You could always have Shiori as one of the judges ^v~ That would even out some of the angst that might happen in the competition if there are any other narrow minded bigots there as well. :p I also got several cute images of what the painting is going to be of in that scene! One was a portrait of both of them holding one another, and the other was of Kagome with a white dog... meh, you really got my imagination going! :p

i think this was such a sweet chapter. starting with the interaction between inuyasha and kagome gave a sense of growth and strengthening of inuyasha's character. that fact that he's able to accept physical closeness with another is so far from what he was when the story started. the tentative emotional interplay between inuyasha and jinenji was well done. it helped explain the persona that inuyasha started with, and why it's so hard for him to trust others. i think if you feel it's the right time for the competition in the next chapter, then it's the right time. your instincts have been good through the entire story. i can't help but wonder what the consequences of the competition will be. thank you for another wonderful chapter

So glad to see IY becoming more comfy with K, and their relationship. She'll bring him out of himself yet, I reckon. So sad about Jeninji, will he be back? Would love to see he and IY together again, they both deserve it. Here's a ? If IY is in this competition, and he wins or places, won't his dad be likely to see? And wouldn't that lead to a great deal of pain for our hanyou? Or will it take a while, and IY's confidence builds enough to stand up to him? I can't wait to see how you play that!

I like how you contrasted the two moms and their attitude towards their sons. You have a sensitivity to people's character and an ability to communicate it that I really, really think shows great talent on your part! If you feel ready for the art competition, by all means, go for it. I love to see how Kagome interacts with Inu...I really love your characterizations of them. And good luck on the IYFanguild voting! Glad to see this story so well nominated!

This is a lovely fluffy little chapter. I like the reaction of the crowd to the kiss. I remember getting kicked outta one of those photo machines when I was younger. :) I think you did a wonderful job of describing the kiss. A lot of authors will just say that they kissed, but you described it and the way Inu reacted to it in a wonderful way. Thanks for sharing this with us. I look forward to seeing where all of this will end up.

hehehehehehehehehe... *grins* I for some reason, can't stop smiling. :D That was an awesome chapter. I like how their first kiss was captured in a photo booth. Thats always a priceless first kiss, for a couple, and for someone's first kiss ever. I love how Kagome encouraged Inuyasha to kiss her after the movie too. It was beautiful. Oh and thunder thighs? LMFAO.. I would have assumed that the material was stiff, for it to flare out like that, but I dunno. Good question. Well keep up the great work, and I can't wait to read what happens next.

Finally! Aww geez, I think I have a perminant blush! DUde this chapter killed me! Kagome is the brave one in this relationship. Somehow you've taken a REALLY inexperienced guy, which doesn't really work for me under normal circumstances, and made him adorable and interesting. LOVED THIS CHAPTER. it was worth the wait! I smiled all the way through this, beginning to end. So sweet, those 'new love' feelings, the embarrassment, the uncertainty. You handled it wonderfully. And the kiss? Beautiful. Excellent tension and pacing, and the emotions were just right. You handle fluff and cuddles very, very well.

wow. I can't remove the cheesy grin from my face. You did a wonderful job. I especially laughed at the author's note at the end of the chapter, in reference to Inuyasha's pants. I was laughing so hard. Amazing chapter and ai look fowards to what's to come!

I loved this chapter! It really conveyed the awkwardness well. The way the lightest and seemingly simplest of touches can feel so intense when things are new. It really reminded me a lot of how my fist kisses with my fiance were. The Inuyasha in your story actually reminds me a lot of my fiance. I am trying not to go off into la la kissy land while I am writing your review... So now, I guess, in accordance with the rest of the story, the other shoe will drop... I'll be waiting!
