! I was so happy that you updated. Holy shit-balls! You're forgiven for taking so long! Damn...this was like the most epic update of all time. As soon as Kagome first had her 'ingenious' idea I cringed, just knowing that something would backfire, not that I've ever been a fan of that type of manipulation to begin with, even if it is for the greater good. As soon as Miroku said he was sending them to the quarry I wanted to reach into my computer screen, grab the phone out of Inuyasha's hand, and shout at Miroku that he was the biggest idiot on the face of the planet...not that they knew what was down there. Oh yes, let's send Inuyasha on a fake assignment that isn't really that dangerous to build his confidence back up. Where should they go? I know! Into Naraku's lair! LOL. I am really glad, though, that this story seems to be moving along at a swift pace and there isn't any more dillydallying...not that you were dillydallying before, well you know what I mean!
