Reviewed By: Passing Reader On: March 26, 2006 05:23 PST Comment/Review: I havta agree with Snowfall on the way you word things, I dident think anything of it until she mentioned it, I mearly thought that was the was you talked or expressed what was happening, but when you think about it theres humer in some of what you say. The shifting form anger to panic mode made me laugh the most, Imagining Sesshoumaru's face changing expression in a matter of two seconds just tickled me. Thanks to Snowfall for pointing that out, you make me think about what I read! :) Goes to show that reviews are the awsomeness! ^-^

And maybe it was that draw that scared the attacker away! Kewlies. Snow
| Title: Chapter 37 Reviewed By: Snowfall [MediaMiner Member] On: March 25, 2006 16:55 PST Comment/Review: See, told you that I miss stuff. I've read this chapter a couple of more times. Things that our found amusing are: None one talks about Sess 'that way', Sess thought that his behavior was 'a tempered display of his displeasure', the picture of Inu being plopped down and ending up on his back with Rin laughing, Sess's opinion that Inu was 'slow on the uptake', and Sess's youki going into 'panic mode'. Your wording on these makes me smile and laugh. Also, I found it intriguing that mates who are able to exchange youki are only usually able to do so after the third or fourth mark. It'll be interesting to see where you go with that.----So, I was right. I need time to really study a chapter or I don't get to comment on everything that I want to.---^-^ Snowfall aka Hanyou Slave

| Title: Chap. 37 Reviewed By: Bibi11 [MediaMiner Member] On: March 23, 2006 20:20 PST Rating(s):Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Quick, call the 'mate' counselors! Sesshoumaru is absolutely clueless about what really goes on in a relationship. LOL It's about give and take - there should not be just 'my way' or 'no way'. Sure, he's the alpha male, but, Inuyasha is the alpha 'female' of their family to be. That implies sharing because they both will be leaders for their family pack. And Sesshoumaru is certainly not sharing his alpha state. No way, no how. Poor Inuyasha, again he finds himself in a dual position; Sess thinks he is only the beta mate but Inuyasha is at the same time filling the role of the alpha pack female. And then there is Sess's jealously issues!! No wonder the fellows are having such a hard time. Hopefully Sesshoumaru will realize that his strong-arm tactics won't work on Inuyasha. Had to shake my head when he tells the healer that he just 'touched' Inuyasha. If he were human it would come under the heading of abuse. I can just image the look on the healer's face when she does check Inuyasha and finds a huge bruise on his arm and a very sore shoulder caused by his escape from Sess's crushing grip. That poor lady! But she must be made of stern stuff to survive in that household. I hope she gets a chance to voice her very correct idea about what makes a good mate relationship work! They both need to hear it. Had to chuckle at Sesshoumaru. He was thinking the least he could do was to make Inuyasha comfortable when he passed out. Argggh!! I should hope he would take care of his poor mate! LOL I got the feeling that Sess was doing him a favor by picking him up off the floor and granting Inuyasha the privilege of being placed in his futon. What will happen when Inuyasha's youki has absorbed as much of Sesshoumaru's as needed? Will it start to back-flow the 'excess' into Sess and perhaps drag his emotions and feelings to him? Would that start the third binding? Is it possible for just one of the pair to initiate or does it take both to participate? I imagine that Sesshoumaru will 'fill' the very low youki in Inuyasha but that would mean his youki in turn would become low. Thus it would cause a 'leveling out' so to speak after a while with my 'logic'. Which brings up another thought. The healer was able to detect that Sesshoumaru's youki was already streaming into Inuyasha to support him; did Sess inadvertently use his youki to actually war with Inuyasha's youki in the battle for dominance and so put more stress on an already bad situation? Another lovely chapter! Thank you!!

| Title: Chapter 37 Reviewed By: Snowfall1 On: March 21, 2006 15:02 PST Rating(s):Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Sometimes I wonder about Sess's intelligence. He seems to be utterly clueless. He has absolutely no idea, nor does he seem to care, about what is going on inside Inuyasha's mind. However, his youki was not very happy at not being the center of attention at breakfast. It sounded as though his youki felt that it was being rejected and was perhaps even hurt. What!? He wants a fawning Inuyasha? Not likely. Sounds like Sess has been deprived of a mates affection for way too long. Poor thing, feeling as though Inu didn't think he was worthy of consideration. Hm, maybe now he knows how Inu felt. Still, he's treating Inu more like a possession accept when Inu is weak. I feel like telling him, "Get a clue, will ya!? LOL Though he was concerned that Inu was still hungry, it was not a good sign that he thought that his concern was all youki and he might not really give a damn, and he was appalled when the healer asked if they had done the third mark. It makes me wonder if Sess really wants Inu as a mate anyway. There is a lot of room to question his devotion to his mate, even though there is only one. I can't believe that he expects Inu to just submit, especially with the human blood. Clueless. I liked your description of the scream and how Sess never wanted to hear that sound coming from Inu again. So, will Inu fully recover without going critical? Does Inu and/or Sess's committment to the relationship affect Inu's health? Can Sess truly bring Inu back all by himself? I would think that the gentle, tender and oh so concerned Sess is sweet except that Sess only sees it as his youki's doing, not his own. He's blaming his OOC'ness on mating season as though he will dump Inu when it is all over. Not a good omen. He needs to be seriously bitch slapped! Uh hum. Sorry. All he is thinking about is pleasing his youki in keeping with a promise. He doesn't seem to really care about Inu at all. He is confusing. I can't figure out what he wants. Maybe it is because he is confused.-----Well, great chapter. Plenty of meat and the little action appeased my action addiction. LOL--Snowfall ^-^

