great chapter update... feel bad for kagome... she's trying to help inuyasha out... but it seems that he doesn't want her help... hope she goes after inuyasha though... if inuyasha goes back being a tetsudai... will kagome have to go back too... wonder what will happen now... update as soon as you can... please and thank you!

Another great chapter, and it was such a depressing ending. I'm hoping things brighten up next chapter, because there really is only so much angst and sadness one can take. Especially with the update system. It's my three least favorite things in writing coupled into one package. Angst, Sadness, and Anticipation. Bah. Anyway, your chapter was nice and original, and a great read. Keep up the work. There is one thing that I have to wonder though... Where is Inuyasha's brother? It seems like he would play an important roll in the story later on, considering he's a full demon, and the prejudices of the two races. Hope its answered soon, but not too soon. First I'd rather see what happens next so that our favorite couple gets together... Later!

Typically as chapter fics go on, people stop reviewing because they've already said their "ZOMG! THIS IS GREAT! UPDATE!". And let's face it, that's what *most* reviews are. Reviews with substance are few and far between. I wish this site offered a way to see how many people have a specific fic 'favorited'. That's far more telling than reviews. In any case, I really enjoy the world you've set up here. The frustration and relative hopelessness of the legal situation Inuyasha is in is tangible. You are also keeping the characters themselves despite it being an AU which is rare and shows great talent on your part. I'm also enjoying that it's taken a while for the characters to come to terms with their emotions and that they didn't jump immediately into love. So many authors would have them confessing their undying devotion by chapter 3. I am hoping that you keep it up even though right now you're on a precarious edge that could easily sway you from that path. Kagome's giving nature often lets authors turn her into a doormat. I sincerely hope you don't give into that line of reasoning because you've been doing astoundingly well thus far. As for places to improve, I think you could have taken a bit more time to talk about the month that he spent at her home. You took 9 chapters to tell the story of the first month, but then slammed through the next in 2. And that is supposedly when his character development really took place. Maybe you have a reason for skipping it and plan to address the missing time in later chapters, but I'll admit I was thrown when you suddenly skipped ahead 3 whole weeks. I am very interested to see where you take it from here.

I love your story so far! at first I thought it would be all about sex but i was mistaking. It had turned out to be a story filled with compassion...but now i am mad because you left me with a awful chapter ending. you are mean for doing that, so please please update soon even though you had just updated today! I ask for too much don't i?

This chapter is phenomenal. You handle these raw emotions and extreme situations so well, and you've really thought through everyone's personalities so that they remain constant and believeable through and through. Inuyasha would not accept Kagomes offer just like that, he's too wounded, has another way of seeing things alltogether. Kagome made her decision mainly because of the factor love and that's enough for her - because she already has the rest a grown person can need. But Inuyasha doesn't. It will take more time and it will wound them both - Inuyasha litteraly - but I really hope it'll all end well! This chapter was amazing! YOU'RE amazing!

And there it is...GREAT chapter. Poor Kagome. She finally confesses to Inuyasha that she loves him...only to have him throw it back in her face. It's out of fear for her and her family, of course, but what he said doesn't make that at all clear. It must be awful for the person that you want to offer you exactly what you wished for....only to know that you can't accept it because it may put her in danger. Poor Inuyasha. That world they live in is definitely a cruel one. I just hope that Kagome can figure out a way to get out of this. Inuyasha loves her (though he hasn't yet admitted it, even to himself). And he loves her so much that he will let her go to protect her. But she loves him enough to fight for him...soemthing I'm sure he isn't used to. I can't wait to see how this plays out.
