(other wise it was a right about of *shivers, icky, grossed-out feeling*

As Naraku gets more enthralled with using her, Kikyou is beginning to become wary of him and wonder if being with him is worth what she is being forced to do. Kohaku and Kanna are realizing that they are being used and are showing a desire to be with sisters instead of helping Naraku. I liked the research approach. It gave us more information about what was going on without having some character launch into a monologue.

It looks like everyone is starting to add everything together and figure out what's going on. I just hope that they haven't put the pieces together too late. As for Kikyo, I'm glad to see that there are limits to perversion, even for he. Unfortunately, it seems like she may be waking up too late. And is she's putting all her trust in Bankotsu.....she'd better not, lol. I look forward to seeing what happens next. Good one.

Where did I come up with that notion? When Inuyasha was told what might be her probable fate and Miroku studying his emotions due to the new moon night seeing his emotions more because he's human now. Poor Inuyasha timing all bad now that Kagome's may be in danger. Keep on keeping on! Peace!

I can't wait for the next chapter. I'm really starting to wonder what Naraku's got instore for Inuyasha and the gang. Keep up the good work, my friend...and keep on howlin'!

Always did have a soft sort for the practical and spartan communication of Inuyasha. Though now I'm eagerly awaiting showdown at the Higurashi shrine... I feel comfortable the gang can handle it, but Naraku is a devious bastard, and to try to save Kikyo at the same time... while a nobel endeavour, I think may have it's wrinkles. Can't wait to hear the next installment!

The thrill, the nerves, the expectations for what was going on. The mystery of what were they hidding. The timing to show Inuyasha's human night. Loved the idea of Miroku's been inspired by vampires stories to place the spell. Wonderful. I'm so hooked on this story that now I'm all eaten up due to the suspense!!LOL Great job sweetie, great job!!!

I love the way you have your characters in place. I must say that this chapter is abrasive in the description of Naraku and Kikyo. And Bankotsu... well I find he's one to take or leave. Kaguara and Sesshomaur's relationship is mysterious to me. But I bet you'll straighten me out.LOL! Congrats! on your nominations and seconding in the categories given where your story is recognized. Peace!

I think that this dialogue made them stronger as couples and better able to face what lies ahead for them. Now that Kagura and Kagome have been told why the inus behaved the way that they did they are better able to deal with the brothers. I glad that Miroku has finally realized what Sango means to him. It is almost sad what has happened to Kikyou.

Each chapter is like taking layer after layer... like peeling an onion!LOL But seriously, loved the paced you are working this story. The switching scenes really help the building of story, like taking you to the top allowing you have a peek on the different protagonists behaviours. Makes it more interesting and thrilling. One of the things I like the most is that, although this is an AU, you keep all of them in character when it's not really necessary. I think that is one of the hardest thing to accomplish considering that this is an AU, a different world, a different environemet, but in escence they are the same. Really love it and am enjoying it a lot. Thank you so much for this wonderful story, keep up the great job.
| Reviewed By: Milareppa [MediaMiner Member] On: August 09, 2008 07:18 EDT Comment/Review: Apologies for the length of this! It was good to see that Kagura's standing her ground. I don't blame her for wondering about Sesshoumaru's commitment - everything he's said, both to Inuyasha and Kagura, suggests he's still fighting it. Despite its unexpectedness, she's embraced it. Kagura's right to send a message she will not be used, he has to resolve his reservations. It seems they trust each other, but not yet enough - and that makes them vulnerable. Naraku could yet make Sesshoumaru's fear of being attacked through a mate a reality. I like the way Sango and Miroku are reaching for a thread of sanity. It seems like they feel out-of-control right now but are level-headed and strong enough to hang onto a lifeline so they're not overwhelmed by the situation. They both realise the potential they've found in each other is too important to throw away with stupidity. It's good to see that while Inuyasha and Kagome reached a decision on how to approach the problem, they know agreeing on a course of action is only the first half of the battle - sticking to the agreement is the harder half. I'm sure they'll get there in the end. I notice a similarity in these three relationships - the woman is not afraid to stand her ground to ensure the relationship doesn't ruin her self-respect thus keeping the man involved respectful of her. Kikyou doesn't seem to have this self-confidence. She appears to be willing to give up her very self for a man. If she cannot respect herself then men won't either. I know that so far she hasn't indicated she's after love, just money, but the fact that she's willing to demean her own sense of self for money, does suggest her self-respect can only be measured in terms of physical wealth. The fact that she has some idea of what Naraku is after and planning puts her into an interesting position. At the moment, she's clearly driven by selfishness - she appears to only see a person who's interested in someone she has a strong desire to hurt. But I'm interested to see what she ultimately ends up doing with her unique position - could things go too far for her to stomach or will she remain bitter to the end? I've not enjoyed Kikyou's portrayal in this story, but this chapter makes her interesting. She's such a contrast to Kagome, Sango and Kagura. They're the women who are truly strong - they don't compromise who they are to get what they want. Kikyou is tragic. It's nice to see Jii-chan learnt his lesson, but he's easily flustered when caught on the spot. That's very human. He's not built for intrigue and he's not a liar. He's very vulnerable but he's trying to do the right thing. After his mistakes, it does feel like too little, too late. Hopefully, Sesshoumaru's put some good men on guard at the shrine to help out - although I fear they may be no match for Naraku. Hopefully, Myouga's information will help the gang - unless Bankotsu's scratching means that Myouga was there on the wrong night to the really good information (if Myouga's the cause at all). Confirmation that they're definitely interested in the Higurashi shrine might be enough to begin a strategy against Naraku, especially if Myouga's successful in locating Naraku's base of operations. It feels like the Higurashi shrine will soon be in for a rough ride.

