While I am enjoying this story, this particular chapter just broke my heart. Whether it was Sess's cold betrayal or Inu's rememberace of his mother, this chapter was full of angst and was cathartic in a way. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, great update. Thanks for the warning too. I have come to expect a lot of angst from this story, but it was nice to be able to prepare myself. I'm glad that you promised fluff at the end of this chapter. I don't think I could have gotten though the wedding part without that. It's not think what you actually wrote was that angsty, it was what I was afraid COULD happen. When I think about it that really makes it perfect too because I was afraid something worse would happen than what did happen, but the characters behaved exactly as you had developed the to do. You created an environment that lead the reader (or at least me) to believe that the worst COULD happen, yet it couldn't because of the characters involved behaved exactly according to how you created them (or rather altered seeing as it is fanfiction) You have no reason to be jealous of these characters because you paint such an intricate picture with subtle layers and intriguing parallels to the origional that your art is on par with that of "your Inuyasha".

I just discovered this story. I don't normally read stories that look like hs stories, but I am sooo glad I picked yours up. You capture something wonderfully clear in the type of heartbreak growing up like this boy InuYasha that makes me want to hug him like Kagome and make the pain go away, and the bit about his relationship to Sessh, his mom's relationship to the family, and his place in their world ring so true in their dysfunctionality. I have added this to my favorites, and look forward to reading more.

You put the Wow in Wowzer! *ducks shoe* alright, alright, that was a lame one - but I honestly enjoyed this chapter a LOT. There was so much pulling of heartstrings, and a deep-rooted wish to throttle a good number of people... I'm sure that's what you were aiming at, and it came about 101%. You made Inutaisho out to be an exception bastard of royal quality here - We don't really know him in canon, so one can't be sure of anything, but his character here is very well executed. I'm also beginning to wonder at how dependent Inuyasha has become of Kagome, and I'm waiting keenly to see your written describtion of the painting he will produce of her... I'm suspecting that something about the climax scene will concern that, and I honestly can't sit still in my seat. -- Risking a cliche` comment eternally engraved in Review Lore; please do update as soon as you can. Although we all have a life, I'd gladly give away a couple of hours of mine to read through any of your chapters of generous proportion...

and wonderful reviews you shall get! I adored this chapter. It was everything I could possibly hope for (except inu and kags kissing, but maybe later). I was upset at how Inuyasha was treated and that Sesshomaru couldnt even appreciate the painting Inu did. That bastard. I still say you should kill them off. I wouldn't cry, I assure. I'd probably cheer. heh. Anyways, great chapter, hurry up with the next one! Keep up the good work!

Oooooohhhhhh, I'd just like to pinch someone's head off. Or maybe other body parts. Poor IY. Will he ever get a break? Get out from his familys hate? He's got too, there's nothing else that will do. (nods head firmly) Very sweet but heartbreaking scene with K. Glad he's opened up to her, to realize he needs her. This was very well done, both sad and comforting. Excellent.

Dear, writer Let me be the first to say that, I LOVE YOU! That bastard Sesshoumaru! I wish that Inuyasha threw the painting at his stupid head! I wish that one day he sees the exact painting in an art museum someday and wants to buy it, (Only to be surprised that it was once the picture his brother gave him for his wedding and distroyed later, only to draw it again) but when he asks Inuyasha to sell it to him, Inuyasha says no, "Not on you're goddammed life!" That would be awesome! Also, I want his mother to DIE! Anyway, I love how he went to Kagome, and that was so cute, how you made her brush his hair. ^_^ Please update soon! I'm dying to know how their relationship is going to go! Please don't make him suffer too much! I almost cried when I read about how everyone at the wedding treated him, I mean throwing food and drink on his backpack! Bastards! Goes to show you just how racist and stupid people are! Of geez, I'm rambling. Well I love you're story that much that I can't stop talking about it! And oh my god, how could Sess say JAKEN, Freakin Jaken of all people, is the "brother he never had!" I want to rip his hair out! I've never hated him more! You've REALLY made him the antagonist!

The story is so bittersweet, I love it! You portray Inuyasha so well! I'm half expecting something horrible to happen so that it will all come crashing down on Inuyasha! You also write Kagome wonderfully and I am glad that you ended up throwing Sango and Miroku into the mix, even if for a little while (I joined the story a little late!)! And back to a couple chapters ago, Sesshoumaru was very realistic! You didn't mess up his character/personality at all! Kagome is discovering so many things about Inuyasha, I can't wait until she finds out more! I love the story, please update soon!
