My heart is pounding in my chest. Gahh that was a hard chapter to read, I could feel his fear. I am still scared. His father knows and has set a trap for him....he should have never gone home. His window is gonna be nailed shut or something. Fudge, I am so concerned now. I cant wait to read what happens, are you gonna make me cry?? I love this story so much. I am glad you have written it. As for the lemony goodness, I think it would be beautiful in this story, however if you too shy it is understandable. You know a lemon does not have to be graphic, just sweet and romantic, and lawd you have that pegged. Ok I am done here, I will wait for the next chapter.

Really missed this! You always manage to run through the entire emotional spectrum each chapter. Amazing highs and crushing lows. My heart breaks for him every time, and my desire to see him strong and whole grows as well. Wonderful, wonderful story!

this chapter was a study in contrasts that kept my emotions on their toes through the whole thing(that is, if emotions were to have toes). going from the warm fuzzy to the cold hard, from the forlorn to the joyous, and from the teasing flirtation to the deeply emotional. i love a roller coaster ride! i don't know how you managed to keep the tone changing back and forth, but it worked so well!!! and the emotional sharing between kagome and inuyasha was just so perfect. you have developed your characters so well that i can feel their emotions as i read. thank you

Wonderful combination of the "Awww" factor and the stomach dropping suspense factor at the end. You've made me a regular nervous Nellie now, awaiting the next chapter. The gravesite scene was very touching. I love how IY's character is slowly, but surely coming out of his shell to show that he does have a fighter deep down. I hope next chapter doesn't prove it to be detrimental to his life. Oh, good luck with Calc... blech!

*giggles* Well then, Ms Well Oiled Machine, I hope you had some lovely holidays, and I hope this new year brings you exactly what you want (meaning entrance to your favourite university! You go girl!) -- Of course, after a chapter like that of such intense positive emotions, you're going to mix in some negative ones. It's just proof that you're a natural at writing darling! the right amount of suspense, the right amount of joy and relief, following each other in a vice-like vicious circle. -- I can really say that you've got plot; it was a nice set up, having Inuyasha slip up verbally to tip off his dad that he was up to something, and it was also a lovely move to have our boy stumble over his words so badly when he was telling Kagome. You make him sound like a boy who's almost a man, at last, rather than a romantised fantasy of how 'men-should-be'. But then, you know that I'm nutty for characterisation, so there's a little bit of bias for you. I don't know if I'll be able to send you my second review by mail this time ^v^' I start work again tomorrow and I haven't even begun putting my stuff together... Midi gets lazy like that sometimes. The part with Gamyou was a bit rough in the beginning, you're right - there was a tiny lack of the introspection that you usually imbibe your writing with as a whole. But it was already there by the time his patron had his hands all over his paintings (must admit; I'm jealous... I'd really like to see them too). -- Now then, I anticipate a veritably horrible rough spot next chapter. I'm also beginning to wonder whether Ms Higurashi and Gamyou will fill in the maternal and paternal missing figures of his life. I'm sure about Ms H, but I'm still shaky about Gamyou. After all, he made no mystery of the fact that he loves Inuyasha's art, not the boy himself, and he hasn't yet had time to come to care for him properly. Although I suspect there's enough gooeyness in the patron for Inuyasha to grow on him - like a big, fluffy fungus :3 ---- I'll shut up now, and I promise I'll try to get back to you by email later! AAAAhhh, you're evil to stop at a place like that!!but im very glad that you updated!! i love this story,and even though the concept of an abused inuyasha has been done many times before, this story has captured me with how touching and realistic moving it is..

When I read this a while back you only had about 3 reviews and I was shocked. Now on this site and fanfiction.net, the reviews are as they should be. Phenomenal! Congrats on your awards. This story still brings me to tears. I'm a little nervous about that Dad showing up. I hope he doesn't beat the hope of our poor Inu. Just when things are looking up. Once again, the suspense is built. You are one helluva writer. And again, keep your writing up when you finish school. You have a gift. You write with such... a natural grace. It is to be envied. So, so, so VERY happy to have this back. You made me laugh, cry, and smile. And then go 'oh shit'! Knew the good times couldn't last. When will his dad get what's coming to him? When will IY finally be free of him? Will the combined forces of K and his new benefactor be enough to sustain him past this? Hope so, b/c I want to see him happy, and all this mess behind him. Wonderful, how you draw people in to this, very well done.
