So, does that mean that her sister is one of the girls that she was fostered with, or did her biologics (sorry, I can't call them parents) have another 'accident'? I guess that Valerie's history can just prove that your beginning doesn't necessarily point you toward one destination. I almost have this scene now, of sometime down the road during a Christmas, where Valerie opens this present and its the princess lunchbox that she wanted as a kid... then again, that would probably be in bad taste, seeing as it was the last time she was in a 'complete' home. OMG I'm balling my eyes out. That's so said and so true, it makes me sick some kids are treated like that. And what's worse is I know it's true for so many kids. I don't know what Evan is going to do now, but I can't wait.. P.S. I'm really worried about V's sister now, because as bad as it sounds people don't change.

Wah! Im gonna cry!! *wipes her eyes* Man Ill tell you, Vs story took my right back to my elementary days. I never had it THAT bad, but I can remember going through some of the same things. Poor V T_T I hope theres a confrontation with her parents some time *grs* I wanna see Evan lay into them or something *shakes fist*. Im sure Gunnar would say that THOSE are the kinds of people that should not be allowed to procreate, even if it was a wonderful little girl they had! *grumble grumble* So now we finally know more about Valeries past *nodnod*. I seriously cant wait to see where this is all going to go. I never thought this story would last that long xD.

Yeah, like most, I think she's checking on her sister online. Hope to of their relationship--or, lack thereof?--soon. I was like "awwww!" when V thought she hurt Evan's feelings and I just KNEW he'd get all defensive about her apology. The "You. Will. BEG. Me. For. It." comment made my knees knock--Gawd, Sue, I keep having to remind myself that Evan's fiction. **delicious shudder** I love, also, how in tune Youkai are to their emotions and nuances and Bone's comment about the Future Mrs. Roka was just too cool! Lovely chappie!! Happy Birthday, Sue!!!!!!! (enjoy that treat ;) )

Goodness Sue! I had tears in my eyes the entire story. I know it bothers people when kids are hurt or in bad situations but I think it hits home more so when you have children. I've always been sensitive to others feelings but to think that V is like so many other kids hurts my heart. I can see poor little Valene so cute with grunge and smudge marks all on her face. Kids are cruel but foster care was probably the best thing for her. I'm at a loss for words, Evan is too I bet for once in his life.

I know V would be pissed if you felt sorry for he r but I do. although I also feel pretty damn prud of here for succeeding besides the odds. She's a very strong woman.

Why do I feel like Evan is going to be looking for some payback for Valene. I suspect that Val's parents thought she was better off without them, or was convinced of that, but really wanted her back and still miss her. Evan realizes now he doesn't have room to complain about his family, they might have been exasperated by him, but they would never have let those things happen to him and he knows it. I am glad that they are back to being "friends" again and that Val recognizes him as her other half on some level. It will be fun to see him getting her to realize it. I love being a fly on the wall as you torture (not literally) the characters.

This mystery has been building and building for so many chapters, and the revelation was handled quite nicely. I love the 'let's tell a story' premise, and some of the things she went through were just horrid and disgusting. Having more of Evan's thoughts on the subject might have been nicer, because I don't think that--just from reading--I feel the intensity of the revulsion I know he's feeling, if only based on previous stories. Then again, I'm sure we have many more chapters to observe this. Great chapter, and I can't decide if getting to read this two days early is better than having to wait an extra two days.. ;-)

Words can't really describe how much your story moves me from chapter to chapter. Some chapters I'm laughing out loud until tears are streaming down my face and others I'm silently sobbing at the images that your story evokes. What more is there to say but thank you for this story. Incidentally I do remember the stinky kid who gave me lice and like Evan I wasn't overly mean but I wasn't overly nice either.

That was really sad. I don't remember the smelly kids name but I do remember what he looked like, I remember the teacher getting mad at all of us once and saying that if you had to comment on someone's smell then you did so quietly and to there face don't say it behind there back or make fun of them. I think that would be worse just to have everyone talking about you in class like that. Anyway as sad as I was I liked the chapter, it was nice to see V's past, can't wait for the next one!

That was some sad shit. I'm not gonna lie. But at least V's past is finally up in the air. Thanks for the early chapter. I loved it, although it was devastating, and the chapter kind of brought to light that yes, I do remember the name of the smelly kid from my school. Sad as it may sound, it's the truth. In a sense, you're writing is pretty inspirational Sue. Thanks!

gah! I've not gotten to review the past few chapters DX V!!!!! ;__; Her story keeps getting sadder and sadder. She tells Evan these things that she would never be able to tell Marvin DX when will she see that shes in love with him ;____; Someday she should find her parents and let them see what shes made of her life; so they would feel terrible for not wanting to be parents for her. Of course, Evan would be with her during said visit 8D cant wait til monday DXXXX

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! It was finally nice to know what happened to Valerie Denning. That's really sad. I mean for a little girl to go through that and not know what's happening and why people don't treat her the same, it's terrible. Poor V. Well, now she has Evan, who'll care ofr her and all that jazz...however now she has to understand that. A WHOLE different story. Well this was great. Very insightful! Can't wait until Monday! -MSMND
