Neither one really listens to what the other is saying and their inner dialog is just too funny at times! LOL I really like the whole mating mark idea you have worked out. Would a human be able to see the marks as well or do they appear in the light spectrum that only demons can see? Would the marks develop color over time and look similar to a tattoo for humans in that respect? IMO Sesshomaru totally missed the implications of the mating mark that Inuyasha gave him. Inuyasha said it 'reminded' him of the Goshinboku because it was huge and majestic. He did not say that it was the Goshinboku. I think that Inuyasha's desire for a family created that symbol; it's a family tree. I bet if Sesshoumaru found a mirror to look in he would find the branches filled with demon dogs and puppies, proudly overlooked by two large white dogs. Maybe they are hidden in the picture and you have to look for them. Just like the 'find the hidden objects' pictures that are so much fun to do. The whole breakfast scene was hysterical! Rin was great; I hope we get to see more of her. Nice characterization. And then there was Inuyasha's reaction to the seating arrangements. LOL!! He's complaning that he's not the 'female' and what does he do but 'bitch slap' Sesshoumaru! Absolutely priceless!! I do hope for poor Inuyasha's sake that Sesshoumaru doesn't try to kick him awake (again Inuyasha is reacting in a true 'B' class movie heroine moment by fainting from over-wrought emotions). It looks like Inu's youki has been almost depelted. Will Sesshomaru's youki now demand that he complete the third claim in an effort to feel and finally understand what is going through Inuyasha's mind? Looking forward to the next chapter! Bibi

LOL I can't imagine how he would even begin to try to manage that one. But something will have to give and I'm anxious to see which way you take this. Snowfall

This all just happened to fast for any certainties. Add to that that it is mating season and no one is in their right mind. It was cute that he thought Sess was being presumptuous and that Sess's assertion that Inu was home was 'the single most ridiculous thing he had ever heard come out of his brother's mouth.' I love your wording, always. You're so witty. Poor Inu with his 'unattainable desires'. Well expressed. I wonder how it is that Inu's human side has now become stronger. I am glad that it has, although it has not been healthy thus far. I just don't trust Sess anymore than he does. Sess's motives are shrouded in his aloof demeanor. He doesn't even seem to know that he cares all that much about Inu and truly hasn't accepted him on more than a basic level of quieting his youkai and keeping his promise to his mother. I don't understand why he would attack Inu if he knew that Inu might be pregnant. Someone needs to kick his fluffy ass. Perhaps his youkai could do a really good job of that. That just kind of really pissed me off. (Getting into the story a bit much). If I were Inu, I couldn't live with the jerk either--- Rin was so cute, as always. You did a really good job at making her three dimensional in such a short time. I liked Inu's little conversation with her and his attempt to ignore Sess. I definitely would have liked to have heard her answer to his question. She probably loses her appetite when her lord is away. Such a sweetheart. And Sess is still an ass. Sorry, can't say it enough. So, Sess's treatment drives Inu's two halves, the submissive youkai and the insecure human, to war with each other to such an extent that it causes him physical pain? That's terrible. Will it kill Inu if Sess can't reassure Inu's human side? The bastard probably won't care either. Too bad that Sess's behavior is instinctual. It means that he won't allow Inu to be away from him, not that it wouldn't kill Inu to leave anyway. Which is another question. Would Inu die if he left Sess right now? Does he still need nourishment from Sess's youkai? You have done a really good job with characterization. However, in later episodes and in the third movie, Sess actually acts like he cares about Inu's welfare. In the episode with the poison master, Sess saves the group and keeps asking where Inu is like he's worried. In the movie, Sess shoves Inu out of the way and takes a hit from the bad guy. Sess also reacts quite swiftly and violently when the bad guy tells Inu that he (the sort of bad guy) was the one to send Inu's mother to hell. So, Sess actually does start lightening up a bit and showing some concern, although he does intentionally hide it. He does try to be softer with Rin though. So he isn't really a complete bastard. Just a snob. I am anxious to see how you portray him treating Inuyasha now that this new problem has come to light and in the event that Inuyasha becomes pregnant. I really enjoyed this chapter. Thanks

