What a wonderful way to end this journey, but I'm so going to miss it. Thanks so much for an excellent story.

I love reading this story, sometimes just picking a random chapter and reading for thirty minutes or so, because it is so entertaining. It's nice to see a resolution to their stories that is just as well written and satisfying as the whole story. Normally I don't like to see endings, because they can be cop outs, or cheesy, or something like that, but you did such a good job making the ending actually part of the story and not just something to stick on the end for fans or to end the thing. Part of me is sad to see it over, but good things must end, ne? And the story is still there to read, and I certainly will be rereading this several times through. You did a wonderful job, and I greatly enjoyed reading this story. Good luck in your future endeavors.

My love of these guys wishes you to give us little oneshot glimpses of them once in awhile, but if you don't, I'll still cherish the sharing you did give us. Congrats and thanks!

I like the way your wrapped it up and brought Kags back to herself. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Or is that the glass of wine I just drank? Haha... Can't wait to see how you wrap it up... and then for your next project, of course!
| Title: Loved it all the way Reviewed By: CandyEars [MediaMiner Member] On: June 25, 2008 21:00 PDT Rating(s):Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: I also was a bad reader not reviewing - but now it's done (i guess?) I have to say it has been one of the most enjoyable divergence/alter world story I've ever read. Some of the re-telling (as an Inu addict) was a little cumbersome - but how you weaved it in and made it your owning was very enjoyable. YOu obviously spent a lot of time going back to the manga to capture certain story arcs just right. Bravo! Keep writing, and we'll keep reading! Thank you for sharing your talent and imagination!

Seriously though, this was a wonderful story, and I'm sad that I won't be able to look forward to more chapters of it. I understand if you take some time before writing anything else, but I look forward to anymore work that you may put out in the future. Bravo.
| Reviewed By: Caitriona [MediaMiner Member] On: June 22, 2008 16:45 PDT Comment/Review: Feni, all I can say is wow. The ancient Greeks felt that people needed catharsis in order to be balanced. And this chapter was an epitome of catharsis. I actually read this night before last but I wasn't able to review until now. The whole time I was reading this chapter I cried. I cried for those that had been lost, I cried for Kagome's pain, I cried that Yashita couldn't help her, I cried at the gentle love between a horse and rider, I cried over the jizo statue with the little white dog tied around it, on that last one I actually cried until I hurt just a little. Kagome felt such horrible guilt that she had survived and had come forward to the future and those she loved hadn't, especially those in the village and those that had come to fight with her. When she came back through the well she was expected to just be over the past in a snap. For those around her, even Yashita, it was a thing of the distant past. Momiji's 'kidnapping' allowed her to slowly come to grips with their deaths. Even when she 'forced' Kagome to retell the last day of the battle and face the families of those that had died, Momiji rocked completely. I think one of the things that was best for her was finding Ieji and Ita's mates in the citadel. They were a living and tangible link to the past that she just couldn't get from Yashita alone. Being allowed to immerse herself in the descendants of Kumo did something similar. Finding Ah-Un put a smile on my face in the midst of my tears. I think that the fact that the demons hadn't really changed in appearance made the 500 years between seem almost fake. Seeing Ah-Un aged as he was helped Kagome put the timeline in perspective. Rin was another vital link in Kagome's recovery, I believe. The fact that she was willing to describe her loss of voice and Kagome's budding alcoholism in the same basket - with no anger or blame - helped Kagome to see it for what it was. I was able to stop crying about the time Kagome and Yashita were sitting in the garden looking at her snapshots of her trip. By being able to come to a closure on her past and on her child by herself, it showed the strength that Kagome really possessed. From a completely selfish POV, her trip allowed us, the readers, to see how things had ended up ourselves. The orange glass, the flowers in the slayers village, the lush green of the mountain, the bellflowers - you allowed us to have a sense of closure as well. I think that is one of the reasons I've loved this story so much as time has gone on. While I look forward to the epilogue, I love this chapter. Thank you for writing it for us.

I just love that she cuts her hair and disappears for a couple of weeks. And I love the way they are when she returns. ::sigh::: "I will protect you always" -- man, got to get me one of those inu-hanyou....
| Reviewed By: Raeko [MediaMiner Member] On: June 21, 2008 21:42 PDT Comment/Review: /sigh. You did it! I'm glad you didn't end it by Christmas after all, because I needed it now and if you'd already finished it, I'd have already read it. ^_^ I've been an awful reviewer though--skipped how many chapters in there? Sorry about that, I went on vacation and started a new job and have generally been terribly distracted. I was disappointed with pretty much everybody in the last couple chapters. It wasn't a problem with your writing or your plot or anything, and honestly I would probably see it happening the exact same way, but for the number of people who care about the girl, how did nobody figure out what was wrong with Kagome?! For crying out loud, nobody even picked up that she needed more help than she was getting for how long? Even before the well sealed, nobody seemed to understand how hard going back and forth was for her with the possible exception of Yashita, and when she shut him out afterward, you'd think SOMEbody would have stepped up a little sooner than Momiji did. Taking away Kagome's powers was a very interesting twist, by the way--when she was already wondering how on earth she'd manage to live as a civilian, and then to have that thrown on top of it...ouch. I cried a little when 'Riko and Fenik said goodbye, to each other and to Kagome, and again when she told Yash about going to the shrine for their baby...and that's saying something, because I don't cry much. Damned if this hasn't been one hell of an epic story in any case--the whole weight of it being over is making it hard for me to comment about it! It's been amazing though, and thank you for putting so much into this, time and effort and soul. --Cheers and cookies and love from Rae

Whisking Kagome away to re-encounter the person she was comfortable with and let her unwind from everything she was keeping inside. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is something that people have to treat with warm feelings of freedom and friendship just like you have been able to portray in such a Magnificent way, and not with tweezers like some people do. I ADMIRE the fact that you put your mind toward completing this masterpiece, and did not leave it so close to the end and hanging of a cliff, thank you for all the warm feelings, tears of sadness, wildness and adventure you have lead us to live out along with the Inutachi for these 80+ chapters. Loving the fact that Kagome finally came to terms that the past is for remembering and the present presents us with a chance to make beautiful memories. Love Pinkit!
