That was so cute, him helping her catch a fish :) be can be such a sweet man when he wants to be. If they only brought one tent then tonight should be interesting to say the least but it seems like she's really coming around to him. FINALLY!!! |

A camping trip away from all business and modern life seems like its a good way to let them finally get over those last few hurdles. Who knows, it just might be what ends up winning Valerie over. And hikers can't help but bond over long trips like that. I can see it becoming a bit of a tradition to go disappear into the woods for two weeks a year (or more). It's only a matter of time now... As an avid, though often silent, reader of your works, I love the way you've stemmed off of the original Inuyasha story. Your characters are vivid and entertaining. Throughout this story, I have very much enjoyed seeing how Valerie and Evan developed their relationship. Valerie's curiosity about Evan's method for catching fish is adorable. I can't wait for the next chapter! |

Slip, sliding away, slip, sliding away...I remember the sensations of sliding into love and slowly becoming aware of that fact. V's waking up to what she is feeling. I suspect the conversation she has with herself regarding Marvin is VERY INTERESTING, not to mention the one she has with hEvan. I almost feel sorry for Marvin, but he will probably be happier without any distractions from his research. No wife to distract from his work. Idiot! |

There was something sweetly satisfying about this chapter hun. I think it may be how we got back to the raw essence of Evan, the one hidden by the the rockstar image. He's free to just be out int he wild with V. And I'm happy V get's to see him that way. |

*Shudders* Cade really gives me the creeps! I can't help but admire the way you made me feel to dangerous. Also, that party, well some people just do what they want, it's their lives, who cares what those girlfriends/groupies do, it's their choice and who are we to say that they don't deserve their sexual freedom. But I have to agree with Valerie, I don't think I could survive a party like that since I'm such a goody too shoes. Gotta admire her for keeping her cool like that, especially after Cade, Nate and that really sexist ass that she had to deal with. Also, Evan could learn a thing or two about being a little nicer to her. But I'm really holding my breath about the whole "Mate" thing. I hope things don't come down on Evan too hard, the demon world can be scary. Thanks for the great chapter! |