Neither one really listens to what the other is saying and their inner dialog is just too funny at times! LOL I really like the whole mating mark idea you have worked out. Would a human be able to see the marks as well or do they appear in the light spectrum that only demons can see? Would the marks develop color over time and look similar to a tattoo for humans in that respect? IMO Sesshomaru totally missed the implications of the mating mark that Inuyasha gave him. Inuyasha said it 'reminded' him of the Goshinboku because it was huge and majestic. He did not say that it was the Goshinboku. I think that Inuyasha's desire for a family created that symbol; it's a family tree. I bet if Sesshoumaru found a mirror to look in he would find the branches filled with demon dogs and puppies, proudly overlooked by two large white dogs. Maybe they are hidden in the picture and you have to look for them. Just like the 'find the hidden objects' pictures that are so much fun to do. The whole breakfast scene was hysterical! Rin was great; I hope we get to see more of her. Nice characterization. And then there was Inuyasha's reaction to the seating arrangements. LOL!! He's complaning that he's not the 'female' and what does he do but 'bitch slap' Sesshoumaru! Absolutely priceless!! I do hope for poor Inuyasha's sake that Sesshoumaru doesn't try to kick him awake (again Inuyasha is reacting in a true 'B' class movie heroine moment by fainting from over-wrought emotions). It looks like Inu's youki has been almost depelted. Will Sesshomaru's youki now demand that he complete the third claim in an effort to feel and finally understand what is going through Inuyasha's mind? Looking forward to the next chapter! Bibi

This all just happened to fast for any certainties. Add to that that it is mating season and no one is in their right mind. It was cute that he thought Sess was being presumptuous and that Sess's assertion that Inu was home was 'the single most ridiculous thing he had ever heard come out of his brother's mouth.' I love your wording, always. You're so witty. Poor Inu with his 'unattainable desires'. Well expressed. I wonder how it is that Inu's human side has now become stronger. I am glad that it has, although it has not been healthy thus far. I just don't trust Sess anymore than he does. Sess's motives are shrouded in his aloof demeanor. He doesn't even seem to know that he cares all that much about Inu and truly hasn't accepted him on more than a basic level of quieting his youkai and keeping his promise to his mother. I don't understand why he would attack Inu if he knew that Inu might be pregnant. Someone needs to kick his fluffy ass. Perhaps his youkai could do a really good job of that. That just kind of really pissed me off. (Getting into the story a bit much). If I were Inu, I couldn't live with the jerk either--- Rin was so cute, as always. You did a really good job at making her three dimensional in such a short time. I liked Inu's little conversation with her and his attempt to ignore Sess. I definitely would have liked to have heard her answer to his question. She probably loses her appetite when her lord is away. Such a sweetheart. And Sess is still an ass. Sorry, can't say it enough. So, Sess's treatment drives Inu's two halves, the submissive youkai and the insecure human, to war with each other to such an extent that it causes him physical pain? That's terrible. Will it kill Inu if Sess can't reassure Inu's human side? The bastard probably won't care either. Too bad that Sess's behavior is instinctual. It means that he won't allow Inu to be away from him, not that it wouldn't kill Inu to leave anyway. Which is another question. Would Inu die if he left Sess right now? Does he still need nourishment from Sess's youkai? You have done a really good job with characterization. However, in later episodes and in the third movie, Sess actually acts like he cares about Inu's welfare. In the episode with the poison master, Sess saves the group and keeps asking where Inu is like he's worried. In the movie, Sess shoves Inu out of the way and takes a hit from the bad guy. Sess also reacts quite swiftly and violently when the bad guy tells Inu that he (the sort of bad guy) was the one to send Inu's mother to hell. So, Sess actually does start lightening up a bit and showing some concern, although he does intentionally hide it. He does try to be softer with Rin though. So he isn't really a complete bastard. Just a snob. I am anxious to see how you portray him treating Inuyasha now that this new problem has come to light and in the event that Inuyasha becomes pregnant. I really enjoyed this chapter. Thanks
