There's just something magical that occurs when Izayoi family members get together, and this chapter was no exception. Nice to see Belle get a chance to play the older sister role, and Valerie's reaction to her age was priceless. She's gonna blow an ass gasket when he tells her the truth. Evan's relentless teasing doesn't seem to be getting him very far, unfortunately! Ugh... I have a feeling that he's gonna end up just like Gin. Wonder who's gonna have to save the day then? My money is on Gin or Miss... Miss would be a good character to pull that off, given what she's gone through.

All the Purity men, poetry in motion and all, have always made me wanna see them in drag. So, outside of the Onshot with the boys of Summer, I was seriously lacking there; then comes Prudence--Hildegard for short? Kidding--I'm HURTING from residual laughter, here! The Silence of the Lambs reference, the backwards "stuffed" mooning of V, the Picasso reference to the fake ta-tas, the bulge...oh, hell. I think that last minute laugh is signalling a sudden potty break...brb. Okay, me back. I feel 3 liters lighter. o.O NEwho...I love the way Evan makes V laugh; she really needs some carefree in her life. Makes me REALLY want to know the little girl/teen/young woman inside that's so scarred/gun shy/emotionally closed off. But, I digress... LOVING the Chirstmas theme-named hula girl and can't WAIT to read Cain's response to his multi-gendered hula girl Xmas gift! Heheheheheheh!!!! Wonder if he and Gin made up, yet. And that Final Though from V...now she must REALLY think his family's bent. Or inbreedeing. LOL! LOVED the TEASER in the forum! Can't wait for the newest chapter!!! These last two chapters gave me laughter when I SERIOUSLY wanted to bawl and roll up into a ball--life's kickin' my ARSE--so thanks to your mad skills, I had legitimate reasons to smile and guffaw for a bit. THANKS!!!

That was just too perfect. I had a GOOD hard giggle off of this!! V and her automatic assumptions via appearances...Bambi blew your mind with that research gig, huh? No WONDER Mikey didn't get all defensive when V told him he needed to get laid a couple chapters back--outside of his initial frustration at the deviations of Zel Roka, I imagine he was chuckling sumugly in his head, him and his youkai voice: "If you ONLY knew, V..." Back to the wayward couple, it's a damn shame to be so under the influence you forget--or assume it's dillusional--your first major Big O. Oh, V... Glad Evan's smart enough not to push too much too fast. Now I think he's gonna have to learn patience, anger management, vulnerability and openness; the difference between going for what your heart and soul--and inner youkai--know and learning the gentle art of compromise, tact, and maturity. You can be smart as a whip and lacking in other major personal aspects. Evan's spent so many years not taking himself seriously and has now been reunited with his mate, who's in so many ways, very serious about a lot of things. They really influence each other well and I'm SO looking forward to seeing them court in-depth. Still, I really feel for Marvin. Dude IS tunnel visiony and all but, he's just so accepting of what V portrays as "okay relationship etiqutte" that he goes with it. So, I wouldn't say either of them are at fault, per se, just not generally willing to put their relationship to any potentially strenuous tests. I hope Marvin finds someone who really CAN appreciate him for all he is and can be in a truly, fully commited relationship and I hope to hear more about him in future Purities. And Violca (who's human, like Marvin, so...okay, Purities DO stretch out some, decade-wise)...um, okay, at least in the newest Purity. Am I rambling? why, yes, Sue--how'd you guess. Off to my next comment! Hope you're feeling better! **cyber huggles**

Okay - these are just a random questions: what type of demon is Cain? (I think I remember reading that he was inu-youkai but then he has that weird fire attack thingy…) Now in your stories there are instances of mixing among youkai. Does that weaken a youkai by any chance? And say there were conflicting elements such as fire and ice; how would a youkai's power be reflected then? I'm just wondering because I'm rereading all your stories plus Subterfuge and I'm curious about Bailey because he's cat and dog… Though I can see how a cat youkai and dog youkai would come out, what if a predator youkai (like a wolf) mixed with a prey youkai (like a bunny)? This only sparked my attention because I saw on Nature (gotta love PBS..lol) that the offspring of cheetahs are becoming weaker because there is some interbreeding with local leopards. So, for the actual review of Subterfuge… ZOMG!! V looked at pi-chan!!!! >o< *childish* I know that happened a while ago, but after that chapter and the fake matrimony chapter, I was compelled to review. Y'know, sometimes, Evan reminds me of that one Eminem song called "Big Weenie." And speaking of which, I can't help but to remember from Purity 5: Phantasm that Bas has a huge…you know…as well. My morbid curiosity is wondering who the heck is bigger. …-__-;;;; But anyway (one last set of question, then I'm out! Promise!!) where do you get the inspiration for all these song verses that you put in the beginning of each chapter? Did you make up the lyrics for the song that Evan sang for V the first time they had sex? Because if so, DAMN those lyrics are good! This review is entirely too long… *scowls* which just goes to show that I really shouldn't review multiple chapters at the same time… Keep updating because I love Evan and this story so much!! (I would be his fangirl! =^__^=)

Okay... so I feel a bit on the guilty side for not having reviewed in quite some time! But here I am now!!!! AMAZING!!! As always your updates make my day! I literally look forward to the days when you usually update! And then when you do a suprise update... well I just never know quite what to do with myself!!!! :D Looking forward to the next chapter as always!! BTW... Evan in a dress well that just brightened my day more than you could know too, especially after some really crappy shit that's going reading that Evan was in a dress... well it was a really nice break from the reality of my life.

She knows Evan's obsessed with music, so maybe she thought it would be funny to reference "Dear Prudence" by the Beatles?
