Also - one more question I couldn't fit into the above - I know that you have been pulling some of you fics because of certain unpleasant situations. I was wondering if you have (or ever plan to) post your fics in a way that would be downloadable (either as one big doc or pdf). I know that you are not allowed to make money on your fics and you don't have any interest in publishing but I generally make it a habit to return to books/stories I like (I have a book I reread yesterday that I read for the first time in 1997). If you ever decide to do that I would love to know about it so that I could attain a copy for future perusal. :)

You keep Nezumi on a shelf, and you get her down when it pleases you to play with her. When you're done, you put her away, and you don't spare her another thought until someone looks at your toy . . . until someone else wants to borrow your possession. That is a rather profound observation. If more people realized that they did that then there would be a lot more happy people out there. Stammer in all the righteous indignation you want. And that is just fricken' hilarious! I will likely use that in the future! (not in a fic but when faced with people with misplaced rightious indignation). Also, I am curious - it seems that in Ryo's case (at least) his youkai side is actually more level headed then his human side. In the series Yasha's youkai side always seems to be the impulsive, violent part ... is it different for every individual? I can understand a more observant and level headed youkai side because of Seshy and his practically stoic ways but I was just curious as if there was any specific logic or reason you imployed. I also want to say that the maturity and logic of your writing is refreshing. Your vocabulary alone puts your writing above most. You write insights into your characters that I think lots of people don't grasp - let alone understand well enough to integrate it into a fiction. It makes me wish I could know you in real life ... as odd as this likely sounds - your fics make me believe you are likely a good friend/person.

"Know Thyself" is the uncomfortable position Ryo is experiencing now. The realization that his 'youkai blood' chose Nez that very first day when they were children hit him hard. And then understanding that in his efforts to protect her, he isolated her from others just as surely her father did. Her father went so far as to distance himself as well while Ryo was her only real contact. It may have been unconciously done, but the guilt for having done it is all too real. Now that Ryo has some of the answers he's been looking for, he's taking steps to fix things. They may still be baby steps and he may be a bit unsure but his heart is true, it will lead him in the right direction. Her father, having had his own mistakes dealing with his heartbroken daughter thrown in his face, has also seen Ryo's passionate determination to take care of her and is content to know she is in good hands...better hands than his own. Quite a bitter pill. *considers gushing like a fangirl and sighs* Ryo is...just awesome! Clueless; yes. Has Baka tendencies; yes....but still awesome! I hope your proud of your pup Sue, because I am.

This last chapter was 'the moment' in the story for me. A turning point where neither character can hide from their feelings any more. Or one another. They are trying to but at this point, it is a farce. It's 'do or die'. I like that Nez is not giving up and is willing to give as much as Ryo. But she is guarding her heart so fiercely from being hurt that she can't see what's there in front of her. It makes you feel so sad for her. That she's so young and carrying so much around inside of her. I really wish she had her father there for her but the good news is that she had Ryo for a very long time in her life. No wonder she is so afraid of losing him-of making the wrong choice-like what happened with her mother, she is treading so carefully, terrified that she will do something to destroy it all. And the saddest part is that none of this is her fault! Thanks for all your hard work and the update. (I try to say this to you b/c of the feelings you've expressed about needing to take a breather from fan fic and so on). It's the least I could do. :-)

Nice long chapter. Hope you keep posting for a very long time. I just wanted to say before I started reading your stories it used to take me around forty to an hour before I finished an nine thousand word chapter for anything. Fan fiction to English homework. But since Ive been reading your stories I got it down to twenty minutes. Just wanted to thank you for posting these wonderful stories and sharing them with all these people. Take as long as you want to update.

Squee!! Hooray for another chapter!! I love Nezumi, I just can't get enough of her ^__^ A question about your choice of the name "Deirdre" - did you choose it as a charactonymic of the Deirdre of the Irish legend of Deirdre of the Sorrows? Or - if I remember correctly, Nezumi's mom is Irish? Or Irish-American? - did you just choose it because it's a fairly common Irish name?

Ohhh! Ryo-Snuggle! Fun. Great chapter, so happy you updated! Very good scene in the resturant and Ryo's reaction to the dress. This is such a great story, you are very talented, I eagerly (and patiently) await the next chapter!

I just love that chapter it makes me laugh so much...which I needed tonight. Ryo is so close in figuring out everything, I can't wait to see his reaction when he finally does. The vision I got in my head of him sniffing out that dress was priceless. You never cease to amaze me...I may be the brainstorm beta and have a clue about what is coming in the future, but the way you bring it to life always amazes me.

Another wounderful chapter! I just love those two. Nez and Ryo have to be my favorite Purity characters so far. It must be the Inuyash/Kagome lover in me. Their relationships are pretty comparable aren't they? Do you mean for that to happen or was it just a niffty byproduct? I hope Nez lets Ryomaru in and shows him the box. Someone has to take the first step in opening up after all. Thanks again for sharing your talent with us! Hope to hear from you soon.

well now that I've caught up to you in 'purity 3' (I'll bet your glad about that, lol) I was wanting to ask you if this is your favorite fic? Why? Because I haven't seen any sequals to your other fics, and honestly the hell you went through with Metamorphosis, I don't expect a sequal to that. I did actually hope for a sequal to Chronicles, is that a possibility at all? ja ne, Kurisu oh and BTW: I wasn't nocking the purity series I really like it, I was just curious, great job!