In the previous chapter Sesshoumaru's attitude towards Inuyasha was a little arrogant. I can understand the submission, but Inuyasha has to be stronger than that right? Sesshoumaru's behaviour is just wrong. No respect, when I read stories like this, I feel for Inuyasha. He has his own mind, yet people underestimate him, it's always Sesshoumaru's way or no way. Sometimes Sesshoumaru has to learn that he can have everything he wants. Don't get me wrong, I love your story, but Sesshoumaru is an ass. Sorry about the language, but it's true. For once, I would like to see Inuyasha strong and in control of his destiny. This is a general opinion, not focused specifically on this story. I like the reason you gave for Inuyasha's role in their mating, about how he is able to bear young. But Sesshoumaru sometimes gets overbearing with his arrogance and insults. When I read your story, I get this particular scences in my head where Inuyasha was able to actually escape and raise the child himself. I know crazy. Sorry...I'm going over the top here. All I wanted to do was review...Great story. I can't wait to read more. If I pissed you off! Sorry :) If you think I'm wrong or out of line, feel free to comment. *Not being sarcastic* sessephinucloud@yahoo.com Loke

Excellent story hope you can write more though. :3

Haven't been able to organize my thoughts. So, Sesshoumaru was eager to learn about marking. That was cute. Hm, it sounds like Sesshoumaru has doubts about keeping Inu unless Inu is pregnant. Of course, his youkai fights it. And, he's not sure that Inu didn't feel trapped into the mating. So many doubts. Atleast, Sesshoumaru's curiosity about the mark seems to be out-weighing his anger over the insult that he feels that he has been dealt. I feel sorry for Inu because he knows that Sesshoumaru would track him if he left. Sesshoumaru seems to have accepted their mating fairly well. I'm surprised about that. I feel sorry for Inu in that he knows that Sesshoumaru would have no problem tracking him if he left. Or maybe not now that they have taken the second step? Hm, wonder why Inu didn't fight Sess about leaving. And what is he curious about? I can see Inu now when Sesshoumaru tries to 'train' him. If he's not submissive, he will fight tooth and nail. I just keep waiting for him to start pitching a fit. So far, he's remained surprisingly submissive and I'm sure that it could continue indefinitely. I really was surprised when Sesshoumaru said that the palace was Inu's home, and somewhat relieved. I'm babbling now. Great chapter. Snow

It will be interesting to see Sesshoumaru's reaction once he actually sees the tree mating mark for himself. It does sound beautiful if it shimmers like you say. I want to know what the colors are and such. Email me and I'll ask the questions that may help you describe what Sesshoumaru sees. (I saw your note about having difficulty describing it.) Wonderful chappie. Snowfall

So, little Inu really did do some seducing. I love the submissiveness, but I guess that is about over. The mark on Inu's back sounds beautiful and poor Sess got stuck with a tree. Ooooh, bet he's pissed. Uh Oh, Inu thinks that he is going home and Sess has other plans. I wonder how this one is going to work out....On another note, when I first started writing lemons, I would blush and had a difficult time with putting in detail. Well, a hentai friend of mine and time has broken me of my bashfulness. I would like to see more details to your lemons. I know that it is time consuming and perhaps something that you don't want to do for one reason or another. Just thought I'd let you know though. You would do a good job, I'm certain. Love the marks and interaction at the spring.

I ask because there are endless possibilities for obstacles. On with the review. I like how you surprised Sesshoumaru with the strength of Inuyasha's youki. Sesshoumaru's youki being pissed at not being allowed to sleep with Inuyasha was funny. Wow, he let Inuyasha sleep for several hours. It must've taken a lot of strength to stay away. Looking into Inuyasha's eyes being the point of no return was a very nice touch. It was so sweet that Sesshoumaru spoke to him nicely. Inuyasha is being so submissive! I can't wait to read it from his point of view and to see if he really is attempting to seduce Sesshoumaru or if it is instinctual, or maybe a bit of both. Hehe, Sesshoumaru doesn't share. Oh yeah. I like that! Having them both in a dazed trance-like state was great. I do have one nitpick. We read what Sesshoumaru was doing to Inuyasha, but little about how it physically felt to him. You may have left that out on purpose though. I hope you don't leave it out on Inuyasha's POV. Aside from that, the lemon was great. I especially liked Inuyasha's skin deepening its flush. It was amusing when Sesshoumaru re-thought his intent to change positions. Ooooh, (shivers) the marking was so violent. I hope it doesn't hurt Inuyasha too much in his weakened state. Now, for the questions. Will their youki settle down now? Will Sesshoumaru reject, or appear to reject Inuyasha? If so, what will Inuyasha do? Oh, somehow I missed how it is that Sesshoumaru finally decided to accept Inuyasha in the first place. Maybe you left that out on purpose. Inuyasha had some really good questions about Sesshoumaru's motives. Anywho, great chapter. Love ya, Snowfall
