You amaze me. That chapter must have been excruciating to write. It hurt to read it and I must say, tears did fall. My heart broke into a thousand pieces. I imagine he is alive somewhere and has been kept secret to protect him. Was it his sponsor? I do not know, but my heart cannot bare to wait too long to find out. I must compliment you on the extrodinary job in datail to emotion. I felt his fear, I felt his dispair, I felt Kagome's panic and wanted to scream into the heavens for justice to be served. What of his father?? I can only hope that there is some seblance of punishment for what he has done to his own son. Shame on Sesshomaru. I love him, he is one of my favorite characters in the anime series, but he was an ass in this one. But it was neccessary none the less. I appreciate you so much for writing this fic. Thank you, and I will await the final ending.

Wow, I have been waiting for this chapter for a month. I must say, that was the most heartwrenching thing I have ever read. The tears are still coming. But, I think it was an amazing ending. Even though it was sad and depressing, I loved it. Your portrayal of Sesshomaru's character was perfect. I wish I could say more about how wonderful and moving this story is, but I don't think I could even begin to explain how much this story has touched me. The feelings that surfaced as I read this story are so powerful that I am rendered speechless. I am pleased at how well you showed Kagome's hurt and pain without going into detail about her emotions. You described how she felt through her actions, not her thoughts of hurt. And that, is what I think makes a story great. You are an impelling writer of stories. I am swamped with emotions right now. You are absolutely wonderful.

I found your story a few weeks ago and I started reading. While I was reading this story, this story brought out emotions that I hardly feel when I read a fanfic. You did something that I hardly do. You made me cry thoughout this story. I thought that when my favorite fanfic authors started disappearing that I would never find a good fanfic author that I could enjoy their work. I was proven wrong when I found this story. Like any reader I love happy endings, but I can definitely see why this story had to end the way it did. I a looking forward to the happy ending, but I believed that the story has ended here. Can not wait to read another one of your stories.

KEEP IT! OH MY GOD KEEP IT! i love this freakin ending!!! didnt expect it but its PERFECT! it almost brought tears to my eyes (they welled up a little) and i hardly EVER cry while reading a fanfic. this ending makes the whole story more beautiful dont ruin it with a happy ending (some stories are better with sad endings, makes them more memberable) but OMG! I FUCKING LOVED THIS FANFIC!!! im still speechless! holy hell.

I have waited on this ending for some time and true to form you don't disappoint. Sadly, oftentimes in real life, this is how these stories end. As a counselor, I have worked in women's shelters and have seen the abuse of both women and children and even though it's sad, it highlights a very real need in our world. If you suspect something like this, you gotta act. I do look forward to the Happy ending because who doesn't want to see this lonely boy have a little joy in his life. You are an excellent writer and have that rare ability to draw your reader in; leave them spellbound, and panting for the next installment. Truly gifted....Keep writing, please...

omg! i cried! that's not the way i wanted it to end. i wanted him to make it out of there alive and happy, and as i was finishing up the rest of the chapter, i wanted him to come back and have it be all right, but it wasn't. i'm glad theres a more happier ending coming, but i'm just unbelievably sad right now.

I have to say you have SOME courage. I wouldn't have the stomach to write something as tear jerking as this! Not to mention write so that the drama is tangable. I can feel my heart racing at that moment when Inuyasha and his father were arguing! Oh I'm so scared! I'm still reading and I keep thinking, "Let him go you monster!" God I don't think I've hated his father more! OH that was BRUTAL! SUCH A SAD ENDING! IN A WAY, I LOVED IT! THAT BASTARD SESSHOUMARU DESERVED WHAT HE GOT! In another, it was painful on Kagome's part. I hate tragedy's but this was one that I actually liked and it made a lot of sense. Like a great artist that lived a sad life. Now I'm wondering which ending you're going to put up will be the real ending. I'll be sticking around for more.

oh wow. I cried real tears on this one... :P I know people don't always get happy endings but these two deserved theirs--absolutely heartbreaking. Well done. I'm very glad you're writing a happy ending though! (Very, very). I'm a sucker for those too.

wow. I was cryinlike the little baby I am when I read this. And good to know that there will be a happy ebding in all of this. :) Oh, and quick question, could you clear up for me whether or not Inuyasha and Kagome had sex on christmas eve or whenever it was? Cause I know it never specified, and I thought they didnt but when I think of it, I;m really not sure. Please update soon!

I don't cry. I hate crying. And right now I kinda hate you. You are such a talented author, so good at your craft that you make me experience emotions I don't like to admit I have. You have succeeded well in creating a Japanese story. All about the journey not the destination, with that hit you in the gut and make sure there is no possibility of hope, tragic ending. I suppose this is something to be commended for but honestly, I don't like it. I want my happy ending, to hell with the lack of reality of such a desire. Life suck and then you die, I get it, that's why I read this stuff, so I don't have to constantly face those truths and can for a brief moment believe that the good guy does win and that true love conquers all. But dammit you went and made me cry.

this ending was so emotionally wrenching, i really don't know what to say right now. you did such a food job of depicting the emotional void left in the lives of those he touched most: kagome's unwillingness to share her most personal experiences with anyone at the service, and sesshoumaru's rejection of the idea that his brother's death could cause any emotion in him, at all. i did like the exchange between kagome and sesshoumaru at the end. you did such a good job at making me feel the emotions of this story all the way through it's roller coaster ride, that, right now, i feel a little betrayed. but it's a real life betrayal. sometimes, bad things do happen to good people. and at least he had people who's lives he'd touched who cared about him. it's just that after making it look like everything was going to work out so well, and as you said, he was almost there..., to have this ending, really confused my emotions. i think you did your job so well that i feel almost as if i've lost someone i care for in my life. now i can see the relevance of the title, not just in the relationship he had with kagome, but in the ending you had planned. i am glad that you have an alternate ending planned. i hope it's as good as this one. i think you did a superb job with this one. i don't think i've ever read anything else that made me feel so much. a good story always makes the reader feel. not always feel happy or complete, but just feel. the depth or height of the feeling at the end of the story is a marker of how good the story was. this was one of the best i've ever read. i will be looking forward to the second ending, but even if it leaves me with a happy feeling, i don't think it will make me feel more than this one did. thank you so much for all the work you put into this, and all you gave to me, through it

I'm so glad that you will have a different ending. That's the only way I can actually appreciate this ending. It's just too sad. I knew the moment that I read that there was two endings that he was going to die, so I prepared myself to try to handle it... well, I was still in teas my the end of the chapter, and I would have been in tears way before he was even hurt badly if I hadn't prepared myself. I was kind of surprised that Sesshoumaru actually felt something, but I guess I shouldn't have been. It was prey clear that when Inuyasha first moved in, Sess wanted nothing more than have Inuyasha not exist, so he pretended he didn't... I doubt that Sess will ever see that there was more to Inuyasha than he had thought in the happier ending, but maybe with time he would have... Maybe it wouldn't take a combination of his death and his art to open Sesshoumaru's eyes. I hope you put out that happy ending soon. I don't want to dwell on this one, but I'll probably do it anyway. You are a very talented writer. I hope that you start another story soon because I love your work.
