Wonderful start to what is assured to be a wonderful story! I like the small twist that Inuyasha apparently already had his sword with him at the time of being sealed, so that the keepers of the shrine then took it from him as an artifact. I also love that your Kagome is aware of the 'unofficial' legend that involves Naraku's manipulation, so that she knows the youkai of the legend was not truly evil. Inuyasha's reaction was hard to judge, if the news was completely a surprise to him, or if he was just surprised that Kagome was aware of it. After all, in the manga, Miroku showed up knowing that Naraku had been the one to kill Kikyou, so it's quite possible that Inuyasha had already learned the truth some other way over the years. But then again, if he never really interacted with any humans after awakening, if he managed to make peace with his brother fairly soon and stayed amongst the youkai the whole time, then he might not have learned the truth after all. We shall have to wait and see what you decide to do. I also noticed that Kagome was calling him a "youkai" instead of a "hanyou", so if that bit of information got lost over the years, then that'll be interesting to watch when she learns that tiny little detail. He's lucky he's hanyou, otherwise that purifying explosion of hers would've just killed him. I also love that you made Buyo female, as I think about 90% of all calico cats are. I still need to correct that in some of my older stories. (Ever since I learned that little tidbit, that old song that goes "Black and orange stray cat sitting on a fence" just makes me laugh. The cat in that song is male, which means he's sterile! And here he's singing about being a "lady's cat", LOL)

Fenikkusuken is back and off to a rollicking good start on a fic guarenteed to tease, please, and make you laugh till you land on your knees. I'm so happy. I was devistated when Phoenix Blade ended, although I knew that it couldn't go on forever, I kept squeezing my eyes shut and whispering, Just One More, Please? Off to a really fun start! I'm dying to find out what the physiological (not genetic?) oddity is about calicos, and am charmed by the idea of Buyo having a role beyond napping, eating, and hissing. But then, I'm a sucker for Kirara. Looking forward to the next installment

Not a bad story line...so far, obviously the poodle and the mutt scrape together reasonably well at this time. I always thought Buyo was male, was it even mentioned in the anime? Anyhow, so far so good, could be a bit longer, but the story has hopes of something to chew on in later (longer) chapters

Wow, I love this! Your stories are always the best when it comes to Inu/Kag, well, I've only read the ones with Inu/Kag anyways. I love the modern-day theme for it, too.

Interesting first chapter, reminds me of Phoenix Blade with a combination of canon and divergence. It's a bit difficult to judge what course of action you're going to take, this being the first chapter, but there's enough to draw a few ideas. BTW, I know all about the Kusanagi (*wink*), I had to research it for my "Love Thy Enemy" fic. That's the sword Susano'o cut from the yamato-no-orochi's tail, right?

I very much enjoyed this. :D I would suggest a divergence from the order on monsters that appear. (Please no Naraku/Onigumo. T_T It's so overused to have him in modern times as the enemy; maybe a visit to his grave instead?)

One thing don't bring back kikyo. Lol! I mean having a dead women walk around in modern tokyo is way too unbelieveable. She's get hit by a car and turn to dust! Well at least she doesn't need to eat or go to the bathroom...