And Sesshoumaru is deservedly in the doghouse with Kagura. Arrogance and power aside, it still would have to hurt a woman to have her mate deny theur relationship, even in private to his own brother. As for Inuyasha and Kagome, I'm glad that they cleared the air. It's just sad that it had to go to that extreme before Inuyasha would admit what he needed. Hopefully, though, after all this, it won't happen again. But, finally, as for Kikyo, what an utter slut. Her two partners are almost as nasty as she is, but she gets extra filth points for allowing herself to be demeaned that way. I just hope that Inuyasha and company are ready for the storm coming their way. I look forward to reading the next one.
| Title: Chapter Twenty Two Reviewed By: FarAwayEyes [MediaMiner Member] On: July 20, 2008 14:52 EDT Comment/Review: I'm not surprised that the Chinese translator was targeting Inuyasha personally in his mistranslations. What a disgusting thing for him to do to ruin the exhibition and insult Sesshomaru that way. It seems that people will take cheap shots at Inuyasha no matter where they're from. It's pretty foolish on his part, if you ask me. Just because Inuyasha is a "half-breed" it doesn't mean he's stupid. It's amazing how people think that about those different them from them. I suppose it's easier. I have a funny feeling Sesshomaru won't tolerate such behavior, if those guards herding him away means anything. Poor Miroku. He must feel so guilty now for going off on his own and now this happens. I'm glad he punched that guy in the face for being such a prick, though. He deserved it. I feel so bad for Sango. She's so private about her scar and the circumstances around it and now she's stuck in a public place with no way out. It's horrible what that man said to her, considering that he's wrong about her and has no idea why she has such a terrible scar. I do hope Miroku will find her, even though she's locked herself away from everyone. Sango's going to have to learn to trust him and her new friends because it'll be vital down the road. I'd also say that at this point she really doesn't have much of a choice in the matter if she'd like to ever go home again. I was right. Miroku does feel guilty for Sango's mishap. He's getting to that panicked stage as he can't find her and has no idea where she might have gone. It's a far cry from the man we were first introduced to that spent his time womanizing and hopping from one bed to the next. His care and concern is starting to shine through here. Poor Miroku. I'm not surprised that Sesshomaru trusted him over the drunk man, though. Considering that man was a party crasher, Sesshomaru really didn't have any obligation to him. It's nice to see him rely on his brother, too, for the Chinese translations that way. It certainly averted any long term damage the other guy could have caused between them. I get the feeling that Sesshomaru takes his position very seriously, be it just an art curator rather than a mighty lord. He doesn't sluff off or treat it disparagingly as some might think he would. I do hope that Kagome and Miroku will be able to convince Sango out of her bathroom so they can help her out. It sounds like it'll only be a longer night before it's all over. Leave it to Kagome to reassure Sango that they wouldn't stop being her friend because of a scar. It's terrible that Sango has it, but it's not her fault and it doesn't make her a monster by any means. I'm glad Kagome handled the situation. It's just like her to take charge of a situation like that and tell people what to do. I'm glad Sesshomaru listened, too. He's not big on taking orders from others, although he is much more mellow in this story. If anything, this situation should let Sango know that she has dear friends who will do anything to help and won't judge. After all the bad things that happened that night, it'll only strengthen their friendship, I'm sure. And despite letting the guy go that attacked her, I have a funny feeling that he won't get away with it for long. He shouldn't, either. It was so sweet of Miroku to pick Sango up---and so trusting of Sango to let him. I look forward to catching up on the rest!
