Okay, this writing was amazing. I've recently binge watched every
episode and movie, now I am on to binge reading. I enjoy reading
"crazy long" FanFiction and this one held a magnificent balance of
tragedy, romance, and everything in between. The only thing that
slowed me down was looking up some abstract words here and there.
Not so abstract as less common. Through context clues I was able to
understand what they had meant but the doubt was there and I needed
to reassure myself. I agree entirely with the award you received on
the portrayal of InuYasha, and I have to say I've not read anything
that has him as in character as this does. I also very much enjoyed
the notations at the bottom of each chapter explaining your thought
processes and the explanation of character names. And at the
beginning I enjoyed your FanFiction of the week parts as well
lining up more for me to binge read. All in all King Baka, than you
so much for a cleverly written, well thought out, and true to
character FanFiction. I'm sad to see the end and will be reading
more of your works in the near future. :)

Wow..that's the only word that comes to mind after reading such a beautifully written piece. I laughed, I cried and yelled in frustration and sometimes did all 3 at once! I have rarely enjoyed a book as much as I enjoyed your beautiful take on such a wondrous universe as Inuyasha. I must say the title left quite a few questions that needed answering and as soon as I began to read your first chapter I felt myself fall into it as if falling down the well into the Sengoku Jidai. I am very happy to say that your beautiful story has been converted to a word document and remains safely tucked in my kindle where it will be treasured as long as I have the ability to read. It is also anxiously awaiting my reread that I am starting as I was to be honest in quite a hurry to find a conclusion that I feel I didn't get a chance to savor it as much as I would love. But that's what the first reread is for. My only question for you would be is what happened at the very end to Sango, Miroku.. or even Kaede? I feel like I wanted to hear the end to all of their stories as well. But I suppose that is the side effect of something so enjoyable, you never wish for it to end. Also I must inform you I have also featured your amazing story on my Blog as my favorite fanfiction of the week, even though to be true it is right up there as favorite for life next to a few others. I am also eagerly waiting during this reread to look into each of the stories that you recommend during the chapters. I truly love the novelty of that idea and can't wait to read anything that you deem worthy to post in your authors notes. Well thank you again for creating such beauty and I look forward to more works of yours. |

I'm pretty sure that Kohaku is Japanese for "amber", and since Shinji means "pearl", I think it might be relevant that both of them are named after gemstones formed organically (amber from fossilized tree sap, pearls from oysters when a grain of sand gets inside them). Also, I think I've heard about the Tsunokakushi before, in another fanfic on FanFiction.Net titled "A Twist in Time" by JediHanyou. In one of the later chapters, it's mentioned that this marital custom originated from youkai tradition, in which the "horns of jealousy" were often literal. (There was also something about mother-in-laws...) |

I just realized something. Most of the worst malevolent youkai in Inuyasha seem to be based on ectothermic creatures ("cold-blooded" animals). Think about it: Naraku sort of based on a spider (I think, cuz Onigumo means "ogre spider"), Gatenmaru and Garamaru were moths, that youkai that tricked Nazuna into thinking he was a priest was a spider, and now Taichimaru here is a snake. And there were those other moths in the first movie. What's next, an evil BUTTERFLY?! LOL |

Yay, Shippou-kun got some spotlight! XD (Yes, I called him "kun" on purpose.) I've always kind of figured that youkai like Shippou keep any items in their persona in what is usually referred to as "Hammerspace". As far as I know, this is a plot device that allows characters to carry large objects with them and not have to worry about the amount of cargo. Usually a magic bag or something is used to justify it. Sesshoumaru may also use something similar for his swords when he transforms. |

This is amazing! I can't even begin to tell you how awesome this is!!! You know, once I saw a fanart on deviantART of Inuyasha dressed in modern clothes like the outfit you gave him here. He even had a ponytail! XD The only real difference was that his hat wasn't covering his ears, and he had a tail. Lemme find it... I finally finished rereading the whole story. I still love it as much as I did the first time. You did such an excellent job with the characters. I do have one question about something I didn't catch the first time I read this story. What ever happened to the sword that Kagome got to seal her blood? They picked it up from Totosai and then it was never mentioned again. After the battle with Naraku you make mention of how Kagome was weaponless even though the sword could be counted despite the fact that she doesn't know how to use it. And during the fight with that cat that had the missing piece of the Shikon no Tama, the one that almost ate Inuyasha, you had her transform to full youkai. Shouldn't the sword have prevented that? Or did they forget the sword since she never uses it? I was just curious. Other than that I simply loved this fic. |

I really don't know what to say...your story made me laugh, cry, thinking about relationships all in one..your story is -to say the truth- the most amazing one I've ever come to read..I spent hours and hours on reading because I wanted to know what's going to happen next so badly..I kind of lost myself in it...and to be honest with you..I'm normally not the person to cry because of a movie or in that case a story..but yours just blew me away and I had no choice ;) soo..to come to an end..you really did a great job with writing this one..and I can assure you that it wasn't the last time I've read this story ;) so..I'll leave you some greetings from germany and I can't wait to read another story of you ;) C U :) |
