Title: gonna go crazy Reviewed By: p3rv3-f3ct-o [MediaMiner Member] On: September 21, 2008 15:19 PDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 10 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: I'm gonna go crazy, I'm gonna go crazy, I'm gonna go crazy, I'm gonna go crazy, please sueric have mercy on us little people. update soon....well for the last 24 hours i have gotten maybe 5 hours of sleep due to the chapter "anything". this is because i have been running scenarios in my head of what could happen and what has happened in v's past. i also think that v crossed the line but that Evan bulldozered it. i think that things have past hitting the fan and the roof for that matter so it will be interesting to what else will happen. i don't think that anything i have ever read before can compare to chapter 20 and i hope that Evan and Valerie make up soon. if my theories are correct, and i have many theories, then Evan is going to feel like shit soon.... good job sueric and please put me out of my misery.

Reviewed By: purplepeopleeater1 [MediaMiner Member] On: September 20, 2008 23:06 PDT Comment/Review: I'm shocked by how some people think Valerie deserves the treatment she received. Since when is insulting someone's mother (knowingly or unknowingly) on par with being coerced and badgered into giving a blow job? Evan came so close to the point where no one (especially not Gin) could justify his actions. Sueric has done a wonderful job of bringing these characters to a very dark and complex place and is very kind to share them with us. I hope people can enjoy the depth of Evan and Valerie's story while realizing that certain actions aren't justifiable simply because the one committing them is our protagonist. I'm curious to see what's behind Valerie's tendency to care about people who are trapping her in painful situations. Why is she still in a relationship with Marvin who hurts her emotionally? Why would she submit to Evan's demands which would be emotionally and psychologically scarring to them both? I'm thinking it has something to do with a pattern in her past since she seems to be estranged from her family. (And possibly all previous acquaintances?) Please Sue, throw us a bone! The mysteriousness of Val's past has my imagination doing donuts. I'm stressed about everyone's mental health too. Evan was staring into the abyss and was able to walk away, but can he and Valerie fully recover from this encounter? I'm worried that they'll have to hit rock bottom in some horrific, life-threatening manner before they'll be able to move past this terrible night in a mutually-healing way.

He had to listen to her demean his mother and then he accepted a dance for her fiance but since he's such a sweetheart he couldnt force himself to go through with her promise. at least he could walk away. but val must feel pretty shitty. great job! ~MSMND

Reviewed By: lilswtheart9811 [MediaMiner Member] On: September 20, 2008 20:42 PDT Comment/Review: okay so I was reading the reviews just a moment ago and came across a review with the theory that Evan was covering for someone. Wow, I'm really sorry I didn't think of that. After all it makes sense doesn't it? I mean Evan is a trouble maker but he's also a great guy so why would he make light of a situation like that? But then again Evan IS a trouble maker so it is a great possibility that he DID do what he was committed of. Anywho, I'm interested to see where you take this. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites along with Vendetta, and the one with Gin and Cain, which I can't really remember at the moment! ciao! --'-@ sweetheart @-'--

I can't believe Marvin, he's just too sweet at making her feel guilty about things it's sickening! Wow, I don't blame Evan for being so cold to Valerie, but the coldness doesn't really suit him towards her; even if its understandable why he is being cold to her right now.

Reviewed By: Migoto [MediaMiner Member] On: September 20, 2008 11:46 PDT Comment/Review: I'm pretty conflicted. That was painful to read. I know Val needed a wake-up call on Marv's disregard for her wants/needs, but that was just out right cruel. It also seemed odd that she would submit to it with nothing to say. I've decided I'm not good with angst. I think he's being silly for being mad at her for "insulting" his mom because it was obvious that she was insulting someone she thought to be one of his bimbos because he did dress her in something extremely revealing and said he was on a date. I'm going to have to take a break for several chapters until this gets resolved so I can read the chapters all at once instead of suffering one day at a time.

Title: Chapter 12: I love Gin and Evan moments... Reviewed By: iloveanimecartoons [MediaMiner Member] On: September 20, 2008 11:03 PDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 10 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: He's such a mama's boy! It's so cute and such a pleasant reverse from what he generally puts out, personality-wise, to the masses (though, sometimes ya just gotta smile and shake your head at Gin's cluelessness--kinda cute how Evan's got her wrapped around his finger and vice versa). Marvin, to me, isn't a bad guy, per se...just short-sighted when matters of his research abound. I don't think he's purposely neglectful but impassioned. I dont' really see a love match in him and V, though...
