That may have been a hard chapter to write but it was a great, easy read! This story is so original. I have a special fondness for canon timeline fics (not a real a/u girl here) and I know, now that I've started writing, how hard it is to weave actual anime scenes with an original story. This chapter worked on many levels--it gave just enough of the anime scenes without being repetitious and it illuminated those scenes. I am so happy with the way you're handling Yamcha here--he is flawed, lovely, human, and achingly likable. I've almost forgotten about Vegeta--oops, did I say that outloud? Ah, well, I know you'll snap my interest back to the prince soon--You shot up him into space just like in the anime, and I'm twitching with anticipation!!!

yes indeedy that was fun. It's quite fun to be reading a 3 yrs fic and have no clue as to what's going to happen next. I love a self-torturing Vegeta and yet when he said "both" to Bulma, it was all lightness and surprise here! Lovely exchange.

Hey! This disappeared from my favourites list over at FF.net and it took me quite a bit of digging to find it again! I'm glad I did. MAN what a twist that last chapter was! Why did you call it "the paranormal gooseberry?" Anyway, I'm glad to see this thing is still going. There are far too few really good B/Vs out there. Keep up the good work!

What an eerily lovely image...being held by both loves at once, one alive and one ghostly, one in front of her and one behind her, one flesh and the other ethereal...sort of creepy and poignant at the same time. I like how in the end you use a similar image in that Vegeta lifts her out of Yamcha's spectral arms. I like the moment when Vegeta allows Bulma to stroke his forehead and it does not escape Yamcha's notice. I like the part when Vegeta senses the truth, and puts his interloper on notice.
