You rock my purple lama socks!!!!!!!

Reviewed By: DragonHostile17 On: August 19, 2005 16:41 CDT Comment/Review: ....wow that's a lot to take in. But at least your side note did give us an insight that there will be a silver lining ahead (the half-full glass of milk). By the way whose the idiot who thought Isabelle was a bitch? I'd like to kick their ass. Duh dipshit can you not read? When the hell did Sue ever say Isabelle was evil? Get your eyes checked, or at least return your defective hooked-on-phonics.

Reviewed By: Angelstars (not signed in) On: August 19, 2005 14:03 CDT Comment/Review: I've never cried so much; start through to finish and one of many wonderfully written chapters from this series so far. With the anguish and guilt ridden feelings Cain is suffering through you can understand his reactions and his anger, now we know the full picture & past between he and Isabelle it's all starting to make sense. He's probably relived that day over and over in his dreams and worst nightmares only to be reminded of what he had to do in reality on the same day of every year of his little girls birthday…so tragically sad. I am unclear as to why some of your readers would dislike Isabelle or name her as being evil (ZaraKitsune made a very good assumption with the Kikyou hate idea), It never crossed my mind once; back to what happened the night Belle was born, no mother would ever put their life before their child no matter what the reason, why or how they were conceived what Isabelle did shouldn't be a reason for her so-called hate mob to point blame over-Cain had to make a choice too, he was going to lose Isabelle no matter what. Cain made a lot of mistakes, & she did not even understand-too quick to judge her just because she was naïve of what being mated to an Inu-youkai really meant. Hmm, wonder what are the chances that Isabelle haters are also Kikyou haters? Reminds me of how some where also quick to judge Belle at the beginning only to roll over and fall in love with her because she actually is Kich's future mate.

Reviewed By: cjflutterbye [MediaMiner Member] On: August 19, 2005 12:21 CDT Comment/Review: and now we know what happened to Isabelle... either way she was leaving him - had already left him really - death was just more final I suppose. He had to save his daughter - no choice there. So, he's talked about it, I wonder if it will get better.. Gin is still saying that she's sorry - but it was never her that needed to be sorry. Ah, well, someone will beat some sense into one or both of them before it is over, I'm sure of that.

Reviewed By: WhisperingWolf [MediaMiner Member] On: August 19, 2005 11:02 CDT Comment/Review: Wow, that was pretty powerful. Before this chapter, I had thought that what killed her was doing the mating mark incorrectly, but this...no wonder it affected Cain so badly. That isn't a choice anyone ever wants to have to make, and yet it's a choice that when there - can't be avoided or ignored. Thanks for this, great chapter. Keep up the excellent work.

Title: Ch. 65-66 Reviewed By: Darkless (nsi) On: August 19, 2005 01:20 CDT Comment/Review: Well, that was an eye-opener for most of us. Cain has needed to get that off his chest for a long time, to purge it. Sometimes when you can take a horrible memory and take it out into the light, you can gain perspective, maybe see things you never considered before. It's difficult to see past your own guilt when your too close to a situation. Cain's guilt over his marriage with Isabelle, her unhappiness, and the way she died...is just as much Isabelle's fault. But pointing fingers is pointless and doesn't change a thing. What's done is done. And his promise only stems from his deep-seated feelings of guilt. They were in a bad situation and he did the best thing he could; he saved Bellaniece. I don't think that Isabelle would want him to make a promise like that. She did love him in her own way and wanted to give him what he said he needed. She didn't have to do that. They may not have been intimate towards the end but they were still friends. *sigh* It's unfortunate and tragic...and now Gin has been sucked right into the middle. Like her mother before her, she's finding that competing with a ghost and her intended's misplaced sense of honor is almost impossible. All she can do is hope that Cain chooses life over... *grabs another tissue*

Reviewed By: notzathros On: August 19, 2005 01:05 CDT Comment/Review: Great chapters! I had a feeling that the death was a childbirth thing. Interesting dynamic between Cain and Isabelle - freedom releases love sometimes. Seen it happen a few times with friends this year. For example, my SIL has hated living in Pa for decades - always wanted to be somewhere else. She finally made the big move to Florida and, during the months of packing and preparing to leave, finally started to enjoy her life here. By the time she was ready to go, she didn't hate Pennsylvania anymore. Wierd, huh? Seems sort of like Cain and Isabelle - once they realized they didn't have to struggle at an eternal relationship, they were able to relax and really enjoy each other.

Reviewed By: ZaraKitsune On: August 19, 2005 00:43 CDT Comment/Review: i think some of the readers are stuck in "hate kikyo" mode (which includes and trying to "steal" Inuyasha or one of his children's mates....) i personally got the impression that she wasn't "evil" but maybe disturbed? like she went insane because of what she lost, no acting, no broadway, no regular life... that and the way you did it were the only two that i could think of where Cain wasn't a "murderer" persay, and we all love Cain too much for him to be a murderer. but i think you did a very good job with this chapter, and i think that it was very good at clearing up alot about Isabelle, and Cain too... I'm looking forward to your next post, and i just hope you enjoy writing these as much as i enjoy reading them, they are amazing!!!

I wanna say something that hasn't been said a thousand times before, but here goes nothing: That was absolutely brilliant, you've added another dimension to Cain that we couldn't see before. I'm a sucker for happy endings, and I would love nothing more for Gin to help him through this, but I can foresee a long, hard road ahead of them. Cain has lots of demons to overcome and I am waiting with bated breath to see what happens!

Title: *has become a human version of Niagra falls* Reviewed By: Lady_Yukiko [MediaMiner Member] On: August 18, 2005 23:09 CDT Comment/Review: I was warned that this chapter would make me cry, but I never realized that I would be crying this much. Even though this chapter was sad and had angst in it, it's still a beautiful chapter because it shows how strong and compassionate that Cain is and I think that Gin is going to fall even more head over in heels in love with him because of it.
