so they're all covering. That's my take on this chapter, guess I will just have to wait and see if I'm correct. Also, I wanted to ask why in your earlier purities the youkai voice is either seldom heard or practically non-existent. Oh and I apologize for my previous asumption reguarding Cain, Bas, and Evan. I had to go back and reread your stories to better understand that. Bas might have the drive and the focus like Cain, but Evan in more like Cain than Bas is. I'm guessing you will reveal why Evan does not like the male members of his immediate family in this story. I fell behind near the end of Purity 7, then didn't visit mediaminer for a long time. I came back and pounded out the rest of 7, all of 8, and up to this chapter in the space of 2 weeks. As before, I have nothing but the highest praise to offer you. Your work is truly amazing on a scale that I only wish I saw more often. I absolutely love it. You take all the time in the world that you need for your writing, and anything that's more important than them. I will eagerly but patiently wait for more of your magic.

Hello, Sueric. I have been reading your fanfics for years now, am a big fan of the purity series, and Metamorphosis. You were my saving grace douring those long hours of Chemistry, and you were the reason I stalked the internet for a text importing program to my iPod so I could carry your stories everywhere I go. I kid you not, all of the Purity series is in there. Anyways, I feel I'm long overdue for this particular review, I don't know if you'll read it, and maybe it's not much, but it's kind of my way of thanking you for years of giggles, tears and lopsided smiles. You're an extremely talented writer, but you know that already. You have a way with characters, a way to enrich them that makes them universal, and I have seldom felt like that about characters, being that it is often pretty easy to fall into the lines of stereotypes and not be able to free them from the jaws of simplicity. I'm an avid reader, especially the good ye olde classics such as Shakespeare, Gogol and Tolstoy. Your fanfics are the ONLY ones, and I have read my fair share, mostly due to boredom, that I have re-read, and will probably re-read douring my lifetime, and I live in a third world country (Panama), there is really not much we can do around here. Don't be surprised if I actually print your stories and send them to get hardcovered so I can stock em up in my precious library, which is my most precious possession. I don't want to sound arrogant, and I know this will sound as if its permeated permanently with the stench of undeserved hubris, but I don't just re-read any book. I guess, what I want to say, is that, you're just too damn good. I wish I was able to put the stories and characters that live in my head on paper (or computer screen) so well. Consider this, a personal thanks, for years of delight. I love you, I love your stories, and I hate myself for sounding sappy, this is so not me. See what you do to me? You're amazing. Ah, Evan, I am another one of those who was anxiously waiting for his story, and it has exceeded my expectations so far, and If you keep it up, I just won't be able to handle so much goodness! I identify myself with Evan so much, and I've been aching for this story. I am the daughter of a relatively famous and talented mother, and well, living under her shadow, is very, very hard. How many times had I wished I could have my own Zel Roka side, and just not care. Ah, but the tight reins of society, you know how it is. Books are my Zel Roka, and no one does Zel Roka like you. (Unless you count Valerie). It is such a joy to come home from college and find a new chapter. I wish I can someday come to be like you, affect people the way you affect me, and from what I read, thousand others who either speak up, like me, or lurk in the darkness for years as I had until this point. This is the first time I've ever actually written a review for any of your stories. Probably because I just finished reading ALL of your stories and may I say they are all wonderful. I was going to bug you and beg for another chapter and ask you what happened to your "mad skillz" but then I read that your son broke is arm, so.... I won't. I hope your son feels better soon.

It's my first time to review Subterfuge and what I can say, I love Evan to bits... eventhough he can really stick his foot in his mouth at the worst of times. I was actually waiting for this story to come out eversince you announced all the upcoming Purity stories waaay back. Honestly, I thought Evan would be so much worse (considering the fact that he was always pictured so)... heehee... but he really is a darling. I hope your son gets well soon.

oh it so nice to come home and see a chapter up and ready for me... (6am to 2pm, with about 5 hours sleep, (CANT they ****** call up earlier when they know that some one is going to be away!!!!) and basicly no breaks... ) Sad to hear about your son... I'm SO glad I've never broken any thing... (My brother is the one who get hospitalised not me...) Hope it heals Quickly and straight!

hi sueric i got myself an account only to be able to post a review (im not into writing myself...especially not in english hihi) cuz i just had to tell you what an awsome job ur doin as an author. I've been with u since purity 1 and i enjoy the series very much, especially evan's escapades in subterfuge.He explaining the german word groß as in really big in the last chapter had me laughing 5 minutes straight.Im hanging in front of my laptop day and night waiting for you to update and make my day :-) Greetz from Frankfurt, Germany missmary

Before this chapter I don't know if I would have said I enjoyed the story so much as I was compelled by it. I needed to read to find out what would happen, but really I'm just not very good with angst. It stresses me out and I feel uncomfortable, so it's difficult for me to say I 'like' an angsty story. I must say though, this chapter was extremely satisfying. I've had a lot of stress in my life outside of the story I've been reading, and I definitely needed "quiet". I'd like to say thank you very much for this chapter. I realize there is probably plenty of angst yet to arrive, but I think I'll be able to say that, yes, I'm enjoying reading this story from now on. PS Thank you for accepting my apology. I think we've all been duly chastised, and there will be no more arguments on the review board.

I really liked how soft and tender Evan was being with Valerie in this chapter. It just proves that even bad boys can have their soft sides as well. I hope your son gets better soon, Sue! As we always say, family first, so don't hesitate to take all the time you need!

I love the fact that Evan now has admitted to himself out loud that he sees Valerie as his mate. It makes things more permanent. At least thats how I perceive them. I just cant wait to see how Evan will coerce Valerie into thinking that she belongs with him and how she'll go about breaking up with Marvin. I also cant wait when Valerie sees the real Evan. Thats the part that Im most excited about! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Awesome job Sue and cant wait for the next chapter to come out!
