aw man I was all crossing fingers then all excited when inuyasha kissed kagome, and then *poof* kiss ended and self doubt and analyzing kick in. But I like how you handled their reactions...no overly whiny or crying characters their emotions were genuine. cant wait for the next update!

I really love this story. I check it all the time waiting for updates and I was so excited to see a new chapter up already that I stopped what I was doing to read it. There is just one thing that I saw in this chapter that has been growing. You keep talking about all this darkness inside InuYasha and the others, how hes always numb, clinging to pain to feel, etc. I just think that there is a difference between going in-depth to show people how serious it is and beating people to death with this information. In this last chapter I think you crossed the line. As always it is up to you whether you think I am full of shit or worth some credit, but I hope that this review might give you some pause. This last chapter was good, and I believe it was a good progression of Kagome's and InuYasha's relationship, but it was difficult to read. It was very tedious, and a lot of the things you said were repititious. I understand needing to get the point across to the reader, even those a little slower than most, but this was not only getting the point across, you slapped us in the face with it and stapled it to our forehead. I am not trying to be mean, you describe things well, and you are progressing the story at a rate that is believable, and realistic. I think you have a great concept and great writing skills. I hope to see more chapters from you in the near future, and happy holidays.

GREAT chapter. I loved the kiss and it's aftermath here. Now that Kagome knows that Kikyo is not a romantic obstacle but merely a opportunistic bitch, I look forward to seeing Kagome fight for Inuyasha. He deserves it, and he needs her so much. And I'm so glad to see that Inuyasha may be STARTING to believe that he may be worth saving, too. I'll definitely be looking for the next chapter of theis EXCELLENT story. Let the games begin.....

Great chapter. Inuyasha's sacrifice to save Kohaku explains so much about him. He's been through so much and done a lot of things wrong.....but deep-down is a such a good person. I really hope that Kagome will be able to save him. And I can't wait to see how Kagome will re-connect Kohaku with his sister. This was an excellent chapter.

Inuyasha is soo slow on the up take. It make ya want to just jump on him hugs and kisses till all his pain is gone ne? I hope he see's what he means to her soon. And Kags look like she wanted to kick kikyo's ass back to hell! Well I can't wait to see how it all comes together

You know when you put down that Inuyahsa is liking the pain that he's getting whenever he sees the truth. I think I heard that before from somewhere they say that its better to feel pain than to feel something, I forgot what that something was but it is a good advise if I said that right... Wow, talk about some intense chapters! I guess I am constantly amazed, on some level, that Kagome can stand the kind of "rejection" that he hands her way. Perhaps it's because she sees through his little cover-ups, but him saying "it didn't mean anything" would kill some part of me if I were her. Even the strong have their weak points. Her past is definitely a sore point, but also her strength and I continually wonder what he will finally say to break her. Everything breaks. I just hope that both Inuyasha and Kagome can find some place between them that doesn't involve hurtful words or one sided sacrifices. It's hard to see him want, but doubt himself. Incredibly sad. The last couple of lines were very interesting and I can't wait see them manifest in future chapters. Beautiful, thoughtful writing, as always. You have a beautiful way with words and a great deal of skill to put such pain and raw emotion into your writing. I look forward to the next chappies. Thanks for your hard work!

that was gut wrenching, true to heart, and really powerful. even though sango's situtation was extreme, her guilt, her hindsight really brought out how tightly she is a part of the group. and how much she came to rely on inuyasha. he was able to share his strength with her, ask her as his best friend not to leave without him, and now he's gotten to the point where he might be leaving without her. he can give his strength to others but not find it within himself to heal. he needs to borrow from someone the way sango did to truly start to live again. to talk without having anyone judge or offer advice. to just listen. and kagome can do so much, not only by looking to heal kohaku's past void and find that piece of sango that's been missing, but by simply being the one person that will just listen. kohaku has come so far now that he's in a safe and stable environment and they will have to go through the difficult decision of whether or not to reunite the siblings. and inuyasha looks to be back from his little night on his own (when he really wanted to be with people but didn't want to be judged). i'm curious to see how much of the conversation he overheard, and how he reacts to kagome's suspicions. he cares deeply for sango (whether or not he admits that to kagome) and if he thinks what she's doing will hurt or endanger either one of them, then he won't hesitate to voice it.
